Well done LTH on a productive day!!!!!!!

Vino - PMSL at your excitement (bless you). I'm not a clubber either...take me to a nice italian with a large glass of something alcoholic and good friends to natter with (can I join your old lady club?? I know RGee is already a member....)

How can I possibly have forgotten to post this????? J STARTED CRAWLING YESTERDAY! It is amazing to watch. He covers the length of the lounge (about 3 metres) in about 30 seconds. He hasn't quite grasped the arms yet so is a bit wobbly but he moves at great speed Big gold star to J. [proud mumma]

Right, I am going to get ready and get the little man ready. Off to my friend's house for lunch and then later another carpet firm is coming so I can finally choose my carpet. We have had nightmares getting carpet fitters to actually turn up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 08:11

productive day ?????

Can I call that an understatement please?

My shoulders are aching, my back is crooked and agony.

And I still have stuff to do.....

BTW, did I mention that while I was doing most of that stuff DH was in the garden fannying about making a flower bed??

I think the PRIORITIES is a word that Dh doesn't understand!!

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 08:16

Wilkie, Crawling already??

Very cute and FAB though it is, I don't envy you one bit!

Sodding hell, I'm dreading G crawling!
Thankfully he's no-where near it yet, he hates being on my belly so I'm making it incredibly difficult for him to learn because he hardly spents any time on his front.

WikiesWizardWheezes · 14/07/2007 08:48

Q for you second, third and fourth timers.

When you start increasing to three meals per day - is it normal for their portion sizes to go down at each meal??

I.e. when J was just having breakfast and tea he would have quite a fair amount of food at each feed.

No he is having three meals, he has dropped the amount he eats at each meal.

Does this mean he's not ready for three meals or is it normal??

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 09:02

G sort of has 3 meals but the amounts have stayed the same....

(3rd meal is stuff he holds and stuffs in his mouth himself so not exactly a proper meal))

TheChamberofCarrots · 14/07/2007 09:26

I would just feed him how much he wants to eat when you decide to feed him iyswim. Although, if you'd rather he ate more in the evening maybe encourage less at lunch? I wouldn't worry about set times at this age but I know some people like more of a routine.

Yesterday F ate three square rice cakes, some lettuce and watermelon. He made a big mess. We are ordering a high chair today though.

Jodie, had a look at the thread you linked too, seems like someone from a clique says something assholey then the others jump in and say the same. Very annoying thing about mnet, though I do think 'stupid behaviour' is not that bad, some of the things said to you were outrageous.

WikiesWizardWheezes · 14/07/2007 09:32

Thanks guys, I am a routine girl (Virgo) so will just stick to giving him some fruit at lunch and then big meal at tea.

Must have been a night for it last night. Thought this was gonna kick off like the chinese takeaway thread but thankfully it didn't.

TheChamberofCarrots · 14/07/2007 10:02

It's funny isn't it, I can't abide routines, the very that I know what will happen at certain times makes me want to run away fast. I can't wait for the holidays so we can do everything differently, it's stifling.

AlfieJacksmummy · 14/07/2007 10:32

Sorry to crash - MESSAGE FOR LAUGHALOT!!! thanks for the payment hun but there was no address can you let me know please so i can send. Hope your ds bday went well
Sorry again ladies

pinkcandyFlooPowder · 14/07/2007 10:43

Jodie - I looked at your link and some of the responses you got made me That really annoys me about mumsnet too. Some people are such sheep! Going off on a tangent saying your dd is a liar- how f-ing pathetic! If people can't say anything constructive I don't know why they bother posting at all.

Wilkie- I replied to your thread and I don't think you done anything wrong at all. Although Alex doesn't have downs syndrome a big part of autism is unpredictable behaviour and I would be mortified if alex done that to a baby and equally would not be too impressed if it happened to Max but you weren't horrible or nasty so think you dealt with it very well.

Boring day here today! Nothing exciting happening

2HappyRotter · 14/07/2007 17:59

I haven't added to either thread as they seemed to have gone quiet when I read them (then computer crashed and am now trying to post before it crashes again ). Both threads bear horrible similarities to the take-away thread. Why the incessant need to be out-and-out bitches to people they've never met? It is undoubtedly the most unattractive facet of MN. Maybe I'm getting cynical, or maybe I'm MNing too much, but it just seems to be happenning more, people immediately posting rude arguementative comments when a polite constructive word would have achieved a lot more (or, hey, how about just not posting?? )

Anyway. dh has had to take a day's holiday (out of his massive 4 weeks entitlement) to sort the problem day out (and yes, Wilkie, you summed her personality up dead right!). I must have been totally wound up about it though cos I nearly burst into tears when he told me! But then he followed it up by saying he'd asked her to babysit for a wedding we have in a fortnight's time

W - can't believe the crawling!
LTH - tell me you're getting a break today!!
Lal - how was yesterday?
Vino/goblet - I def agree, a meal and a natter (now that will surprise you all, that I like to talk )

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 18:05

I am having a break no 2H, spant all moring finishing everything off though. You should see me hands...they look like they belong to and 80 yr old!!

But

All the ahrd work paid off.

1st viewer made and offer and its sold!

2HappyRotter · 14/07/2007 18:08

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 18:11

2HappyRotter · 14/07/2007 18:14

It's the arthritis from all the floor scrubbing!

2HappyRotter · 14/07/2007 18:15

eandh · 14/07/2007 18:58

rgee hope you have had a good day

pcf any new words/phrases from alex?

had a great night last night although we spent most of the night sitting and chattering, right got to go as chinese just arrived mmmmm yummy

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 14/07/2007 20:03

We have EaH, just waiting for the woman to come back with a yes or no.

eandh · 14/07/2007 20:28

fingers crossed for the LTH offer then when I read about other people moving I always get the urge then remember that after 6 years we finally have the house how we want it and I cant cope with doing it all again with 2 children in tow

LadyTophamSortingHatt · 15/07/2007 07:19

Just thinking about it we moved to our flat when ds1 was about 4weeks, then moved again when when he was 2 and I had 3week left before ds2's arrival, then again when ds3 was 2 and now again whne ds4 is a baby.

Bloody hell....That is quite mad, isn't it??

TheChamberofCarrots · 15/07/2007 08:57

I moved when heavily pregnant with ds1 and dd, with dd I had weeks to go and we had to change the bathroom. I was supposod to be having a home birth and three days before being due there no toilet. I was extremely agitated. In some ways it seems mad but then those are the times that you just want to be in the right place too.

Good luck with it LTH, and you need gloves with imbued balsam or whatever
