This is it! I really like it!!!

There's an age 3-4 top of the one ds2 has from H&M with a Jack Skellington type logo, but I got outbid.
Might have to have a look in h&M, but I really need to not be tempted. Blew the budget by having lunch out today; it was pissing down ,and there was no time to go home before nursery open day, but too wet to even shelter for buttie boxes I'd made

Jas · 05/07/2007 22:05

It is kind of freaky, but I like it, too.

Almost got carried away and bought it, but then noticed the size. It is huge I can't find it small enough.

Frizbe · 05/07/2007 22:08

lol you'll all turn up in the same stuff at this rate righty off to watch Earl, catch ya tomorrow!

Phoenix · 05/07/2007 22:42

So Chloe just me and you for the piss up. What do u wanna do? I don't mind driving if u wanna go together. We can sort it out a week on tuesday.

Why am i so bad at taking myself off to bed when dh is on nights? It was 1am before i went up last night/this morning. I should go to bed now but i've just poured a glass of wine ()

Phoenix · 05/07/2007 22:43

Is anyone even here or am i talking to myself?

Phoenix · 05/07/2007 23:00

Yeah yeah i get it. I'm off to bed now, nighty night

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/07/2007 08:33

Awww, sorry phoenix. DD started screaming so we went up to see her and then went straight to bed.

mustrunmore · 06/07/2007 08:42

Jas, it'd be fine for me Er, you could get it out of your system by buying it for me

Took ds1 till 10pm to go to sleep
Ds2 was in out bed all night

Chloe55 · 06/07/2007 08:58

Morning,

I do not like that thing that is a hoody - if anyone walked down the road towards me in that I would absolutely shit myself!!

Dame - I hope your DS feels better soon. I had Scarlet Fever as a child - that's when we found out I was allergic to penicillin due to the fact that it nearly bloody killed me! (The penicillin, not the scarlet fever)

PG - It's entirely up to you about the driving, I am happy to do it or I could give you money for petrol (do you have AA/RAC cover?) How long do you reckon it would take? I'm happy to leave when you finish work if you can't get the day off. What date is it again?

I think I am raising ds badly - he is having a lot of tantrums, he says no to absolutely anything I tell him to do, if he doesn't want to do something he will just lose control of his legs and fall to the floor, I have to sign the incident book at nursery everyday he is there because he is getting bitten - they tell me it is because he wrestles all the kids to the floor so now he has a sole nursery nurse watching his every move Don't get me wrong, sometimes he is smashing and will be a little saint but he just seems to push me...a lot. Any tips/reassurances?

mustrunmore · 06/07/2007 09:15

Well, that is what dh pointed out, if I was runninng in it in winter !

Dont worry about ds.He's normal. Either that, or my kids are hooligans too Ds1 has grown out of most stuff like you're describing, but ds2 lobs stuff, bites, hits everyone over the head with cars, and dh reckons my nose might be broken after ds2 headbutted me the other day, as I've got partial blackeyes and it hurts!

Phoenix · 06/07/2007 09:55

Chloe - It's on Aug 4th. I don't have AA or RAC cover have you? I think csws said it'd prob take 2-3 hours. I've got a sat nav to get us there.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/07/2007 13:56

Oh Chloe - dd can tantrum with the best of them! I just ignore her most of the time now, as she tends to stop sooner if it's not getting her any attention. I also use distraction, depending on what she's tantrumming about (this was good when it was lack of daytime breastfeeding that was the bone of contention).

Very busy day here. Had 6 friends with toddlers (all within a few weeks of dd) round this morning and for lunch. They left 15 mins ago, and am expecting the next friend with 2 children to turn up any time within next half hour. Am also going out tonight once I've put dd to bed, to meet up with another couple of local MNers.

mustrunmore · 06/07/2007 14:03

Well csws, you're just too popular!

Today I had a friend round (moved, but back for a while to see parents etc); she was the second ever person I met through mumsnet, when ds1 was about 6 mnths old!

Frizbe · 06/07/2007 14:58

CSWS is a social animal hope your having fun though and not wearing yourself out with all this toddler partying!

MRM did you have fun too?

Phoenix/Chloe, seeing as you've got sat nav, you can come and look for me if I'm still driving around aimlessly CSWS you'd better tell us where you live soon

Soo eventful is day here I think? dh off work, as dd1 had preschool eye test this afternoon, and someone has to pick up ds, so I voted it be him, so off he's gone with dd2 this afternoon, whilst I've been to hospital with dd1, who thankfully managed not to scream the place down, when they put the eyedrops in, now looks like she's taken lots of drugs, with her hugely dilated pupils
So I managed gym this am (which alarmingly had cbeebies on tv), and then went into dentist to see if I could get a repeat perscription, and they snuck me in between appts poked around a bit more, said brush you teeth better (the cheek of it, I use a bleeding elecky brush as it is ) and once I finished the anti b's to just take normal painkillers and to go back when its my appt in two weeks so great that they snuck me in, but booo for no more drugs and no filling yet.
Flame may well find me combining wine with nurofen next week then!

Chloe55 · 06/07/2007 15:34

If it's any consolation Friz, my dentist told me that too - despite the fact that I brush my teeth twice a day, sometimes three times, use a leccy toothbrush, floss with those harp things and brush for at least 3mins each time! I hate my teeth though, they are still yellow and stain easily (prob too much coffee, red wine and teh occassional fag though)

Glad I am not alone with the demon child - I knew you guys would tell me it's normal It's just when I see other people's kids play up all the time I always thought 'I'll make sure I don't raise a brat like that' - funny how parenthood changes that view

Flamesparrow · 06/07/2007 15:57

Oooh get you with your popularity CSWS!

Meds n wine is always a good plan Frizbe!! (What is our plan anyway got confused somewhere along the way... are we just afternooning, or are you dropping children to g/p's and then coming back to evening - probably wii knowing men - and wine fun?)

And whilst I'm asking questions...

Have any of you seen my period wandering around? Its a gone awol, and although I'm not worrying as such, I would quite like to know its safe and just gone for a break whilst I've been stressy and its going to come back home now I've calmed down.

Dare you to start an "am I pregnant...?" thread

My washing machine ate one BumGenius and a snow-leopard print Bear Behind this week.

And then died. I was more gutted about the £3 Bear Behind than the £350 washing machine I had to buy...

Flamesparrow · 06/07/2007 16:20

Argh!!!! Eaten nappies is horrible!!

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 06/07/2007 16:39

Yeah your period came visiting over this way and a damn annoying one it is too! He's grumpy, painful and quite frankly needs to find his proper home!

Flamesparrow · 06/07/2007 16:41

Send it back then!

OP posts:
Jas · 06/07/2007 17:22

Whats a Bear Behind?

Pain killers and wine is def a good combo (I'm always mixingdue to permanently bad back) Frizbe. Better than toothache.

My dentist keeps telling me elec toothbrushes are no good and I shouldn't get one

Chloe - agree with the others. he is a normal child. They are all like that, and it is nothing you have done The perfectly bahaved ones are just wierdy flukes like dd1 (I know she is going to get me back for being easy early on by making me suffer later)

damewashalot · 06/07/2007 17:33

I was an easy child, boy boy did I make up for it when I grew up and left home

Ds2 is not acting ill I may kill him if he is at home all of next weel have started a thread on scarlet fever to gather some wisdom

Have a good weekend all!
