if you have samples on the stairs, is the underside of the step still wood? What colous do you have, do they match Joseph's coat?

No rain here, although I did get soaked this afternoon when we went to the park.

Ds has this habit of running up and down the room making up stories, usually Postman Pat or Thomas stories. As he runs he wiggles his hands, apparently 'that's where the ideas come from mummy' but he has now introduced regional accents into them. I cannot help but laugh when I hear him. I think he's weird!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/07/2007 21:03

Here mrm.

Jas · 02/07/2007 21:07

Stair risers are wooden colour. I really like the multicoloured steps. Plus they are well stuck down, so nice and safe.

sleeping boy. DDs are still dithering about upstairs.

storytelling ds. The dds do everything in a very irritating American (dora) accent which I hate. They do different voices for each charachter too though. It is lovely to listen in on the stories.

I'm in complete denial re our financial situation at the moment. I've just paid £15 to camp at the site where my grandma lives in the summer so we can visit for her birthday, and I will be borrowing camping stuff, so that is at least a cheep weekend (my parents and expended family will be there so not much more to be spend hopefully.
You can always do day trips here with your boys in the holidays mrm I'll feed you.

Jas · 02/07/2007 21:10

Saved me searching csws Seems like a perfectly reasonable response to me (yours that is.)

Phoenix · 02/07/2007 21:17

Don't talk to me about money we're skint again. I've even applied for a credit card which i said we wouldn't do again but i'm hoping its just for back up just in case and we won't need to use it much. Its 0% on purchases for 9 month.

mustrunmore · 02/07/2007 21:48

Urghh, credit cards. No way in the world am I starting on that slippery slope... a) I have no willpower b)its not a cash flow problem, its just a lack of cash! So a cc isnt going to sort it out. I'm happy to keep on making do, but still being able to sleep at night (er, metaphorically speaking, obviously I'll never actually get a full nights sleep again!)

Thanks Jas, I like my stairs too It was a bit of a hassle at first, as ds1 had to discuss the merits of every vcolour as he got to it
We will indeed be coming your way in the hols, as a)it'll be nice to see you b)I'm nosey c) ds1 is nosey d)the hols are very very long and dh has only got about 12 days off total I think, so no help there

Well, no run, but I've had a good tidy up and a sort out(not tackled my wardrobe though, which is getting urgent as I cant actually open it without an avalanche).Got a bag of stuff for the charity shop. Unless any of you want a brand new lemon yellow towelling bathrobe size 14-16?(MIL heard about the lovely posh one dh got me, so thought she'd send another!!??!!??)Or a single duvet cover with pastel teddies on? Or the lip gloss that came with the Bratz doll that ds1 won? (sorry, but I do draw the limit somewhere!)

Csws, I addressed your envelope today... Er, actually, dont get too excited, as its from ds1 not from me

mustrunmore · 02/07/2007 21:49

Oh, but the risers are white, Jas!!! Unless you were focussing on the knocks from ds2 lobbing toys over the gate and down, chipping all the paint off!

Phoenix · 02/07/2007 22:00

I know mrm i think i'm gonna regret getting one. I'm hoping we can dig ourselves out of the sh*t before we spend on it. Car tax is due at the end of this month too

mustrunmore · 02/07/2007 22:03

Oops, hope that didnt sound a bit tactless phoenix Sorry! I just detest them with a vengence because I know I couldnt control myself once I started. Luckily, we have no car, so no tax I couldnt ever imagine being able to afford a car, its just not written into our situation! And we really dont need one , living in London.

Flamesparrow · 02/07/2007 22:06

everything here, no time to post, too much of acold too tired and too much to do

Phoenix · 02/07/2007 22:13

Don't worry i know we're entering a slippy slope by even applying for one but we just need a bit of help at the mo then hopefully we'll pay it off once we've skrimped and scraped for a few months to get back on top of our finances. We've got 2 cars mrm and we need them. I sooooooo want to get rid of one but we really do need it due to dh's shifts. We'd be much better off with just one but it wouldn't work

Phoenix · 02/07/2007 22:43

has everyone gone to bed?

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/07/2007 23:08

I'm here. Knackered and should be in bed, but just trying to watch BNTM before I go up (Sky+ed it as was having massage).

Frizbe · 02/07/2007 23:13

CSWS yep a teeny bit of an insight with the teeth thing, damn pains they are! think dd2 is teething again tonight, as she keeps emitting the odd whimper....

Blinking Facebook is addictive innit Flame....

Phoenix, yay for monies for house stuff, boo for credit card, the damn things creep up so easily

MRM thanks for the dvd back, arrived this am and got me out of bed the girls were having a lie in, and so was I!! lol
Like the sound of your stairs.

Well I managed Aqua aerobics tonight, even though my training buddy skipped out on me again

Jas · 03/07/2007 07:13

I was in bed by 9.30

The only good thing re our finances is that I have very nearly paid off our cc. The second car will go after the holidays, but I will admit it is nice having it. I'm going to visit my friend today (she has a baby seat for the bike for me)and it it just wouldn't be possible on public transport in the time I have while the girls are at school.

Just shows how observant I am mrm.

Flame - You seem to be very run dowm and tired at the moment.

Bad cold, landlord inspection on Thursday and the place is nowhere near straight because I'm not up to working hard during the day, we lost most of Sunday due to the meal and ballet show. We were on a roll with DD being dry at night (had to take away her pull ups and she was getting sore), and now she keeps wetting, so on top of trying to find the house I'm washing bedding every bloody day.

I cocked up someone's order last night and sent them a nappy they didn't want .

The sink has been slow running, was going to get some unblocker today... last night it decided that the U bend couldn't be arsed anymore - greasy old water all over the cupboard and its contents, and the kitchen floor. So the time we had set aside to finish the diningroom was used to sort that mess out.

Decided to store the baby swing and pram in the fiesta until it can get in mum's loft, got there - the battery has conked out again. The only door that would unlock was the driver's (right against a wall, I could just slide in to try the other locks, but not get anything else in), so I am there last night, in the rain, posting a pram and swing into the car through the boot (luckily the ledge thingy dropped down a bit for more leveridge(?sp)). Yes, it would be amusing if I wasn't feeling cr*ppy.

Moved the pram to find two MORE binbags full of clothes for B to "grow into" (mainly age 6-7) - we have no loft and no storage. I know we need all the free clothes we can get, but I just have nowhere to keep them

Mum is stressed at work and I'm worrying about her health with it. Where she's working so much she's still not been able to build the computer desk, so I am still set up office on the diningroom table which is wrecking my back and my lounge carpet (kids eating at a little table in the lounge).

It's my friend's grandad's funeral today and I'm worried about her.

Oh, and I transferred 2 payments to the business account and they are showing up as going in, but going out again somewhere and i can't work out where they have gone unless they have bounced back to the original account somehow??

Argh

Oh, Flame Cheer up. I can offer no practical advice, except put the excess stuff up csws's loft I'd offer to keep then here, but our loft is completely packed. Dh reckons the water tank will explode from the pressure on/against it

Frizbe, glad it woke you I should've put a lovely message or something in there, but I posted in a hurry. But the thought was there!

Csws, how was the massage?

dewmeadow · 03/07/2007 08:56

hiya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

greetings and hugs to everyone!!!!

HAve been away for ages and have been lured back to yap about being humungous (37 weeks) and also to rave about teh new Hary Potter book (18 days) Sort of dropped out cos I was such bad form with being pregnant - felt so guilty about feeling like shite as I know a few people who cant conceive and Im on no3 and complaining about feeling horrible. Dont get me wrong, I really want my baby but the actual physical reality of eth pregnancy hit me for 6. Does that make sense?

DS is a big bruisign toddler whose main aim in life seem to be to destroy. He is SO rough compared to his sister, adn he pulls her hair and hits her, and even tries to hit me to get attention. Boys are so different. But he is so gorgeous too and such a wee charmer. He has a huge mouthful of teeth and has been endlessly teething or had bad colds and coughs for months, and so his sleep pattern has been crap. (am afraid to say thsi outloud so whisper) he has slept through for the past 4 nights (unheard of in his short life)

Hope everyone is tickety boo - Ill be back, but Rory is becomign restless and is threatening to wreck the printer!!

Chloe55 · 03/07/2007 08:59

Hiya,

Haven't been on for a few days, mainly through laziness , read a few posts - very about Hillls.

I got a new cat yesterday (one from work which was going to be put to sleep) - she is a 3yr old persian and hasn't come out from behind the tumble dryer since last night - poor bugger, she is obviously very confused and frightened.

House is a mess - desperately need to get it tidied today.

Chloe55 · 03/07/2007 08:59

OMG! 37wks.......already !

Jas · 03/07/2007 09:23

Hiya Dewmeadow. I understand what you mean. Not enjoying being pregnant (particularly at 37 weeks with a toddler in tow!) doesn't bear any relation to your feelings about the baby.
Just beqar in mind it all gets harder when the baby is born so don't wish away these last few weeks.

We will all be following you for your birth announcement...

Chloe[Why was she going to be put to sleep? I hope she comes out soon. My cat hid for ages when I first got him, too.

Flame. I second csws' loft as storage solution

SnowballV · 03/07/2007 10:13

Hurrah for Dew!!!!!

(are you forgetting my whinging through the entire last pregnancy? And then the whinging that I had no right to whinge )

Likin CSWS loft idea too

Phoenix · 03/07/2007 11:21

Is that you Flame?
