Just reading up on periods returning after childbirth and apparently they will be all over the place with no particular pattern for ages and ages. Err thats great, thanks.

Pinions · 05/07/2007 16:19

GMM no it was only temping work in admin. Enough to put me off though! Have been trying to think and it was Wortley area, on a main road, perhaps Wortley ring road?? It was kind of in the middle on nowhere. God vague or what.

Anyway am really feeling my can't-be-arsed-itus now and can't afford to cos have tea to make for 3 people, bath for two kids to do, tidying up to do, and a screaming 3 yr old to contend with. And DP off to football, great.

Oh to be 18 again.....

(Hi ellie!).

Offskeeees for now, back never cos am not allowed on pc at night for now. .

Kneehighinnappies · 05/07/2007 16:38

geordiemacminx · 05/07/2007 17:02

anewme · 05/07/2007 17:16

Hi all,
Been to camelot today with 111 kids and it pissed down all day, most of the rides were closed and the coach missing until 3.30. Not the best day ever.
Spend most of it telling kids to stop hitting eachother with blow up hammers and confiscating fake fags.
(Note to NHS: the campaign isn't working!)
Having said that, there was a dashing young man on a horse in the jousing show (that was undercover) so it wasn't all bad.

JoMa · 05/07/2007 17:17

hi anewme
i went to visit the place i used to work today, they have a cute new security man!

Hi Everyone! YES i do get can´t-be-arsedness but normally as soon as I feel it creeping in (um..every morning) I try to force myself off my bum (and away from MN) and get doing something. Even just getting showered or going for a long walk with ds normally kick starts my day and even if I do little else after that, I feel like I´ve done something. Today I´ve been super productive and have vacuumed, mopped, dusted AND put a first coat of varnish on two little side tables we have! Yay! Totally justifies my not having acheived anything the rest of the week til now

GMM - my dh is like your dp, don´t think he´d care if I didn´t do anything all day as he sees me looking after N as the ´thing´ I am doing (quite right!) but I do feel like I should, I do, after all have time to so...

Think he might be a biiiiit peed off though as I did the tables in the kitchen and now the house stinks of varnish. Ooops. He did say to do them on the roof terrace but I can´t if N is sleeping downstairs as the monitors don´t seem to work up there, must be too much concrete or something. Ho hum..

Have also got a couple of directors chairs and a little table that live on the terrace and are looking a bit worse for wear after being outside all last summer so I´ve bought some oil and at some point tomorrow will get started on that... projects, projects

anewme · 05/07/2007 17:23

Oh nice, did you chat to him? Maybe you should visit more often!!!

maveta · 05/07/2007 17:23

Oh, I forgot to say HI anewme! I did see your posts yesterday but forgot.. I am SO. RUDE.

anewme · 05/07/2007 17:26

well done maveta, i think you've achieved a lot today, take tomorrow off! Just tell your DH it rained. can't do anything in the garden when it rains.

JoMa · 05/07/2007 17:41

maveta, can you not just check on N once in a while?

I might just have to do that anewme

OP posts:
maveta · 05/07/2007 17:45

anewme - I don´t think he´d believe me if I said it had rained...

JoMa, oh I´ve already done it.. I´ve moved them upstairs now so the smell should go soon hopefully and when I do them tomorrow I´ll do them up there.. maybe..

maveta · 05/07/2007 17:48

Oh yes, OMG I forgot to say.. don´t know if you saw on your news (my sis said she did) but as of 3rd July all parents receive 2500 Euros (1600 quid) for every new baby!!! It is NOT retroactive but hey, great news.. will certainly make life easier when we do decide to have the next one (if the law still stands that far in the future )

CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children?s cancer and leukaemia charity, are holding 12 PJ5K sponsored walks around the UK, during Septembers Yummy Mummy Week.

One of these is being held at Birmingham?s Cannon Hill Park and involves a fun family day out and a 1km toddle, or 5km walk

We need you!!! I'm hoping for a band of local mums to come forward and help promote this event to other mums-simple. We've got gorgeous promotional materials in the forms of posters and flyers and you could be as involved in the event as you'd like and i hope enjoy the feeling that you've helped to make the PJ5K a resounding success and in turn help lots of local families who hear the news their child has cancer or leukaemia.

If you would like to help, please get in touch either by phone on 01564 797 574, or by e mail
[email protected]

Thanks so much in advance. You can really help to make a difference.
Emily x
