ChaCha · 08/11/2007 18:03

Hi girls, Have so much to catch up on, only managed this one page. Was really nice to read b'day stories :-) When boys are in bed and if it's not too late will do a proper catch up. Part two of the day is about to begin so have them to get ready and out. No siesta today DS2 is getting very cheeky and refusing naps!!

So far all good here, have been offered a teaching post for next year and places for the boys - have yet to discuss with DH and family before signing contract. Boys are okay, DS1 has had encounter with jelly fish while in the sea and other than that usual bumps and bruises and DS2 is cruising [groan] and eating everything in sight.

I will be back soon, hope to catch up with you later if not then. Love to all x

BrownieBells · 08/11/2007 18:15

Just a quick post from me - lovely to see you Chacha, wow what exciting news - is that a teching post out where you are at the moment, or back at home? Tell all, how wonderful, they obviously think a lot of you then?!

Also, wanted to say Happy Birthday to all those I have so far missed - and also to GG's S for today (at last I have got one on the day!? there is hope for me yet!?)

Have painted T's bedroom today - what a taks, got it all done in one day (glossing done by my Dad when we were in spain!) He has gone from a cream & willow tree green (v pale) classic winnie the pooh style nursery, to a Deep Sea Diver Blue and pale yellow little boys room! Have even managed to put up the border which matches his digger curtains (from Next!) Am well impressed!

Just the rest of the house to get done now! Am planning on doing the bathroom tomorrow - our room will have to wait till next year!

See you all later, have to shove a pizza down my neck & get changed ready to go to Yoga (have got a Brownie Disco to go to tomorrow night! approx 100 Brownies for an hour & a half! - you envious!? )

B
xx

GreedyGecko · 08/11/2007 20:21

Hi all

Belated birthday wishes to L & A. Sounds like A loved his scooter! Diege, ditto here with birthday boy not being allowed to touch his toys because big bro wants them!

Not much cake here I'm afraid. O & I spent all night being ill. Useless mummy here that I am, I managed to get O to the toilet, but couldn't comfort him as I had my head in the basin. And poor S, bless him, was so upset that we were both ill, and all I could do was try to push him away. Ended up with no sleep until 4am, and then S was up at 6.30.

Diege · 09/11/2007 07:35

Oh no GG you must feel awful with sickness and so little sleep...Feeling any better today?
BB..errr, no you're OK,no envy with Brownie disco, lol. I'm sure they'll have a ball! (and you too I bet!) Hi CHACHA!Great to hear from you - wow, great that you've got a job fixed - details please!
Hi to all - and RODEO where are you!!!

Beksmum · 12/11/2007 10:42

Hi girls, hope you all had a good weekend

A belated Happy 2nd Birthday to Joshua hope you had a fab day yesterday little man.

Meant to post last night but am having a lot of sleep problems here at the moment as Ben is having terrible night terrors again with full on hallucinations which he involves us in and because he's screaming so much he wakes Tom who then won't go back to sleep.

Chacha good to see you post the job sounds very exciting, looking forward to hearing more on your return. Eek at the jelly fish encounter, I take it it wasn't too serious and lol at Y cruising, what great timeing - not!

Right best go am supposed to be tying up the minutes for the pta meeting but have lost my pad, what a muppet.

Love to all Beks

GreedyGecko · 12/11/2007 14:17

HI Beks, poor little man. Must be so frightening for you all, and a feeling of helplessness I expect. Do I remember you saying this is all linked ot growth spurts?

Boys are with R. O off school again. Poorly bum this time! He's very rarely ill, and only had 1 day off school the whole of last year, so think maybe it's everything thats going on atm rather than actual illness IYKWIM.

Have the date for S's op. It will be 17th Dec , my birthday! SO he'll be a sore boy still at Christmas, but at least not long after new year everything will be fine and he'll be able to wee properly.

Off to do a bit more cleaning & tidying. This place has seriously never looked so tidy!

novadandypowder · 12/11/2007 20:52

Hellllooooo
Diege, thanks for your answer re. sleep. The problem with DH is that he says he will only do a night with miniman at the weekend if he then gets to sleep during the day which means any rest I did get would be eaten up by a little bundle of energy who stands at the front door with her shoes if she's in the house for any longer than an hour at the weekend. I also get both kids up at the weekend so that he can stay in bed and have a lay in. Sometimes he gets up and says I should go back to bed for an hour or two but then all I can hear is lots of crying coming from downstairs and when I get up every toy and book is scattered around the house and I spend ages tidying up.

Noo is has had a couple of random outbursts at night and have had to do cc with her to try and get her sleeping back to normal. DH decided he would be in charge of getting her back to sleep this morning when she woke at 3.20, and by 4.35 I demanded that he let me take over and got her to sleep within 10mins! DH's problem is that he tries to get he back to sleep with cuddles and stroking, I keep telling him that won't work, but he just thinks I'm evil!

Miniman is suffering with really bad eczema on his head and back. It flared up when he had his chest infection and I've been battling to keep it under control since then. Was trying to avoid using steroid creams but think I'm going to have to take him to the GP tomorrow as he's scratched his scalp red raw.

Feetheart how is life going with the kitten?

Where is Rodeo?

Good news about the op GG, bet you'll be welcoming the new year with open arms.

Got thoroughly spoiled for my birthday last week. Got shoes and a bracelet from DH and a dinner out at Ramsays. We had the 7 course prestige menu and we were eating for 3 hours. It was sooooo delicious and I made sure I was wearing my spanx control pants to make sure I didn't look pg again.

Beks sympathies with the night terrors, it's so hard to function when your sleep is disturbed, how is B during the day, does he know he's having them?

Chacha fantastic news about the job, and I'm in awe of you to still be travelling with your two ds's, I find it difficult enough just getting mine to the shops

Hi to everyone else, hope you're keeping well.

GreedyGecko · 12/11/2007 21:05

Hi

Nova, birthday sounds lovely. Lucky you! I can sympathise with the lack of sleep and getting no help. My main problem was always that S was up at stupid o clock and instead of ignoring him R wold try to get him back to sleep. Now I wake at about 7 to find the tv on some random channel and S playing in his bedroom.

Am (mostly) loving being by moyslef. It's difficult when it takes me an hour (yes really!) to change a nappy, but everything else just seems so much easier. I'm sure that'll change.

I think Rodeo was having laptop problems last time she posted.

S ended up being ill too today. Typically perfect timing. He doesn't usually wear a nappy at home, so you can imagine the mess. Bleurgh!

Beksmum · 14/11/2007 19:36

Where is everyone?

Londoner · 15/11/2007 13:51

Hello - just a qucik one from me...

hope you are all well - GG - a good clear out is good for the soul apparently!? possibley why my house is full of stuff I've hoarded, all squirrel like!

Diege, am up your way on Sunday for my goddaughter's party again - this time it is at Big Fun(?) in Warrington, Penketh/Sankey way I think (am hoping TomTom will get us there! - got a bit fuddled on the way to Fun2be last year!)

T is getting excited about his birthday now - he is desperate for a toy kettle! (have promised to get him one from the ELC if he doesn't get one! funny how they all of a sudden comprehend this sort of thing, and make demands, can't be so easily fobbed off anymore!

Right, off to relax in front of the TV now!

Diege - you watching the Jungle programme this year? Is Rodeo's laptop still on the blink? she's not been around for ages......hope youa re ok if you're getting chance to lurk at all....

Love to all others - Nova, Beks (good luck with party!), Londoner, Twinkle and everyone else.
xx
