March 2007 - can't keep up

Hi all -miss a few days due to nightmare things happening at home and I can't keep up now - so started a new thread. Perhaps thought we could remind each other when babes were born - I have lost track at who is the oldest etc.

Been busy here. Prac nanny is okay but hard work - feel like I can't totally relax in my own home etc. She is not sure how to deal with /take dd1 - making it hard. Dd1 had major meltdown after swimming the other day and then at hospital appt, then nanny took eyes from her for a second and she is finally found out on the footpath beside a major road and a sensible and lovely man brought her back. Unlike hospital volunteer who managed to stop dd1 taking a lift anywhere but when she could not get dd1 to hold her hand - she just left her It is clear the minute you speak to dd1 she has special needs FGS. poor nanny student was beside herself.

Saturday dh was gone all day on training exercise and dds only wanted daddy - long day. I managed to get out to a trivia night - MY TEAM WON - i found the questions very easy and answered most of them ( not bragging- just surprised my brain still functioned) I took dd3 - she would not go to sleep - come 11pm still wide awake and beyond over tired... got her home - to see dd2 in bed with dh cause she had an explosive puke that covered everything in her room. She was still up at 1am puking and I had dd3 still crying as she was exhausted.

so long rant - long few days - I am wrecked!!

dd3 - 12 weeks old.

OMG this thread just dropped off my "my threads" lost which means I haven't been on for 3 days!!! [shock and massive withdrawal symptoms]

what have I missed?

foxcub · 17/07/2007 18:12

yes, end of term mayhem Kitty.

DS1's party (done)
sports days
school BBQ
DD's party (this week)
various passport renewals
Monti's baptism (to come)
builders
tiles
boden sales
blah, blah, blah

TransfiguratingLily · 17/07/2007 19:28

Mossy extra money! great news!

Dolly, my Godfather and his partner knew Quentin Crisp. I thought the book and film were great.

Oh boy, I'm tired.

foxcub · 17/07/2007 21:14

Diva try not to qworry it'lll be fine

Piffle - glad to hear the magic tounch has healed your back

Mossy - I need to take lessons from you!! How did you get tax credits back then?

Lily - me tired too

Dolly - Monti feeding for Britain too

He fell off the bed for the second time in a week today. I was quite worried as he cried and cried but seems happy now )two spoonfulls of Calpol later...)

Kitty - let us know how the food goes. I'mm stalling on giving Monti any food yet. This is really embarassing but he is being baptised in sept and I'm worried he won't fit into his dress - or will look like a burly transvestite. Its my granny's dress and the others wore it at 3 months and he'll be 6 months

Anywau he is huge already, but if he sits up soon I'll give him some food. he's deffo showing a bit of interest in food now

foxcub · 17/07/2007 21:15

I like Quentin Crisp - was very sad when he died

divastrop · 17/07/2007 21:43

spongecake · 17/07/2007 21:53

foxcub · 17/07/2007 22:08

spongecake · 17/07/2007 22:26

sponge-move,wedding and an essay?and looking after a small baby?!

SIT DOWN WOMAN!

have you posted about your ebay problem on here?i know theres an ebay section, maybe you could get some advice?

spongecake · 17/07/2007 22:45

diva you forgot that I have a dp to keep happy as well

re shoes she hasn;t accepted payment so I can't get them to do anything as yet, i have emailed her twice, perhaps she is on holiday or having a baby (!)

we move in less than 2 weeks and i have just found out we need curtains and poles. and bathroom furniture(assume towel rail) its not made of gold or anything, so not sure why they want it with them!

also people keep coming round with agent to look at house to rent, so have to be tidy.

and hv coming next week re weaning.

when i casually mentioned i was prob moving, not confirmed, the practice nurse whipped me & baby off the books, so i had to phone and chase his jabs!

TransfiguratingLily · 18/07/2007 07:30

Spongecake, you are doing so much! When dh sold his flat years ago, he even took out the lightbulbs and I was So

My sister is all a bit stressed too. She's getting married on 4th August, she's coming over here tomorrow to try and get a dress/ have hen night. She is about to start two new jobs, if she was moving house too I think her head would just go 'POP!' I don't know how you are managing it all.

Well all three of my little tykes had me up in the night, taking it in turns to torture me. I look so old. I need more sleep.

Mossy · 18/07/2007 08:30

will come back later trying to feed a squirmy baby who keeps pulling off to look around!

foxcub · 18/07/2007 10:15

Don't they sell light bulbs in Cork then??

PMSL

kiwibella · 18/07/2007 12:05

maybe light bulbs are like the glass tax of years ago!!

kiwibella · 18/07/2007 12:09

hope things go well for your lil one today Diva - when my step-daughter had them put in years ago, she was well pleased with the jelly and icecream which she was given afterwards!!

Sponge ... slow down woman!!! Hope plans for your wedding are coming along. Are you having movers in to help you?

Hi everyone... hope you are all doing ok today.

kiwibella · 18/07/2007 12:29

hey Mossy... I am ordering summer weight dream bags and noticed that there is a place for the person who referred you to the site. I'll hold off and check back before the school run (3 o'clock-ish) if you want to leave your name, I'll enter yours or email me bella at tikitour dot net.

Mossy · 18/07/2007 14:50

Ooh I wonder if they'll give me anything for free? How exciting! My real name is Ruth Moss.

Ah, now you all know who I am, but please, one autograph each, my hand gets so sore!

Oh balls I really wanted to chat and now Bertie is having a wail again I swear he recognises the sound of a keyboard!!!

TheBlonde · 18/07/2007 15:23

Hi ladies
Hope everyone is well
I am busy, mostly with dull stuff, so not managing much mumsnetting
Also discovered facebook but so far not wasting too much time on there

Just filled in the application for DD's Child Trust Fund account. Has everyone else done theirs?

How old are all the babies now? I've lost track

Mine is almost 4 mths

muppethasakitten · 18/07/2007 16:38

blonde - what is facebook?

Just did our child trustfund voucher too!

ds1 breaks up tomorrow - keeping fingers crossed for sun for the after school picnic. dd was broken up yesterday so has been helping me round the house today - we had SUCH a mother and daughter shopping trip this morning.... couldn't agree on anything we both liked aaarrrggghhh...

TransfiguratingLily · 18/07/2007 17:00

wayhay, Hasan has cut a tooth

Callieco · 18/07/2007 18:31

Go Hasan!!!

Have squirmy baby on playmat so no time for more!

foxcub · 18/07/2007 18:55

Congrats Hasan!! What a grown up boy! Is it his bottom middle one?

Muppet - weather forecast for tomorrow is faberoonie

Friday on the other hand is mucho crappo - which is the day I have booked a bouncy castle for DD's birthday! Typical huh?

It has a rain cover apparently and the next door neighbours have lent us their gazebo so hoepfully we'll survive!!

foxcub · 18/07/2007 18:57

BTW Monti has been feeding two hourly all day and is all clingy! Think its a joyful mixture of snotty nose and growth spurt!

kiwibella · 18/07/2007 19:04

Fox, the kiddliwinks will have a fantastic time regardless of the weather! What a cool idea for a bday party .

Great news Hasan... be careful on your mama's nipples (ultimate fear)

Blonde, I've become a facebook addict since a friend sent us a link . Muppet... facebook is one of these find-a-friend type websites. I don't know what you do once you have found a friend but, hey .

Hope you get a special mention for all your recommendations Mossy. MissE were in TKMax earlier and they have sleeping bags for a tenner. They are no where near as pretty as the dream bags so beauty won over price.

A nightmare mama-daughter trip for us too Muppet... try buying a sensible outfit for an all too grown up 11 year old to wear to her leaver's party!! I got a lovely outfit on sale so feeling very happy about that. If only I had somewhere to wear it
