I have no doubt that I will be horribly engorged by this evening, Jodie!!

theUrbanDryad · 05/07/2007 14:14

a warm bath should help with the engorgement! don't be tempted to express it out (unless you want to up the supply) because obviously your body will just replace it!

2Happy · 05/07/2007 14:15

Hey maybe I could express all day and get enough milk to last the CM a month

theUrbanDryad · 05/07/2007 14:33

you could, but be prepared for really painful boobs tomorrow!

2Happy · 05/07/2007 15:08

Maybe then I could start an export business to America

Shimmer · 05/07/2007 15:25

Happy half-birthday Zac! Freddie's is on Sunday.

So Freddie will happily scoff a load of mashed frozen mixed veg (which i actually thought loooked, and smelt gross!)but turns his nose up at my lovingly prepared tomato & cauliflower gratin. Whats with that??

theUrbanDryad · 05/07/2007 15:27

Zac just snaffled some of my pasta and pesto lunch but wouldn't eat his. he's just doen the smelliest poo ever though. it can't have gone through so quick can it??

laughalot · 05/07/2007 16:12

Hello everyone hope your all ok happy half year birthday to z. Well I was at school for aidans last nursery visit today before he starts full time in september my baby is growing up. I am tired iv been doing our hedge outside its took me 3 hours we live on a corner house and the hedge is MASSIVE. eandh · 05/07/2007 18:04

Its Hatties 1/2 year birthday today as well (think it is nemo's little one as well!)

It has felt a long long afternoon Ellie tired but kept her awake and Hattie has decided that standing upriht or being helo upright is the only way she wants to be, if I sit her up or lay her down she screams and screams so gave in and got the baby walker out and she loves standing up in it although have just been letting her half shorts bursts of 5-10minutes.

LAL sound like you have had a very busy afternoon.

We all need to wish good weather down south for tomorrow as its Ellies 1st sports day (and can we have lots of positive thoughts for white team please!!)

MrsCarrot · 05/07/2007 21:36

Our sports day was cancelled today, the field was too wet

Happy half birthdays!

Quiet this evening...

LadyTophamHatt · 05/07/2007 21:45

MrsCarrot · 05/07/2007 21:55

you also can't go wrong with a beautiful blanket

MrsCarrot · 05/07/2007 21:55

Lo has a cornflower blue woollen one it's really cosy

trixymalixy · 05/07/2007 22:40

Shimmer/Rge - my day did improve. My Mum and Gran came round with some flowers and scones for me.

Had a bit of a washout of a day as turned up at my parenting class to find out it had been cancelled and they hadn't managed to get in touch with me to tell me as I was on holiday. Then DS had his 3rd lot of jags poor mite. Was supposed to go round and see a friends afte that but she phoned to say her DS has chickenpox so we couldn't go.

Mrs C - Ds has had a sook of some melon and a plum, didn't really count that as starting weaning though .

Wilkie - Bleugh at toe jam. You were always Wilkie to me anyway!

Happy half year birthdays Z and H!!

RGee · 06/07/2007 07:17

Morning!
Got up before everyone else as I feel v awake this morning. DH is fast asleep, and lo chuntered at 6.30 but is now asleep again. So here I am with a cuppa trying to catch up, but gave up and thought I'd better say hello instead!

Anyone any plans for the weekend?
Last day of Dh's holiday and he's off on a golfing weekend with his dad, so I'm off to mil's for the weekend. They've been on holiday abroad for a fortnight so haven't seen lo for a few weeks. Hope they'll be mightily impressed with her repertoire of new tricks including sitting up, having teeth, eating food, and shrieking

LTH - my dsis gave me a gorgeous music box similar to this
2H - are your boobs ok today?
EaH - your sofa looks lovely! Am very . I have some wicker baskets like that in lo's room and love them.
Hope you had a lovely anniversary. It's our 4th in a fortnight!
Wilkie / Vino - am defo up for meet up . Has to be before the start of August though. Email some suggested dates and venues and I'll get the diary out!

Hello to everyone else .
I'll be away until Monday so have a good weekend.

JodieG1 · 06/07/2007 07:47

eah - good luck for Ellie and hoping White team does well! Cailtin had her first one this week and her team (yellow) drew first place with another one

Mrsc - sorry to hear about the sports day

UD - Did he like the pasta with pesto?

LTH - A nice blanket would be good I think or a baby book maybe?

Rgee - summer faire at the school tonight so we're going to that but dh's work also has a summer party with bbq and bouncy castle for the kids
both start at 5.30 so not sure what to do yet. If the weather stays nice we'll go to the park and feed fucks tomorrow I think, get some fresh air.
Have a good weekend away.

Morning all, not too bad a night here Waiting for shopping to be delivered from 9-11 today so hopefully earlier than later.

Wilkie · 06/07/2007 07:55

Morning. Am on here with matchsticks propping my eyelids open cos J decided that 2am-4.30am is an excellent time for wide awake shouting and crying-ness.

However, he has made up for that by crawling (almost). Very excited. Took him to clinic yesterday and he weighs 17lb6oz - bang on the 50th centile.

One Pot Chicken went down a storm yesterday so am popping to Asda today for some fish to make another culinary delight....

LTH - best pressie I got was some beautiful ABC, 123 plaster letters (Winnie the poo). And a gorgeous Beatrix Potter money box.

LAL - get DH to do the hedge you crazy lady

MrsC - about sports day

EAH - thinking white all day today for Ellie. Hope the weather is good.

RGee/Vino - Getting to Leeds is a bit scary for me so can meet up either be in Epworth (again) or Lincoln?? ( sorry - I know I am a complete and utter wimp). Wish I had TomTom - would you believe I drove to Southampton and back on my own (4 hrs each way) because I had sat nav through work. Without it I am shite

Anyway, am off to persuade J that an early morning sleep is the best way forward so that mummy can curl up next to him on our bed and have 40 winks too.......

Wilkie · 06/07/2007 07:56

Jodie - x Posts. Absolutely PMSL ROFL at 'Feeding the fucks'....did you mean ducks

JodieG1 · 06/07/2007 08:01

Oh no I meant ducks!! That'll teach me not to preview before posting lol. Morning

JodieG1 · 06/07/2007 08:05

And well done J nearly crawling, sounds like Ethan.

MrsCarrot · 06/07/2007 08:14

Morning- Wilkie, I'm shattered too, the wind was howling and banging the back door so I got up in the night and just stood in the garden for a bit, very strange light, then I couldn't get back to sleep.

Jodie - Do fucks like bread then?

Trixy - No, I hadn't really thought of it as starting weaning, more of a pre-wean, though judging by the nappy this morning he's getting some, very odd colour and a solidity that you don't get with just breastmilk. Sorry TMI...

I was quite pleased not to have to run the mum's race at the sports day, didn't fancy getting black eyes with my G cups!

Ds1 has a hawaian theme day today and it's Dd's fete so baking loads of butterfly buns.

Hello everyone else

eandh · 06/07/2007 08:24

right have stopped panicking - decided last night that I could get everything done this morning for sports day and its all gone wrong so ellie is wearing canvas shoes (trainers dont fit anymorE) she has right colour tshirt have bribed her to let me put her hair up, hattie pooing for england but i snw asleep with breakfast all round her face.

Going to go to Morrisons to buy lunch stop at my mums to pick up picninc blanket so Hattie has somewhere to sit and then pick brothers g/f and ds up then head to sports day.

Its cloudy and windy but not raining (sun did pop out earlier for a bit!) and I have learnt that I should never ever leave everything to the morning!!

theUrbanDryad · 06/07/2007 09:06

morning all - well i am i a foul mood, went to my friend's house last night. he lives in my old flat (which i loved) but there wasn't anywhere to park, so i stuck the car just on the double yellows. there were loads of other people on the yellows, some more than me, some double parked and i figured i wouldn't be long. so anyway, i came out and yep you guessed it, i got a ticket. no other fucker did though! so that's £30 down the drain, expensive night out considering i only popped round for a cup of tea and a chat.

so now i'm really bored, i want to go and do something fun. i've got really itchy feet, want to go somewhere (i get like this every noe and then) Wilkie - i was actually looking up the train journey to Lincoln, but it's a major faff. i was thinking about taking Z to London, but i don't know anyone in London anymore and it's such a long way to go just to come back again. anyone any suggestions? Northampton's such a pig to get anywhere from on the train

JodieG1 · 06/07/2007 09:21

UD - You could go to a zoo, do you have any near you? Failing that there's always London zoo. We have a few near us. Go for a nice long walk? Make the most of the sunshine! If it's sunny there, it is here.
