i hate how you go to a resturant here and buy a bottle of wine for £15 that you can get at Tesco for £5
wish we had BYOB here.

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:24

Daisy - tell him MN is the ONLY thing that keeps you sane (well a bit sane anyway!)

daisyandbabybootoo · 08/07/2007 20:26

my mad ozzie mate was always banging on about how much bigger better cheaper hotter sunnier etc Oz is.

I told her once after listening to this all night that if it was that much better why didn't she just bugger off back there then...

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:28

ROFL holly,
yeah, a LOT of Australians do come and live here

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:28

oops Daisy, sorry

trendaverter · 08/07/2007 20:29

I lived in Aus for 4 years...DH is Australian...if it were that great (IMHO) We'd still be living there.

Daisy tell your DH you NEED MN. I bloody do, it keeps me sane. Then knock his block off.

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:29

my beautiful DD2 has started smiling at us it's well cute

daisyandbabybootoo · 08/07/2007 20:30

well he'll be off in the morning and what the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve over

and i need my virtual HV and BF counsellors...i would've cracked by now if I'd had to rely on the RL ones here!!

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:30

TA, keep meaning to ask, how is DS's nappy rash now?

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 08/07/2007 20:31

It's better over here, unless you want to buy a house or get a sun tan!

Tell DH to piss off daisy! MN is neccessary for sanity and general wellbeing!

trendaverter · 08/07/2007 20:31

All gone!
Changing nappy 14,000 times a day and liberal use of sudocreme does the job right nice.
Got your email btw - thank you - will respond tomorrow, too tired tonight to string coherent thoughts together and DS is whinging so can't get much time to myself!

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:32

here here Daisy - my HV has buggered off on holiday for 3 weeks - cheeky cow!!!
plus she's gone to New York so i am well

trendaverter · 08/07/2007 20:32

Actually I'm off to bed. Very tired, had visitors all day. Goodnight all xx

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:34

Night TA - hope you get lots of sleep x

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 08/07/2007 20:35

Night TA, sleep well! I might go in a bit, we've had the boys, so I'm knackered and all worked up in my head!

derlor · 08/07/2007 20:36

right i'm off too DH just arriving home from work so must go and spend some quality time with him x

daisyandbabybootoo · 08/07/2007 20:37

do HVs have HVs? isn't that like taking coals to newcastle?

and given the general feeling towards HVs on here....do you think yours talks bollox as well? and do you disagree with her if she says something daft or just quietly seethe like the rest of us?

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 08/07/2007 20:39

My hv is a mad old woman, so I don't take much heed of her advice! My old ones were horrible and talked bollocks. My dd was big and they kept telling me how fat she was and how I should feed her less! Big pile of shit, she is quite ickle now and I have never rationed her food!

daisyandbabybootoo · 08/07/2007 20:40

how did it go holly....are they impressed by their new baby bro? and how are the sleeping arrangements post Will?

i'm off too, having a very very early night.

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 08/07/2007 20:43

It was ok, the eldest didn't come, which was nice, but we had a wet bed (ewwww) which I was cross about as already have a pile of washing about 50 feet high. Sleeping arrangements are normal atm, but will be changed once William is in his own room. Their stupid bitch mother can go stick her head up her arse!

foxybrown · 08/07/2007 20:43

Thanks everyone. I have a scan tomorrow to check fuction of placenta - but I don't think they'll induce for another week all being well. Baby in good birthing position. Am hopeful it will start tonight, exactly as Emily did.

Derlor - how lovely she's smiling! Clever girl!

Daisy, you must be exhausted after your busy weekend and all. Sounds like it could have been very hard work though!

Hope everyone is OK and not too tired today! xx

riabutterflew · 08/07/2007 22:07

Have just noticed that tip of the day re planning your kids around sock sizes. Did anyone do that then? There would still always be one left!

Dodgy BF programme just come on the telly - nearly 8? FREAKY. (Bless the man they just interviewed though, "paedofiddlier"? that should be the proper word!)

DH not handed notice in but made the mistake of telling me then cut his wages again for the 2nd week of his PL despite him having worked on 4 days of it. Have just done him a new letter, he is ringing the agency tomorrow and leaving next Saturday so we can have a Sunday together. I have ways of getting my own way. He might be a doormat bu they will not f* me about. I have PND tendencies, I must be kept calm...

riabutterflew · 08/07/2007 22:08

Good luck for tomorrow foxy.x

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 09/07/2007 01:29
