GreedyGecko · 30/11/2007 06:37

Wahoo! Take That tonight! I'm excited, really need the day out to forget about everything. I'm sooooo confused. Have a meeting at work tomorrow morning, so think J and I will be sleeping, singing TT songs, really annoying everyone with stories of Howard! hee hee!

Yes, I will also be putting decorations up tomorrow. Bought my new tree last week, I have a white one, it's so lovely, didn't get the pink one I wanted, I spend too much money when I go to Gunwharf! Have also got lots of decrations to make, so lots of things to do witht he boys.

ChaCha, my name is GG and I'm a facebookaholic! (I'm also a wispaholic, and really need to stop eating them!)

GreedyGecko · 01/12/2007 03:08

OMG They were amazing. They come across as such lovely, genuine guys. Jason is just gorgeous. So is Gary. They just get better with age. They were the ugly ones, now they're the fit ones! It must be so amazing to stand on that stage with thousands of people with their hands in the air singing your songs at you. They really were great. "We love you TT!"

Diege · 01/12/2007 08:52

I'm back! . Glad you had such a great time GG - goodness knows you deserve it! Hope you're not too tired today!
Had a great time in Cardiff (Conference was ok too though nothing new...)Had a gorgeous room with views over the whole of Cardiff (was on 17th floor)so just coming back down to reality! Children's party at 10, so speak later! Diege x

GreedyGecko · 01/12/2007 09:34

Hotel sounds lovely Diege, back to RL with a bang!

I've just booked Kylie tickets for next July!! I'm going to have a busy few months

ChaCha · 01/12/2007 19:59

Concert sounds fun GG - glad you enjoyed it so much and Hotel sounds fab Diege.

At my mum's this weekend, most of the neighbours have all their decorations up including Santas/reindeers and lights in gardens and on trees, very bright and festive looking. Are we doing Secret Santa this year girls or are we too late? I never found out who our SS was last year but that gift is still going strong and both DSs play with it. Go on...spill the beans? (or crack the eggs open eh? )

Took DS1 to walk in Surgery today, thought he may have tonsilitis again but they are just swollen and he has a cold, DS2 also has a cold but doing much better as he is still eating unlike DS1 who hasn't eaten for days As for me, highlight of the day is having a bath and some quiet time while mum plays with the boys, AF still not here so have had PMT for days...grrrr!

Talk in the week x

GreedyGecko · 01/12/2007 20:24

Oooh! Bath sounds lovely ChaCha. How are the boys doing?

I'm trying to sort out money here...got to open a new account for myself and get everything changed into it. I've worked out I'm going to have about £30 max a week to do shopping & pay for anything else that crops up. And thats reliant on tips. Such a PITA as if I was renting there'd be no probs as the majority of it would be paid, but I am not going back to renting.

Really must go and sort this new accoujnt out, although I'm sure I will be stuck on facebook for the next few hours.

Diege · 02/12/2007 11:22

Morning! Hope the boys (and you) are feeling batter CHACHA, and that you get a little respite! GG, my sympathies are with you on the money front ; I work with several people who are in very similar situations, and I know from them what a struggle things are - do make sure you claim everything you're entitled to, and keep on at them if they get things wrong. They only listen to those that nag, sadly.
I'd be up for the secret santa in we have enough people? .
Well, sicky bug is going through the diege household - you know, the type that involves sudden vomiting and lumpy sheets!! Two dds down, one to go...
Horrible weather here today, so hoping OI can find a window to attack the washing!
Speak later, diege x

BrownieBells · 02/12/2007 13:17

Hello - glad you had a good time in CArdiff Diege.
Chacha - have a nice time at your mums - look after yourself, T has a cold too, very runny nose, red cheeks and loss of apetite here too....
GG - glad you enjoyed TT - never been a fan myself, but hey ho, and Kylie too - you busy girl you!

We would be up for SS if anyone else is? thought it worked well last year anyone heard from Rodeo by the way?

Well, we have just had a very naughty but funny moment (iyswim) Went upstairs to put T back into bed for his nap (having got out twice!?) and found that he had virtually emptied a 500g tub of Diprobase all over his new "road" rug (you know, the ones with roads and so on to play cars on) well, he only got it yesterday off dh's ex-mil, and we put it in his room to play with - thought what a good idea, till this episode! everywhere was covered - was itching to laugh, but thought best not.....have cleaned up as best we can.....little monkey!!

His latest phrase is "Mummy do that" or "Daddy do that" he is really funny, cute and wonderful, but also determined and mischievious! Gotta love em!

off to Go outdoors later, so will dash off to have rest while get the chance!

B

Beksmum · 02/12/2007 15:01

Hi girls

GG glad you enjoyed the TT concert and good on you for booking Kylie we all need a treat now and then. Hope things sort themselves out moneywise, must be very hard for you.

BB lol at T what alittle monkey!

Diege glad your course went well. It's amazing how much Cardiff has changed isn't it.

I sent Rodeo a facebook message yesterday and they are all fine and she sends her love but she is still laptop less and possibly for another 6 weeks so is logging on by mobile every so often. She was pleased to hear she was being missed!

I'm up for Secret Santa with who ever wants to be in it. Wasn't Twinkle the super organiser last year?

We've got our xmas decs up and I'm off to attack a mountaimn of ironing and watch The Santa Clause 3.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend despite the lousy weather Beks

ChaCha · 03/12/2007 14:05

ChaCha · 03/12/2007 18:17

Oh Twinkle - but I had to LOL at 'seemed like a good idea at the time' bless you. Good idea to order from out, not fun cooking with MS and tonsilitis too! Hope that you manage to keep your tea down and that your kids are not too much of a handfull. I don't know what croup is although i remember it being mentioned here before and googled it at the time... Sending you strength (not that i've got any) and hugs. And well done on finishing the costumes!

Thanks Beks - I've not been a very good mummy this afternoon, he is full of the cold and i've been really unmummy like. I'm not feeling too great, AF is yet to arrive and i've had PMT for a week now - I am seriously going to pin DH down when he walks through the door and leave him the DC, I really need to sleep otherwise children will have mummy from hell for rest of evening.

Londoner · 03/12/2007 20:16

Hello everyone,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Z!*

Have enjoyed catching up but sorry have not time to post prop.

Love to all, xxxx

GreedyGecko · 03/12/2007 20:47

Happy Birthday Z.

Have received a huge 'Secret Santa' parcel today from one of the MNers. It's really touching how someone I don't know, have never met can be so, so generous.

We only have a tree up this year, but it looks lovely. It's a white one that I bought a few weeks ago, all the decorations on it are homemade by the boys, except for a few Disney bits that we bought from DLP. Everything is in sections, so there is a bauble area, a father Christmas area, angel area and so on!

All the presents are in boxses in my room, have nowhere to hide them properly. The boys were up htere the other day palying. i went up only t find S had opened the biggest box and was playing with his Tigger. Lots of screams when I put it away, fortunately none of Os came out, but did explain to him that some of the elves were unwell, so Father Christmas had asked me to wrap the presents for him & he would then redeliver them on Christmas Eve! I think he bought it.

GreedyGecko · 03/12/2007 21:29

Oh yes, and forgot to say, R was in court today. Recived ban for DUI & supervision order & community service for assault.

L&S, My mob noumber has changed, will facebook msg yuo with my new one, have lots of trouble getting onto yaho site.

Have just remembered another antic by S tonight. Picture the scene...boys are upstairs playing after their bath, then they start calling me, so up I go...
O - "you stink"
M - (thinking) he must have pooed, then uh-oh he has no nappy.
S - comes out of my room with lump of poo in his hand
M - "put it down"
S - (laughing)
M - "put it down please"
S - (tries to hand it to me)
M - "No, put it down"
S - (pulls arm back)
M - "nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!"
S - (throws poo)
M - (fortunately ducked/jumped/somehow got out of the way)

Diege · 03/12/2007 22:39

PS:my book chapter on antenatal screening was published today!!! [proud emoticon].

ChaCha · 04/12/2007 07:45

Thanks ladies for all those congratulations, I am still totally surprised but excited (well until all the usual kicks in that is) - and there I was feeling broody at Twinkle's news!! Had been having AF type cramps since last week with no sign of AF, yesterday I was feeling a bit run down, dizzy and tired and so asked DH to bring me home a test, more to rule it out and get on with things rather than confirming IYSWIM, i just kept expecting AF to arrive. I am excited but also scared at thought of 3 under 3 but have asked DH to arrange some sort of home help if last two pregnancies are anything to go by - we will see. So i guess all plans are on hold and will take a day at a time.

According to calculator thingy EDD is August 11th minus a week or two for CS so could be end July i guess.

Thank you all girls Have joined the AN group so hopefully normal conversation will resume here.

L&S Mum - Is good to see a post, where have you been?! It's great that you are the SS organiser - my mob has also changed so will get that to you asap.

Diege - Congratulations!!

GG - OMG! I have heard stories like that before, boys!!!!! I am yet to flip back and read your posts, if your DP has left because he was no good then congratulations on going it alone GG - you and your DSs are doing great!

Is good to see you too Londoner. How are the kids?

Beksmum · 04/12/2007 17:16

Yay Congratulations Chacha what fantastic news, you sound very excited. I had to laugh at your message about feeling broody about Twinkle, I'll just stay broody if that's alright with you.

L&S thanks for offering to organise the SS, sorry I forgot it was you who was super organised last year. My mobile no. is still the same. Where have you been hiding by the way?

GG sounds like R got quite a punishment but no lss than he deserves, hopefully he'll realise how serious what he did was. You're doing great girl and just you remember that. The tree decorations sound fab, especially the ones made by the boys.

LOL at the poo incident, I was just telling Ben and he cracked up.

Diege well done on your published paper, you must be very proud.

Right suspiciously wquiet better go and see what's going on as T has worked out there is chocolate on the tree and already eaten two today Beks
