Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/06/2007 15:53

Are you moving to Portugal before Oct Lupins..if so feel free to pop round the Mac villa when we are there..it would be a sort of meet up continental stylee!

scootermum · 27/06/2007 15:56

get off Mrs JB..They are for me..take pity on the sick..

cameroonmama · 27/06/2007 15:56

scootermum · 27/06/2007 16:08

cameroonmama · 27/06/2007 16:11

take pity on me scoot, dh has gone off on another spy mission, this afternoon, for 2 weeks

LWandLottie · 27/06/2007 16:20

Enough talk of the yumminess that is jaffa cakes, my dieting doesn't allow them.

LWandLottie · 27/06/2007 16:21

Cam sorry to hear that you got affected by the flooding, I hope the damage isn't too bad.

cameroonmama · 27/06/2007 16:30

Thanks LW, actually it wasn't the flooding, it was our shower that leaked the insurance man came today and said the quote we had got from our builder to fix it all was a total rip off

Its good to hear you sounding happier, don't feel guilty about not ffeeding lottie sooner, noone tells you how difficult bf is but you have done it for those all important first weeks and you should congratulate yourself for that, and please, no more talk of trying to get into size 8s either, I am that you are already in size 10s.

scootermum · 27/06/2007 16:31

Alright you can have one then..fair do's its not easy being the wife of a 00..

I really am bored-have just been on the OC website and bought a T shirt....think it might be a bit unseemly for a 27 yr old Mum of two to be so obsessed with an American Teen drama to this extent but I care not..

scootermum · 27/06/2007 16:33

Ill second that..am stalled at size 12/14 and dont think I will be seeing a 10 again any time soon..
I need some thin-spiration..Maybe Ryan from the OC...

UNSEEMLY Scoot..you have two kids!!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/06/2007 16:44

I surely have the rights to the jaffa's with my name?

LW, We have been through the same probs with the feeding with Jorja, you may have read some of my posts over the last few weeks. We have been mix feeding for just over 2 weeks now and it is brilliant. Jorja has NO problem going from breast to bottle. I feed her as much as I can, always morning and night and normally twice through the day. The day feeds she often needs a bottle after to fill her up though. It works really well for us, it's taken me a while to get over how gutted I was that she couldn't latch well but she is such a different easy baby now. Good Luck, I'm sure you will find things a little easier.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/06/2007 16:47

WEIGHT, AGHHHHHHHHHH.......

I swore i'd have lost a stone by now. i think I've gained 3lbs instead. I didn't expect to feel the way I did after Jorja's birth. I'm just begining to think about starting now though.

scootermum · 27/06/2007 16:49

Im a comfort eater so its all gone badly wrong here..when Im better its Slimming World or bust!

LWandLottie · 27/06/2007 16:56

Oh sorry Cam, saw a post you had written about damages done to your house and I think there had been talk of flooding by others. Just put the two together and thought you had been affeted! Must read things properly! Sucks about the damage the showers done though, sorry for you.

Mrsjb, Lottie seems much happier. She's not had problems going from tit to teat either. That kid could suction the carpet up with her sucking power! Glad Jorja's happier with you combining too.

Befsnork · 27/06/2007 16:58

personally i'm embracing being a larger person

seriously, i got really upset about not losing any more after the first 12 kilos (I put on a whopping 24 kilos due to the pre-eclampsia) and started to reduce calories and fat. result was L was crying more and hungry. stopped that one fast and am now going to try the exercise route instead!

aprilmeadow · 27/06/2007 17:06

i heard jaffa cakes being mentioned........ any chance that there are any left??

aprilmeadow · 27/06/2007 17:22

I still have about 11lbs to lose to get back to pre-jack weight, i got stuck at 10st for weeks and have now lost 3lbs in just over a week. I try and walk to get J from nursery (weather permitting) every day and have even done the 45min walk into town a few times. Not really sticking to the weetabix diet as am easily tempted by sweets and chocolate!

LW, am pleased that you have found a solution that suits both you and Lottie, it can be really hard to make the decision to ff rather than bf. I remember fibbing to the hv when i had Jack and told her that i was still bf as i didnt want to have the 'breast is best' lecture! It makes all the difference in the world to have a contented baby rather than one that is permenantly attached and draining you of all your energy. and size 8

Hey MrsJB, how you doing?
Scoot, sorry to hear that you are still feeling poorly
Lups, cant believe you are off to Portugal - do they do KK's out there?
Cam, ceiling looks good! and no the garden is progressing very fast. The guy that is doing it only comes at the weekend so when it pisses down it really messes our plans up!

OMG i have the biggest pile of clothes waiting to be ironed its going to take me days

OOH, i am pleased to say the my Maternity Leave has offically started!! My new replacement started on Monday and i have been in training her yesterday and today. I have passed as much info over as i can and am not going back to do any more work. The only time i expect to go in is to take Ella for visits

juliewoolie · 27/06/2007 17:27

oohh Jaffa cakes my all time fave - must resist just keep thinking muffin top must go

aprilmeadow · 27/06/2007 17:34

dont mention muffin tops!! Its defiantely not my favourite all time look! Just as you start jumping up and down because you can get back in your regular clothes you notice the nasty roll of flab that is clearly visable under any top you wear! I even tried magic pants but they just pushed the muffin higher!

aprilmeadow · 27/06/2007 17:35

definately not defiantely

Lupins71 · 27/06/2007 17:51

Scoot thanks for that, just seen her prices underneath

Passing jaffas round to all

AM you might need to be sending me parcels of KK's out there lol!! you havent seen my ironing pile so much for doing it daily lol

jaffas are the best sweet thing bad thing to have if you want to loose weight as they are quite low fat - that is from a dietition got told it when i had to have hardly any fat in my diet

InTheseShoes · 27/06/2007 18:50

Hello All

I'm definitely in the "when will I ever get into my jeans" club - like you BB, I think it's the breastfeeding - I can't stop eating, so the only thing I can do is try to eat copious amounts of health (ier) food - stop mainlining jaffa cake bars (there's a May 07 theme developing here) and replace with a scone/flapjack. The trouble with too much fruit/veg is that it gives Ted horrendous wind - not the burp type, but huge trumps. He is the trumpiest baby in the world, he does trumps that are (no exaggeration) like the ones that woman does on Catherine Tate - true! I made a lovely paneer and veg casseroley thing on Monday, not a curry, I barely spiced it, and Ted has dreadful wind all Tuesday, it made him quite agitated. Salad seems ok and small amounts of berries/bananas, but I'm really having to be careful! So, I've ordered some bigger jeans from La Redoute today (only £9) - and not a 10 when I should be an 8 LWatkins! More like double it! I'm consoling myself with the thought that it's the width of my pelvis and the bf weight, and have been for a huge yomp with the pram this afternoon, as an additional tactic. Apparently I look like I've lost all the weight, so I suppose that's something!

Very jealous of all the Portugal talk!

LW - you do what is best for you and Lottie as a family, and don't beat yourself up, motherhood is a big stick for self-flagellation, you are doing a great job. Utilise that flagellation stick on whoever it is who is giving you a hard time about size 8 jeans - FFS, you only just had a baby!!!!!

DH is away with work tonight, so it's my first time all alone with both boys. I've done a solo bedtime already as he was late (9pm) on Monday, but I'm finding the prospect of a whole night and tomorrow morning alone quite daunting. Again, I did Monday school run alone, but not after a solo evening and night. Luckily DS1 is more or less back to his normal self now, so is being very good and helpful, fingers crossed.

Love to all and all this babies!

By the way, Ted is here - it's taken me a while to get some up, and I can't do anything fancy with a profile, but at least there's something to see!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/06/2007 19:17

He is gorgeous ITS, loving the visitor sticker on A.

hi AM, I'm good thanks. Cocyx still really painful, I'm going to have to seek some medical advice now I think. Hope you are all well.

Pebblemum · 27/06/2007 20:59

LW ive had to mix feed all of mine, i never seem to have enough milk to satisfy them no matter what i do. I thought things were going to be different with Alana because things were going so well at first but then she started making a fuss after her feeds and not settling. My boobs were sore from constant feeding so one day i offered her a top up and we havent looked back. She still has breast milk first but then gets offered a bottle in case she is still hungry which she normally is. I told my HV i was mixing and she didnt say anything not that id have listened if she did. Alana is gaining weight, shes happy and alert etc so Im happy with my decision. I must admit at first i felt bad for not being able to satisfy her without resorting to formula but life is so much better now i know it was the right decision.

I have 1 stone to lose to get back to my pre-Alana weight, 2 stone to get to a weight i would be happy with and 3 to get back to my pre-children weight (i can dream lol) I have 3months until my holiday so my goal is to look good in a bikini by then ie no jelly belly/muffin top. My diet has to start tomorrow though because dh bought me a lovely strawberry, cream and custard tart for supper
