Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxybrown · 07/07/2007 13:10

Hi Weddingcake - I went to the British School of Oesteopathy in Southwark, who were very good and did a lot of work with babies. It might be too early days to trek that far though! I'm in SW London too, if I come up with anything, I'll be sure to let you know.

foxybrown · 07/07/2007 13:13

Yea for your DH Ria! Take control and don't let the bastards take the piss. If they know he's serious they may well think about what they have to lose - you never know, they might make him an offer he can't refuse .... good luck to you both.

Good for you Lilkel, am so glad to hear you are in better spirits today.

weddingcake · 07/07/2007 14:12

Thanks foxy brown...would ideally like something closer as getting organised and out of the house isn't our strong point right now but at 4am this morning would happily have trekked to the moon for some help.

Off to my mother's for the night - was hoping she'd help but she's just gone out to buy some ear plugs because SHE'S a bit tired this week!!!!!

Cakehead · 07/07/2007 14:20

Hello ladies, can I join you? Like a few others, I was on the 'due in July' thread but had DD on 25th June, so this thread is interesting for me too!

And BadZelda - it's my birthday today too! All power to the 7s!

Weddingcake, have been recommended a good cranial osteopath in Ashtead, Surrey, but probably too far for you...

foxybrown · 07/07/2007 15:26

blardy queue jumpers.....

just kidding, I'M a gatecrasher here!!!

bumperlicious · 07/07/2007 16:08

Hi weddingcake and cakehead. Join the windy baby club! We are all trying various things with varying success.

We saw the osteopath yesterday so hoping that will have helped, but others haven't found that it has. We've bought some detinox colic relief to have on standby. Cannot have another few days like the past few. When she has wind the only way she will sleep is in someone's arms. Don't mind as feel so bad for her when she is in pain but means we can't sleep or get anything done!

I was panicking coz DD hadn't pooed in 24hours (normally every feed) and she was dreadfully uncomfortable, but she has a poo now, a surprisingly small one considering, and she has been more settled in the past couple of hours. We had a very easy trip around sainsbury's.

Ria, what's your DH's plan if he does hand his notice in?

Well it's all quiet here in derlor land...DS and DD1 are away on holiday with grandparents for A WEEK i'll miss them loads but MY HOUSE IS TIDY!!!!

Why was it not this easy when i only had DS???

derlor · 07/07/2007 17:29

WHO WAS IT THAT USED TO FEEL "CLICKY" SENSATIONS WHILST PG?????
(oops sorry for caps)

lilKelBel · 07/07/2007 18:33

hello new cake peeps!

i can recommend Maris osteo clinic in Twickenham if that helps?

foxybrown · 07/07/2007 18:43

Hi Derlor! was gonna text u, sorry - typng 1 handed as dd insisting on clingin 2 rite arn - are u ok? of course u r! A WHOLE WEEK!! What a treat! (am sure your children are lovely, but a week without them )!!!!

have you seen that thread about things said during labour? Have you contributed your 'well, that was a piece of piss!'. Its hilarious anyway!

no sign of my lo budging, nested to the point of cleaning out my handbag. Its madness.

derlor · 07/07/2007 19:41

OK DD2 all tucked up in bed and i've had my tea so now i'm just chilling with a glass of wine
Hi Foxy(((waves))) i've not seen that thread re labour comments, can't find it, can you link it?
Hi to cakehead and weddingcake - are you 2 related??

riabutterflew · 07/07/2007 20:41

Hi. It was me that had clicking, but have no idea why and had no problems, so can't shed any light on it. Sorry.

Can I add my "amusing" thing said in labour to this thread please? I had taken the TENS off but decided it hurt (never?) so DH asked if I wanted it back on and I said "no, I can't be doing with twiddling knobs just now". The MW was PHSL - why?

Welcome to the cake ladies - when I decide to diet seriously I will have to call you ryvita!

bumper, DH is giving enough notice to take him up to his operation (with a few days off for family time before it) then he will have six weeks to find a new job, and if he doesn't it will be temping contracts. Not ideal but we've been there before and they do pay well. Of course, he hasn't done it yet and may get chucked out on his ear when he does, then we'll quickly have to come up with plan B before my mum gets back from her hols!

Am having "me time" as DS1 & 2 were being so evil to each other I put them to bed early. pootle is asleep so its curry, wine & Jilly Cooper. Almost bliss.

foxybrown · 07/07/2007 20:59

Here you go Derlor - had me in stitches! labour talk

BTW, my boys are still up and being naughty!

Ria, sounds like you've a plan to get you through. Good luck with it, sounds like it needed to happen. Remember we will give you big, virtual, moral support if you need it!

foxybrown · 07/07/2007 21:31

foxybrown · 08/07/2007 10:45
