No Holly today? I could do with picking her brain about Will's tongue-tie.

...or anyone else who has experience of this.

I'm think this might be why babyboo isn't staying latched on and why her latch is shallow.

Jamantha · 12/07/2007 21:40

Yay for foxy!!

Congratulations Annobal and welcome to charlie.

Finally Foxy! Looking forward to hearing about it. Be happy.

daisy - that time between school and bed is indeed murder. I cope by visiting GPs after tea (not an option for most people I know but my parents live so close) and leaving bedtime fairly late so they are tired enough to go to sleep without too much warfare. It doesn't always work! I am currently the bitch-mother-from-hell with the big boys. Hope it will pass before the holidays.

Will be back tomorrow to catch up on news from the fox-set and to update on ria-life.

UPDATE FROM FOXY
lovely baby EVE ROSE weighed in at 9lbs 11oz.

loonylovegood · 12/07/2007 22:22

Just had a pic of baby eve attached to foxy's nork! She is very beautiful (the baby that is, not foxy's nork, though that was quite nice too!). Congrats x100000000 for you foxy!! Well done, as they say, last, but by no means least! xxxxxxx

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/07/2007 22:29

Lol holly....ask her where's my photo

Did you see my post about tongue tie....how did you suspect will had tongue tie? babyboo's feeding is getting progressively worse and she's clucking and coming off all the time now, norks are getting sore. someone on here said that classic sign is a tongue that looks like the top of a heart or a W and hers does. read that its the up and down movement of the tongue as well as the in out movement, but am struggling to tell whether her range of movement is normal or not. Derlor, any advice from you on this?

Lilkel....how's DD...did you see the paediatrician yet?

loonylovegood · 12/07/2007 22:35

Hey daisy, hope you are ok. I've just skimmed through the past couple of days and you don't seem to be having a good time. Are you feeling better now? With william's tongue tie I noticed that when he cried I could see the stringy bit underneath his tongue was right at the tip, so he couldn't stick his tongue out properly. The bfing counsellor confirmed it and snipped it straight away. Get your bfing counsellor or hv to check it out asap coz it was giving me sore boobs from hell, but all is fine now. xxx

loonylovegood · 12/07/2007 22:40

I'm gonna have to go to bed now, bloody knackered! Love you daisy, phone the bfing counsellor tomorrow xxx

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/07/2007 22:44

cheers m'dear...feeling much better thanks, but DS being a little monster and it is very very wearing.

bumperlicious · 12/07/2007 22:56

Yay Foxy!!!! Gosh I'm so happy for you! Whooo hooo!

charlie999 · 13/07/2007 08:33

Oh Trace - I'm sending {{{{hugs}}}} for you and your family - I cannot begin to imagine how worrying this is for you. Your DD is in the right place though and being looked after.

Congratulations to Foxy - 9.11 - wow!

daisyandbabybootoo · 13/07/2007 08:40

Trace, thanks very much hun....I'm feeling much better now that DH is home again.

..so so sorry that you are going through all this with Chloe. Thinking about all of you and fingers crossed for Chloe that they figure out what's going on with her quickly so they can start treating her. I can't imagine how distressing it must be for you and your family. Big {{{{{hugs}}}}}

How ya doing Foxy....cheered up then?

Congratulations again.

Had a very unsettled night with babyboo last night. Every time she was put down she was writhing and growling in discomfort. DH and I took shifts with her, so not much sleep was had in the Boo household last night

Figured out this morning what might be causing it....had a bar of galaxy yesterday . Foxy, I bow to your superior kowledge in these things, and swear off chocolate for the duration of BF.

....only kidding!!

lilKelBel · 13/07/2007 09:13

Trace what you are going through sounds like hell. I remember when we were in SCBU with my DS (now 16mo) and us just sitting there feeling so helpless. Maybe you can ask the hospital if their SCBU runs a support group? I know mine did - just the parents of all the wee babies there got to get together and chat for a bit. We lucky people with healthy babies just can't offer the same kind of support...

My DD has been to the paediatrician and we got some meds for her constipation and reflux. I know it can take a while to work but she's still in an awful lot of distress whenever she wants to move her bowels and I'm running out of patience! I really wonder if it's not the formula...but we have to wait to see if these meds work first. PAH. I hate waiting. Especially when she cries so much (we get no sleep either).

Jamantha · 13/07/2007 09:24

Sorry this is happening to you and your dd, trace. We chickened out when DD was in scbu and went away while they "hooked her up", as thought it would be too traumatic to watch - sounds like you're being much braver.

andiem · 13/07/2007 09:52
