gingeme · 28/06/2007 20:34

Oh samsam get the ginger biscuits and acu bands at the ready love. Ah thats so sweet sharing your pregnancy with your sil
I had my booking in appt today. Had quite a laugh with the administrator. I have a second scan on the 9th July. Cant wait.
Im not feeling too bad today apart from being totaly knackered because lo had me up at 5.30 because of his teeth. Managed to get him back to sleep about 6.15 then ds3 woke as usual at 7.05. Oh not sure if your taking any preg vits but I was recomended Sonatagen pro preg vits because they have calcium in them. Ive put my pregnacare away for when I breast feed.
Lo pulled himself up on our coffee table today. Trouble was he wasnt sure what to do next and just kinda let go and fell back. Poor love was so proud of himself too....

Evening All,

Hope you are feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed soon Samsmam and Gingeme. Must be hard with LOs to look after, I remember well that utterly exhausted feeling at the beginning!

Amber had her 8/9 month check to day, before we move away. She is now:
22lb12oz,
74.5 cms long and her head is 42cm.

94th for weight, 98th for height and 25th for head!

What about everyone else LOs?

She also rolled from her back to her tum for the first time today. She wanted to cuddle 1 of the cats so hauled herslef over with the help of a pillow. yesterday and today she actually put some weightr on ehr legs for the first time - she thinks her legs are there just to hold her feet on

My parents are coming down tomorrow - really looking forward to seeing them. They are babysitting Amber for us, after she had her photos taken at the wedding. Bit of a squish in this house but only 2 weeks on Monday till we move to our new house - yippee!

GINGEME - your big boys will be off school now. When do they finish in England? Weather is naff though - looks like the wedding will be washed out! My giant heels will sink in the lawn Need to take some wellies too

EMILYANDLOLA - my cycle is 28 days and has been since starting my periods again. Do you think you might be pg again or are you just concerned as you dont know your cycle? If you want to regulate it take agnus castus tincture for a while.

Oh well must go as am v tired - life is mad at the moment.

kai has finally got a tooth!

hope everyone is well. x

catgirl · 29/06/2007 16:35

just reading the last few posts I realise how crap my (well ds2's!) 8 month check was. They didn't do length, wrote in the wrong weight - under by a kilo! Luckily I corrected him! Also lucky this is my 2nd and I just went along for the freebies!

wishing you all a good, and dry, weekend.

Mellin: re being organised to get out - don't forget I have two - and ds1 is in school so I have to remember stuff for that too! Will be worse next year when he has pe kit etc!

nicand2 · 30/06/2007 12:31

Hello all,

I haven't been on for a while as I've been so busy with my DS1 who now officially has an autism dx, things have been a bit challenging but onwards and upwards!

Anyway DS2 is thriving and i can't keep up with him. He's 23lb, has 6 teeth, commando crawls, waves and now pulls himself up to stand, there's just no stopping him. Our paediatrtician had a quick look at him and doesn't think he is showing an signs of an ASD so relieved about that.

Congratulations to all the pg mummies. I must admit I've been a bit down as we have decided not to go for a 3rd considering DS1 problems, our paed has said it is likely that another child would also have ASD so I think we'll call it a day, finding it quite difficult to come to terms with though, especially when I put all the baby stuff away. Anway I do have 2 lovely boys who i adore so O'm thankful for that.

Hope everyone is staying dry today!

Mellin · 01/07/2007 11:15

Nicand2 - great to see a post from you, I was wondering how you were doing. You sure have had a rollercaster ride the last few months, you sound really calm and in control. Maybe now that you have had the diagnosis, ds1 and your family can get the support you need. I bet there are lots of experienced MN's out there who you can chat to about ASDs.

dd, dh and I are just about to go out for dim sum. dd is a dim sum expert and she loves steamed gai lan, we call her the human vacuum as she eats all the garnishes that come with the dishes.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

gingeme · 01/07/2007 12:05

Sounds yummy Mellin. What is dim sum exactly?
lo pulled himself up on ds3's bed yesterday. Its quite a low kids bed from Ikea. He was ok once he was up but then lost his grip on the quilt and went down with a bump on his bum. He then pulled himself up a bit later on his walker but wasnt too sure what to do when it moved a little. Once I held it steady for him he was smiling away very proud of himself

wuzzlefraggle · 01/07/2007 12:14

hows the pregnancy gingeme? are you going to find out if the baby is pink or blue??

hi all

Anna is now saying mama!! so her vocab now stands at hiya, dada, mama and anna lol, and the raspberry blowing.

babyducky...is that you, bendy??

gingeme · 01/07/2007 17:04

Hi wuzzle your lo sounds like a real chatterbos. The pregnancies as good as can be expected thanks. Not feeling as sick as I was thank goodness but still feel thoroughly exhausted about 2pm. Yes I am going to find out. Got a few weeks before that scan though. My friend ,whos baby girl is now six weeks old, gave me a bag of pink stuff this afternoon. Maybe she knows something I dont.

samsmam · 02/07/2007 08:09

I've got ages until my first scan!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. My boss comes back from her honeymoon today so I have to sort out my return to work date with her. At least it won't be for long I suppose.

Good to hear from you nicand2.

I'm think I'm more excited about Gingeme finding out the colour of her bean! Have you got the date yet?

gingeme · 02/07/2007 11:19

Hi samsam. Im feeling rough today. I have my second nuchal scan on Monday the 9th which will make me 13 weeks so I guess my 20 week colour finding out scan will be in August some time. Lo fell forward on his mouth today and has a fat lip. Dh said he looks hes had botox still I m sure it wont spoil his apetite.
Wheres the sunshine gone? Does make me feel miserable all this bloody rain

samsmam · 03/07/2007 07:38

Its been quiet on here lately. I was wondering where Gemmitygem went to and then realised there are a few people that haven't been on here for ages.

LO now has 6 teeth. Two bottom and four at top. I don't put my finger anywhere near her mouth now!!

Gingeme- Hope LO's lip is better. LOL at Botox. MS has definitely arrived well, more like middle of the night sickness, didn't get it last time!

gingeme · 03/07/2007 09:58

Wow samsam 6 teeth shes doing well. Los mouth is fine now. Hes back to his handsome self.
Yes I was getting sickness about midnight a few weeks ago. Not nice. Think its tailing off a bit now though. Lost my apetite though.
Lo pulls himself up on everything now. We have a tele cabinet in the front room with ornaments in. Dh took the glass doors off and I have packed the ornaments away for a little while. Just in case
Where is everyone?

EffiePerine · 03/07/2007 11:36

Back from weekend away, wedding was great . How was yours Rumpel?

DS is developing really quickly atm, now crawling very fast and can turn corners - nothing is safe. Pulling up on sofa. Waving (that was Sunday).

And he said his first recognisable word at the weekend

it was 'Daddy'

princessllama · 03/07/2007 13:19

hi all. not feeling cheery here. had a shocker weekend with lo waking every 45 mins in the night in posh hotel for my brother's wedding. then took 17 hours to get back from aberdeen to london after flights cancelled. lo is refusing to sleep and i'm desperate to sleep. she's been screaming in her cot for an hour with me going in and out. evertime i pick her up it stops then she gets really lively and tries to pull my hair etc. she refused to go down for nap at 9 and then dozed off in the pushchair for 15 minutes when we were out so looks like i won't get any sleep today. am so so tired with the pg. i feel like dh doesn't think it exists now we have 1 child. getting a break is hard work. if people knew about the pg i'd probably get a bit of help but don't want to say til 3 months.
she's down after 1hr 15 of persistance. feeling more positive.
at least we now have the 2nd tooth.

wuzzlefraggle · 03/07/2007 14:59

princess, sounds like a rough night!

lo is having a huge nap at the mo. nothing is safe here anymore either...she crawls like mad and is getting quite fast lol. i cant believe that in 4 months she will be a year already!

question re periods ladies....i'm still breastfeeding, and i had my first period last month, but its late this month (still not here)....does that sound normal? im deff not pregnant (ppphhhew! lol) as ive done a pregnancy test.

EffiePerine · 04/07/2007 08:07

Princcess: we had a v unsettled weekend as well - three different rooms in 3 nights not good for getting DS to sleep! Plus a couple of late nights. He also refused to nap Anyway, since we've been back he's been taking a 2 hr nap in the afternoon (unheard of) and getting to sleep earlier at night, though still waking a lot. I've given up for the time being and brought him to bed with us and just fed him while half asleep . Can't imagine coping on little sleep while pg. Those first few months are a pig, aren't they You feel crap and can't tell anyone about it.
