no ogggs I am here - loved your photos - how cute do all three look together.

need to go find more food - it has been a mamouth feeding day today

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 21:51

Evening ladies.

Ooogs, your photos are lovely! Delighted to hear of your successful bid on ebay! It is so satisfying isn't it!

CD, hope you are ok.

WCL, I HATE party bags! As you say they are full of crap. I hate the bubbles most as they make the wood floors like an ice rink. And those bloody things that you blow and they make a racket.... Grrrrrr.
I thought about giving the children a CBeebies magazine each when it was B's birthday, but went for the tat instead!

Can't remember a thing else.

K has had a dodgy tummy this afternoon. I did wonder why she was so tired earlier today, and not that interested in her milk. She took most of it tonight without any nappy changes needed, so we shall see. She seems happy in herself at least. Just hope it isn't a bug as it is my birthday this Thursday and dh is taking a half day so we can go to lunch .

Hope everyone is ok. Going to head to bed soon as not sure what night we might get. Af arrived today aswell, and have horrid pains - boo hiss!! x

eca · 09/07/2007 21:52

AHHHH! Just deleted a massive post Went something along the lines of...

Spoke to Lollipop lady. She's lovely and really helpful and going to help me try some taking into account things like we don't have a tumble dryer. octo Her name's Sarah, but she's new to lollipop. Thats as much as I know at the mo. Seeing her friday. Thanks for all the advice everyone

bramshott awww at tears at the school. I will so be like that in 4yrs time!

KHIN Can't believe you're going it alone until sat! Good luck babe, fingers crossed for some sunshine!

CD lol at your dd's antics

leaky Running you brave woman! Although I did buy a swimsuit today ...

elkie hope the new pram's good

katy lol at T and his socks

oooggs YOU HAVE THE CUTEST KIDS !!! !! They are adorable!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 09/07/2007 21:57

Zaza's, I think your X dh is being ridiculous tbh. It isn't a competition FGS! Did lol at the incident at bath time - not at poor S getting her face in the water, but at her peeing on dp! Good on her.

Right, time I wasn't here.

eca · 09/07/2007 21:58

zazas you ex is being COMPLETELY unreasonable!! Why on earth would he resent you taking them, especially as he's taking them first, so no surprise ruined or thunder stolen etc... Wierd. You sound like you're doing the right thing.

zazas · 09/07/2007 22:09

Thanks for the support I was beginning to think that I was being unreasonable - guess you can understand why he is my ex

What made me laugh (and I shouldn't) about S putting her face in the water was that I take her swimming and she loves to go under. DP has since admitted that he panic somewhat and she was probably crying because he grabbed her a bit hard Wondering if I should perserve with encouraging him to bath her!

WestCountryLass · 09/07/2007 22:12

Zazas, your ex definitely being a fuckwit! Obviously will be a similar holiday experience but surely both differnt as in different countries for a start with different parents

SOSKL, I think last year I gave the girls a little tiara type hair slide and the boys got penny racers and some chocolate. I don't mind my kids getting the tatt but I won't spend my own money on it as most of it in the bin the next day. I am sooooo mean!

zazas · 09/07/2007 22:28

WCL - couldn't have said it better!

I also find party bags a nightmare. My fav thing to do is to order books from The Book People in sets (they come usually in 10's) and give each child a book and party cake. I have also given them daffodiles in a pot before and beans to plant!

leakyR · 09/07/2007 22:58

CD and Zazas - yes men are slightly crap (see one big meet up and the fact that I have now put 3 lots of preference down)! Your ex seems totally unreasonable Zazas - a holiday is great fun as a child wherever you go and whoever you go with. They won't mind going to CP twice it's stuffed full of things kids love to do!

Sorry to all those having bad days with older dcs.

KHIN - hope all goes well until saturday. You're a marvel!

Looking forward to my Doidys being there when we get back from hols.

Mind melted - might have to go to bed. Not running tomorrow. Off to Seahouses if weather is nice.

Goodnight

leakyR · 09/07/2007 23:00

Meant to say re Doidys -thanks Dippy

CaptainDippy · 09/07/2007 23:18

Quick post on my way to bed .... I am ok, I just am ticked off with men, namely my DH. I'll get over it.

SOKL - WE SHARE THE SAME BIRTHDAY!!!!!! My Birthday is on Thursday too! Yippee!

Glad the Doidy Cups seem to be arriving ok.

"See" you tomorrow - I'm knackered....

elkiedee · 09/07/2007 23:30

nutty, your ebay joke wwould have been very funny if I'd got it, obviously I'm just slow on the uptake, or I was reading with divided attention.

I managed to lock myself, my dad and a screeching baby in the baby changing room Marks & Spencer today (my dad had thought I needed some help with the screeching baby). M&S failed completely to respond to the emergency cord being pulled or the store's phone number being called (it was well past 5 pm and we were in there in the first place hoping the rain would stop). Fortunately my dad spotted the missing inside door handle lying around the room and was able to use it to open the door. Whew, that was scary!

Sorry to hear about CD and zazas' experience with crap men.

Tomorrow I'm off to the "due in May" postnatal meet up in Bethnal Green - I was invited a few weeks ago. Strictly no tube trains involved.

weeonion · 10/07/2007 08:12

morning folks!

dont want to put a downer on the thread but heard through the night that a friends baby died with SID. she was the same age as c - we met in antenatal classes and in hospital. awful, terrible, horrible thing to have happened. i just dont know how she can cope.

all i have wanted to do since we heard is hug c.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 10/07/2007 08:13

Wow CD, how lovely to share a birthday with you. Sadly I think I am more than 10 years older than you!!

Hope everyone is well.

K still off colour, but gladly last night she slept through again.

Need to go. Back later. xx

geordiemacminx · 10/07/2007 08:21

Have you heard from vio recently?

weeonion · 10/07/2007 08:27

geordiemacminx · 10/07/2007 08:46

could do later afternoon... after 3?

bumble75 · 10/07/2007 08:47

Morning Ladies,

WO, god that's awful, can't even imagine how you would begin to cope with that.

Seems we had our day of sunshine yesterday in Edinburgh, clouds back in full force today, glad I got my lazy self out for 2 walks while it lasted!

liath · 10/07/2007 09:03

Your poor friend, WO. I can't begin to imagine how devastating it would be . Having kids is great but it does make you feel kind of vulnerable - I never imagined a love like the love I feel for my children and if anything happened to them.......

Please pass on my love to Vio when you see her. I know I've never met her but her posts on the Scottish thread have been so heart-breaking.

I won't be around much for now as I'm off tomorrow to stay with my middle sister in London - hope the weather is nice & we can get out & about with our babies. Her little girl is sleeping through the night . Dd is getting very excited about going on the "choo-choo train" bless her .

AngeG · 10/07/2007 09:27

Oh how awful for your friend WO

Hope you have a good time at your sisters Liath.

CD - Thanks for the Doidy cups...they arrived yesterday but were taken back to the office because I wasn't in Just been and picked them up this morning.

Izzy seems ok after her jabs yesterday, I gave her some calpol last night as she seemed a bit hot. She still slept for 11 hours so don't think she's too bad

Hope K is ok SOKL.

Work today I'll try and get back on later.

elkiedee · 10/07/2007 10:00

weeonion sorry to hear about your friend's baby, know what you're saying about hugging yours.

liath, hope you have a good time with your sister. The weather's mixed here in London at the moment, it was lovely a lot of yesterday and then there was a horrible downpour as I was about to set off home. It's been similarly weird for weeks, go out and get the sunshine when it's there but take raincovers for buggies and macs or umbrellas with you. Hope your daughter enjoys the train and that you all have a great time.

SOKL, you're just over a year younger than me (I think!)

Must get ready to head for Bethnal Green now to meet the May 2007 gang.

mammyjo · 10/07/2007 10:03

Hi all. Ange, glad the jabs went ok. at going back to work. I am going back the 2nd week of September for only one day a week but I really really dont want to go. If I could manage without the money I would not go back. Why didnt I marry a rich man?!

SOKL, hope K is ok today.

WO, what an absolutely awful thing to happen to your friends baby Just cannot begin to imagine how that feels. I work with children who have cancer and there are times when the treatment does not work. Since having children it has made my job so much harder. Really gives you a perspective on how truly lucky you are to have healthy and happy children.

Cant remember any more, hope everyone is well. Oooggs, you children are beautiful!
