MrsGP - what's coving?

eandh · 02/07/2007 15:51

just a quick post as sneaked on here as boss left to go to parents evening - all going well had a lovely day. They bought a huge chocolate cake to welcome me back and I have been in tidying heaven as lots of filing/organising left for me to do.

LTH - I left my Mum strict instructions NOT to give ellie any juice with aspartine in and she has been giving her water (she does drink it some of the time and quite likes it) and some fresh cranberry juice diluted and she said she has been really good today so maybe that was the answer, we will continue tomorrow and see if it cointinues.

Right better go will try and log onto tonight (eeek got to leave here, pick e and h up, get home get them to bed and cook dinner for us!!) Thankfully mum is feedign and bathing e and h

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 16:48

Pissed me off, Lth? Of course not..

nope, I was noting (with amusement in fact) that my post sounded a wee bit judgemental and I hadn't meant it too. I have to watch myself coming over all pious on here, the emoticons don't always cover 'said in jest' well, maybe the wink might.

Lizzzombie · 02/07/2007 17:03

hah. I just tried to feed DJ pureed carrot (batch number 2 as I burnt batch number 1 & nearly set fire to the saucepan!)
I may aswell have been feeding him lemons. His face was a picture. May leave that for a while longer and continue with the baby rice and milk only. Nice!

LadyTophamHatt · 02/07/2007 17:10

Cool MrsC, I checked mine to see if I'd sounded tetchy too .

I couldn't work out if I did or not...

Ds2 was up loads in the night being sick so I might not have engaged brain before fingers.....the longest stretch of sleep I got was between 2:35am and 4:18am, I was woken roughly every 35 minutes to mop brows and empty sick buckets from 11pm onwards....
As you can imagine I look like a great big steaming pile of poo today.

MrsGolfPro · 02/07/2007 17:26

Glad there is love in the room laydeez....

UD - coving is the plaster cornicing that goes at the top of the wall between the wall and the ceiling. Our house didn't have any and I like it. BTW, you are a beauty leaving such a pleasant message on my facebook wall....PMSL.

EAH - wondered if you could manage it and you couldn't - mwah mwah mwah (evil laugh), you are truly MN addicted.....!!!!!!

smallone · 02/07/2007 18:12

Hi, keep getting on here and then only having time to read before I have to dash off again, so I thought I'd say hi first and then go off and catch up!

ps dd has two teeth!

LadyTophamHatt · 02/07/2007 18:20

What is facebook?

I keep getting invites from people in my email address book and RL friends....

do I have to start another addiction?

MrsGolfPro · 02/07/2007 18:55

LTH - it is brilliant but oooooooooh so addictive. DH not impressed

JodieG1 · 02/07/2007 19:02

Mine drink water mostly and pure juice now and again. Rarely fizzy drinks. They eat different veggies too and like fruit. I do cook a lot though and from scratch every day. Now my oven has bene fixed, hooray, I can also bake Going to bake some cakes tomorrow.

Had a shit morning, posted a thread on chat earlier. Discovered this morning that dd had nits checked ds1, him too and then found poor Ethan had them also So combed through all hair, treated dd and ds1, combed through again, washed and then re-checked so they are all clean now. Poor Ethan though, we had to cut his hair I nearly cried as it was all lovely and long as in profile. Will get some new pics tomorrow so you can see the difference. School don't send letters around either so no doubt she'll pick it up again when she goes back sigh It's so annoying as I keep their hair really clean, I know it doesn't matter but it doesn't seem right lol.

loopyjules · 02/07/2007 20:19

well i had a successful shopping trip today, got my outfit for the hen do, skinny white jeans and a silver top and a belt to go with it, very chuffed, just need shoes and a bag and i'm sorted!

had a bit of a wobble tho, brandon was crying in the shop so i asked my mum to walk him around while i finished up, got out of the shop and they were nowhere to be seen and with this being the first time mum has been to that area of shops i started thinking she had got lost or that something awful had happened....muppet! i was nearly in tears. he was only out of my sight for about 10 mins and then they came strolling round the corner lo happy and sleeping in his pram. who knows how i'm going to cope when i go to this hen do and i'm away from him for 2 days.

mrscarrot - it'll be interesting to see how our lo turns out eating wise as i don't do fruit and dh doesn't do green veg! although even though the sight of fruit turns my stomach i am still giving it too him as i would hate to raise a fussy eater

ud - what happened with your ceiling?

mrsgp - thx for the hen night tip, sounds like a good one, i'll add it to the list! could well be teeth, sounds very similar to how brandon was behaving before he cut his bottom two teeth

lizzzombie - b wasn't to keen on carrot straight after baby rice so i went onto some other veg and came back to the carrot and he liked it then, maybe you could give something else a try, i think parsnip was the first thing he took to after baby rice

lth - sorry to hear about your eventful night, the joys of parenthood!

smallone - grats on the teeth

jodie - nits are my worst nightmare, i am tempted to give brandon a skin head from school age to avoid them!! just thinking of them makes me itch

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 20:19

Oh, it's such a pain isn't it, Jodie, I hate them. Every day Dd's hair is scraped back to try and avoid them, luckily we have since she started school but I'm not sure how long for. So many of the girls just have their hair swaying round.

LTH - are your boys still being sick, poor you, it must be a nasty bug then? I think there is one going round ds school, apparently a boy was sick in assembly the other day. Nice. Three million thousand germs all over the floor. I know I'm cold, um, poor mite

Facebook is a total pita, I keep getting e-mails and if I don't reply people say, I POKED you the other day and you haven't replied. Well, that's because I'm not even sure if I want to be on it. Something very sugary about the whole thing, Myspace mixed with friends reunited. I expect I will secumb (sp?)

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 20:23

Loopyjules- what do you mean you don't 'do' fruit? I am intrigued. Do you mean you don't like any, not even cherries, or nectarines, or raspberries? How can anyone not like raspberries.. can you tell I like fruit

What about smoothies?

loopyjules · 02/07/2007 20:32

i just don't do fruit at all really, although i can drink fruit juice but can't eat the stuff, i don't really know where it comes from. don't like to question my mum on it as she may think i am somehow blaming her for my hatred of it! can't do smoothies they are mostly made with banana and the smell of that makes me wanna hurl, it was hilarious when i gave brandon his first taste of banana and i was doing my best to hide my utter disgust!

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 20:50

I can understand not liking bananas, lots of people don't, it just seems strange to dislike ALL fruit with the wide range of textures and flavours. It sounds more pathological than tastebuds iyswim. I am like that with peas, it's the only veg we had while growing up and now I hate them, purely psychological though as it's only round ones I have a problem with.

MrsGolfPro · 02/07/2007 21:13

I think MrsC has taken this personally Loopy , just as long as you like carrots?????

Here's a big ripe banana for you my lovely

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 21:21

taking it personally, Mrs golfpro, ahem,

I am having a civilised conversation that is all.

My, I do seem to be coming across as mardy today, perhaps it's time for bed...

laughalot · 02/07/2007 21:22

Time out mrs carrott naughty step for you how many minutes ?

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 21:24
Shock
laughalot · 02/07/2007 21:28

MrsGolfPro · 02/07/2007 21:35

You are making me giggle

I'm only joking matey ;)

I am VERY mardy tonight. DOn't know why just am. Feel like I could hit something or someone.....hmmmm DHs head is looking VERY appealing.........

MrsGolfPro · 02/07/2007 21:41
Dragonhart · 02/07/2007 21:41

Right, so how do you find the time for Facebook and MN!? I am addicted so anyone who is not on it, dont join unless you want to loose your entire evening! I blame you Mrsgolf btw.

I now have 13 friends though Had a look at tone of my uni friends and they have 139! Makes me feel like a billy no-mates!

Hope ds is feeling better and about the nits Jodie.

We went to toddler group today and Luke did a wee on his potty there and did not have an accident. Feeling so proud, and also better about taking him to the wedding o saturday without nappies [scared emocicon]

Ruth got given a gorgeous dress for her christening so that problem is solved. Bought loads of clothes for Ruth and Luke in the Mothercare sale. Would def recomend it!

Dragonhart · 02/07/2007 21:59

Ment to say hope ds is feelig better LTH

MrsCarrot · 02/07/2007 21:59

I am trying to avoid that problem, Dragon, if I start being on there regularly there will be even less spare time for, oh, normal things like reading, sorting out, having a bath in peace etc..

I suppose I could have a piece of chocolate, just a small bit mind

Going to bed now.
