Oh dear - can they not deliver during the day tomorrow? I'd have a whinge at head office - bound to get some vouchers out of it at least.

(I'm not allowed to say that Tesco are crap, because they were my dream company and I was delighted when I got a job there).

KelBelle · 26/06/2007 22:49

Oh no MRM - Agree with CSWS you should complain and see what you can get out of them.

Warmfront had a look at my loft and I have floorboards up there too so he said he thought there was enough underneath but if I wanted more they would lay it on top of the boards so I refused for now.

My friend has kind of cancelled my date tomorrow and said he will pop round but I have blown him out and said that I cant make it - I'm may do a drink but definately dont want to do sex again!!!

DS said "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" today after I pointed one out in the garden, he points to all the trees now too and shows them to me.

I went to ELC today and bought DS some finger paints and a little chalkboard. I also had a deal in JL on a toy dyson hoover (DS is obsessed with mine). They had none in stock so they sold me the display model for £6.95 instead of £16.95 it is a bit scratched but DS loves it and played with it for hours today so I didnt mind it being bashed!! I would have got one on ebay but by the time you pay postage you may as well get a new one. We will have fun with the paints tomorrow!!!

Flame · 27/06/2007 08:09

Not read all - going to read and start on the round up when I get a chance, which will help me catch up.

Hectic couple of days with nappies, and to top it off my friend appears to be losing it (not Psycho).

mustrunmore · 27/06/2007 09:24

Well Flame, if you will do mad things like volunteering to do round ups when you've got a business to run...

Tescos gave us 2 codes for £10 each automatically, and I've reordered for tonight. But had to phone them and they put me on to the techy man to transfer my order all across, else I'd have had to go and choose it all again item by item But because it still shows as last nights having been delivered, and no emails yet, I'm still fretting about the refund on the other one. I know its olny just phone line opening time, but I have no patience!!

Anyway, a bit of good news too..... he was back last night, with my lovely lovely ipod shuffle What a fab pressie!!!! So, suggestions welcome for good running-tempo tracks to put on it please! Its going to be hard to make decisions!!

damewashalot · 27/06/2007 10:09

Washing machine dead, making banging noise when spinning and got black spots on stuff It is 8yrs old so not done too badly but don't want to spend the money right now, have just booked a holiday as well(before machine broke or we might not have) oh well at least I get to shop

Frizbe · 27/06/2007 14:16

Dame for washing machine, the nightmare thing to go that you just have to replace don't suppose it will repair? prob cheaper to get a new one eh?

MRM hurrah for exercise, for IPOD shuffle, for lodger back! (avec shuffle) and for flapjack running tracks, erm, basement jacks (SP) are good for running to (Gym have them on often!)

Macca, sounds like you were having a nice night

Chloe/Phoenix, hope your doing ok up there in the floods, silly bil phoned here today, as he had a brainwave and thought we might be flooded, dur, no where near and on top of a huge hill......men plus the face if we had been, he might have had us living with him by now!!

Flame for friend, can we help?

Hello Jas, CSWS, Kel, CS etc etc

We're supposed to be going Scarboro to our friends at the weekend, but currently debating how long it will take/will we be able to get there? as horrible rain forecast and M1 might be closed again? thinking M18 might be viable, but then parts got closed the other day too? think we'll just have to chance it and see???

mustrunmore · 27/06/2007 14:20

I've started compling my list; reckon i'll need about 100 songs... but only doing it because ds1's nursery teacher wants to borrow some music (relaxing stuff, which I apparently look like i probably own ), so I've been through all my cds now, getting carried away! Have still only chosen 18 tracks so far (no Basement Jaxx in sight!)

Washing machnies are really not built to last, so I reckon you've done well with it really!!

Frizbe · 27/06/2007 14:21

xx on the jaxx then!!
I usually just listen to the gym stuff so? what ever is on!
raining here booooooooo
oh and dd2's room at nursery have announced a case of hand, foot and mouth, which I could really do without dd2 gettting or dd1 for that matter, fingers x'd eh.....

mustrunmore · 27/06/2007 14:24

God, really? yuck. Er, at the nursery, not the gym music!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/06/2007 14:26

Tell us your 18 tracks then while I read the rest of the posts...

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/06/2007 14:32

Well done on the bargaining in JL Kel. DD would love a hoover too, but I can't justify buying her loads more toys at the moment.

Yay for lodger bearing i-pod.

for washing machine. I really must start a thread about stain removal , as I just can't get anything clean these days.

Friend's dd had hand foot and mouth a few months ago (also from nursery outbreak) but it only seemed to last a few days thankfully. I hadn't even heard of it until a few months ago! Hope you dd manages to avoid it Friz.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/06/2007 14:45

Oh yes, 2 questions for everyone please...

  1. Assuming you give your dc milk before bed, what quantity?
  2. Assuming you give them milk when they wake in the morning, how long do you then leave it before giving them breakfast?

Thank you .

damewashalot · 27/06/2007 14:51

Um...... I fill a bottle at bedtime don't measure guess 9-10oz??? and it depends what time he wakes, if early and weekend could be hour or more before he gets breakfast in the week I give him a cup of milk to keep him happy while I get breakfast and he usually drinks most of it with his food. or pours it on his tray and rubs his hands in it giggling

damewashalot · 27/06/2007 14:57

Why?

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/06/2007 15:22

1 because we're still bf but am just starting to take up cup as well in hope that gradually she'll take more and more from cup and less from me, but last night she had 2 breasts and 3/4 of a cup, and I was at the volume.

2 because dd doesn't eat breakfast well at the moment, and wondering if it's because she's still full from morning bf.

Frizbe · 27/06/2007 16:21

dd2 has about half a cup of milk at bedtime, roughly 2 hrs after tea (try to feed at 5pm) and bed at 7pm. In am she has milk as soon as she gets up, if she's up late like this am, at 7.45 then its straight to breakfast table and milk with breaky, so mixture of weetabix with milk and cup of milk too today, followed by a slice of fruity toast. HTH's

Thinking of going to wake her up now, she's been asleep since 1.30pm, ahem I've left her with gran sitting this afternoon whilst I took dd1 swimming, but she's still a gonner at the moment, bless swimming tires em out eh!

Flame · 27/06/2007 16:35

Still not caught up.

The last few days DS is going through more than a pint a night His teeth are hurting, he doesn't want to eat, so he is filling up on milk every few hours in the night

3 9oz bottles in 12 hours last night.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/06/2007 17:03

7:45 - 5:45 here today.

Teeth could be a factor here atm too, as she's not eating all meals well, but still had a decent dinner last night before all that guzzling.

2boysmacca · 27/06/2007 18:53

Who's child eats all their meals well? I've obvioulsy got 2 dud ones here if mine are the only ones who's don't!

mustrunmore · 27/06/2007 19:26

ds2 eats all his meals well! But ds1 eats none of them well, so I suppose that balances it all out?
csws, ds2 has:
6oz 5am
brekkie 7am
5oz 10.30am if I really cant distract him
lunch at noon
5oz 2.30 pm
Tea at 5pm
6oz 6.30pm.
Bed at 7pm.
(Plus maybe snack here and there)

Sorted my hols. I'm cheating; phoned my auntie and asked if she could put us up (all 7 of us!)

Will do the songlist so far a bit later, if Tescos man doesnt arrive. I've left it upstairs.

Jas, ds1 wants to see your house !!!

mustrunmore · 27/06/2007 19:57

Arggghhhhh!!! I swear on my life that when I reordered the tesco delivery,I did it for today between 7 and 9. But I just looked on my account, and its somehow changed into coming tomorrow, same time I'm so certain I didnt do that, as I was obv being very careful to get the next closest slot after it didnt turn up last night.Oh, ffs.

Phoenix · 27/06/2007 20:12

I've skim read but not remembered anything except milk. Ds has a full bottle (10oz ish) as soon as he gets up, drinks water with his meals and throughout the day, then he has between 3-8oz before bed depending on what mood he's in . He has his weetabix about an hour after morning milk and also nibbles on mine and dh's toast

We're still at my mums but roof has been finished today, so has the attic and our bedroom ceiling is up and just needs plastering tomorrow . There's so much dust about all over the house tho from the ripping the remaining ceiling down today that we're gonna need to clean it from top to bottom before we go back home . I'm going home tomorrow morning to make a start on the cleaning before i go to work.

Frizbe - apart from the flooding all over Wakefield and me trying to get round and empty post boxes and the traffic been crap i haven't been affected by the rain. No rain at all here today it's been quite sunny and warm, still is.

I forgot to mention as you'll probably all know Royal Mail are striking on Friday well guess who's day off it is on Friday and who'll still get paid . I didn't even vote to strike so i'm so glad its my day off

2boysmacca · 27/06/2007 20:13

ds1 is the same, it's painful at mealtimes (after spending the first 18 months of his life enjoying anything). Ds2 gobbles his brekkie, rarely has lucnh as he's in bed and eats for England for tea

He has a full bottle when he wakes (but if he's up late we;ll just have brekkie which is enough porridge to feed the 3 bears and goldilocks!)). They have a mid morning snack (which is 9am for us!) he goes to bed about 11/11.30 sleeps until 2/3, has a snack of banana, maltloaf or raisins and a gallon of water. Tea at 5 then milk at 6.30 (full bottle, 8oz?)

2boysmacca · 27/06/2007 20:16

x-posts pg. Glad to hear things are sorted but for the mess.

Been to a birthday party at soft play today. Boys were shattered. Came home, milk and straight to bed

Cup of tea ready, off to watch end of Location x3

ChasingSquirrels · 27/06/2007 20:24

T has milk in the day in a sippy beaker, but have just started introducing open cup with meals when he is sitting, and has bf first and last thing so no idea how much, generally he eats pretty well - not everything but most of it. only started this recently, he was horrendous for months.
ds1 is ill I had the day off work today cos he should have been at the cm but my mum has him tomorrow so will be ok.
frozen milk - well i tried it, but the 4pt took 3 days to defrost in the fridge and I didn't want to leave it out. have just tried a 2pt.
