PinkChocolateFrog??

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 11:08

Happy birthday Aidan!!!!!!

2Hap - loving Vino's new name

DH is having J for a few hours this afternoon on his own in preparation for me going back to work when he has him on his own on a Monday. Am off for a shop methinks

J has just had a nap for an hour and a half. Think putting him down later is the answer...

2HappyRotter · 13/07/2007 11:10

Oh and I loved the Worst Witch books too as a kid. Now where's me magic wand...

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 11:10

PinkiusCandiusFlossius (say it as though you are saying abracadabra...?? )

2HappyRotter · 13/07/2007 11:11

Glad J is more settled, oh wheezy one!

pinkcandyFlooPowder · 13/07/2007 12:00

decided to go for this one

2HappyRotter · 13/07/2007 14:33

(Like it, PCF!)
Right. Both dses in bed (for the moment), so can I have 5 mins for a rant please?

I have to go back to work on 6th August. Unfortunately, my child minder is on her hols from then for 2 weeks, so I have been scrabbling around trying to find people to fill the gap. I only work mon and tues am and all day weds. My mum works mon & tues so will do the wednesdays. My dsis has v kindly offered to do the second tues (despite having a toddler and baby of her own!), my dad the first monday. This only left the first tues and the second monday (with me so far?). Now, will be the first time ds will be without me, he'll be newly on solids, may not manage without a bfeed, new to cup feeding EBM etc so cannot just get a 14 year old to babysit IYKWIM, so options limited.

Asked mil if she and pil could manage. She sucked her teeth, thought for a week, decided they could do it. Fine, I tell work all's ok (they're a bit mardy as it is because I'm taking an extra month to get ds2 to 6m before going back - his fault for being so blooming late!). But she was a bit funny about my mum doing two full days and kept saying she could do the weds if I needed.

Fecking mil phoned last night, oh we're not sure about the first tuesday after all, don't think they can manage it. Oh but they could do the wednesday so my mum isn't doing it. WTF?!!! If she thinks she can bloody manage the whole wednesday (just to spite my mother and stop her from doing it) then WTF is the problem with just the tuesday morning?? They have no other commitments. She said if we really couldn't find someone she'd consider it....we only bloody asked because we really can't find anyone else! Seems it's ok for them to offer to look after ds1 on their terms, but when we ask a favour it's a no-no. And she just slipped into the conversation that they aren't after all taking ds1 to his cousins b'day party like they had demanded 2 weeks ago, they've decided not to go. Thanks for the notice. I wasn't 100% chuffed about them taking him, but had been going to spend sunday trying to cluster feed ds2 since dh is working all weekend. Bloody woman. Grr. Sorry, I know it's nothing like what you've been going through this week, Jodie, just wanted to get it off my chest! At least it's pissed dh off too, since he normally sticks up for her when I'm bitching

eandh · 13/07/2007 14:37

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 17:44

2Happy - how fecking annoying. Is she always a spiteful cow????

geoRGEEweasley · 13/07/2007 18:39

What a delightful mil 2Happy. Shame we don't all live on the same street. The MN childminding service

Wilkie what did you do this afternoon?

PCF your name made me

Eah - I bet work really gets in the way of MN!

Last minute weekend plans. DH and I are off to York races tomorrow and mil's babysitting. Result! Anyone any hot tips? 2Happy?

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 19:51

Ola. Day 2 in the dummy-free household (well I say dummy free - I mean no dummy when awake). Getting on brilliantly - he's not bothered by his dummy TBH, only for naps and sleeps. I am doing it gradually so will tackle naps and sleeps in a couple of weeks...

RGee - lucky lucky you going to the races!!!!!

Not much to report here. Had row with DH last night, made up this morning....same old shit

theUmbridgeDryad · 13/07/2007 20:12

well dh didn't get the job he was really hoping he would get. we're getting drunk tonight.

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 20:13

Shitter UD

JodieG1 · 13/07/2007 20:18

2happy - mil sounds like an old hag, sorry she's being so awful

Lal - hope Aidan had a lively birthday

eandh - hope you're having a great night out

Rgee - that sounds fun, have a good time

Wilkie - glad J is doing well without his dummy. I think rows are common when you have a baby
tbh, lack of sleep and all that. Plus it's hugely different having a baby in the house.

Had Ethan up the drs again late this afternoon with a rash, she thinks it's viral and not a reaction to the antib's, hope so as he's probably allergic to penicillin as me, dd and ds1 are. She said his throat is red and swollen though, poor thing, I feel so sorry for him

JodieG1 · 13/07/2007 20:20

UD - cross posts, sorry to hear that

vinorouge · 13/07/2007 20:39

Jodie - what a week you've had. Lets hope next week is brighter and less eventful!

2happy - love thegobletofrouge but how do I change my name?

Rgee - would a win on the races compensate for your jealousy of meno's flash supply??

Ellen has been grumpy todsay, it must be her teeth. That, combined with the rain and stroppy bus drivers has meant I've had a hard day. Feet up with DH and a bar of choc now

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 20:41

Vino - go to 'MyMumsnet', 'Registration' and change your talk nickname xx

JodieG1 · 13/07/2007 20:46

Vino - tell me about it, I feel so stressed now. I knew things happened in 3's but this is
ridiculous! I have my headphones on now listening to some eminem loud, rare I can listen to
loud music these days lol. I really need a night out, was going out for a few drinks tonight
with my friend that lives next door but have put it off until next week. Hope Ellen feels
better tomorrow, once the tooth comes through it should help.

If anyone fancies a proper night out clubbing one week let me know!!! Hehe, god I do miss a
good dance at a club sometimes, I love the cheesy clubs like Chicagos

JodieG1 · 13/07/2007 21:17

I'm going to scream soon, some people here are twunts

WikiesWizardWheezes · 13/07/2007 21:45

Jodie - ave you had a drink my love?? tell more - who are twunts so we can kick ass....

(Wilkie's feeling tough)

JodieG1 · 13/07/2007 21:48

Hehe link here www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1375&threadid=355593&stamp=070713213929 my eye is twitching again just thinking about it grrr. Lol I'm so pissed off and shouldn't even bother. Are you on msn wilkie? Can't see you online. Must watch my grammar though lol

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 13/07/2007 21:56

EaH, I got about 10% of it done and have given up now.
We have aviewing tomorrow at 11am, arranged at 6pm this this evening so I've been running about like a headless chicken trying to get it all sorted.

I#ll list what I've done today.

Put washing on and some in dryer.
Taken ds1+2 to school.
Gone to morrisons to hire carpet cleaner thing.
Taken ds3 to school.
Gone to town to try and find a rug. Failed.
Came home fed Ds4.
Tidy breakfast stuff.
Dig hole for dead guinea pig.
Try to pick up stiff ded guinea pig and have a mild panic. Manage to maneuovre it out of the hutch and on to spade.
Put stiff pig in hole and realise hole not big enough.
Stuff it in anyway. Cover with soil and bark chippings.
Back out to get ds3.
Get home and clean Hall carpet (OMG it was RANK!!)
Go back out to collect Ds1+2.
Cook and puree 26 DS4 size meals and put in freezer.
Tidy kitchen and feed big ds's highly nutritonal meal(super noodles/beans on toast).
Make bottles.
Dust entire house.
Hoover upstairs.
Put away washing.
Clean upstairs hall carpet.
Shower.

Die from exhaustion...well fucking nearly.

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 13/07/2007 22:29

oh...well i thought i'd done alot today, maybe i'm a lazy slatren and you all do this everyday...

GobletOfRouge · 14/07/2007 05:05

Wilkie I am ridiculously excited I've managed to change my name!!!

Can't sleep. Ellen woke at 2.30 and was awake until 4 by which time I was wide awake. Thank godness its the w/e so if I need sleep later DH can hold the fort.

LTH - impressed with your list of jobs. Hope the viewers appreciate the clean hall carpet.

I get in such a mess when I'm pureeing food. I try to be organised but I seem to end up using tons of implements and taking up all the work surface in the kitchen.

2happy - what a palava with you pil.

Jodie - I'm not a clubber at all. I like a seat and a natter where I can hear what people are saying. Old before my time!!

UD - how you feeling today??

Our exciting friday evening was watching midsomer murders. I am a big fan! 2 coffees and lots of fruit and nut = happy vino
