Hello?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
EffiePerine · 25/06/2007 13:29

Eeyore: sorry to hear about your photos. We keep thinking we must back ours up in case the computer conks out.

Rumpel: happy birthday! (slightly belated)

Gingeme: how did the scan go?

DS fine, getting into everything he shouldn't and still not sleeping (bah!)

gingeme · 25/06/2007 15:40

Hiya ladies. Had my scan today at 12. It was lovely. Only trouble was they wanted to do the nuchal scan and measurements but beany is too small so I have to go back for a second scan on 6th July
Lo's crawling proper now(well still combat) but with a purpose nowHe tried to get to my Mums fire at the weekend so she put her coffee table in front of it the hearth and he just crawled around it! Little monkey.
How are you feeling Samsam? Hows the nausea?

samsmam · 25/06/2007 16:14

Glad the scan went well, good treat you get to see your little bean again soon.
I am ok- nausea not too bad, its mainly as soon as I open my eyes in the morning- I have to get up and eat then I'm ok.
Long way off until my first scan.

LO still not crawling just shuffling sneakily on her bottom. I should be cooking dinner right now. MN is much more interesting!

EffiePerine · 25/06/2007 20:05

Glad the scan was OK Gingeme - and you get another one soon

princessllama · 25/06/2007 20:26

hi all. happy belated birthday rumpel. it's me marthahm. i changed my name because want a bit of anonymity from all the people i've recommended mnet to and old name just too obvious.
would you believe it i'm pregnant. am dreading the comments from my family, they'll all think we were silly and have opinions on the matter. we didn't mean to, it was a one off mistake
however, gradually coming round to the idea, even getting a bit excited about having a brother or sister for lo. not feeling awful about ruining lo's life anymore-think that was just the hormones. they've gone wild wild wild. have to admit to many grumpy outbursts. also will not get my contract again in september and i was really enjoying work.
seem to look v pg already and only 4 weeks like samsmam.
sorry to make those of you who would like to be pg cross by my lack of enthusiasm.
on a cheery note, lo finally has her first tooth . those of you in the know, how long til second one makes an appearance? it looks close, is this going to take another 5 months?

samsmam · 25/06/2007 20:35

Wow princesslama I was wondering if it was someone from October thread! Great news. They say if you don't plan things are always better!

gingeme · 25/06/2007 21:15

Congratulations Princessllama. Thats exactly how our new bean got here 'one off mistake' . Fantastic. Any more takers? EffiePerrin? Rumpel?

Rumpel · 25/06/2007 21:15

WOW - many congratulations PRINCESS - that is fabby news. 3 of you now - who else is lurking? You need to tell us all your estimated due dates please. You can always keep your hand in at work in your line - do some private lectures in the local community. Amber got her second tooth through about 4 days after her first. They are quite big now but no others as yet. I can see her top 4 under the gum but they havent made it to the gum edge yet.

My right hand bears 2 giant blisters after dance class today I wore my vertiginous heels and slid doing a carousel spin and landed on my bum and ouch all at once! Felt as though I had regressed after not attending last week, Oh well.

GINGEME - are your dates wrong or is it just one of those things? Nice to have another scan though. Are you going to go for a 4D one?Is your pussy cat settling in to his new home ok?

SAMSMAM - do you care about what colour you have this time? How was your party?

Hope everyone else is well and LOs are keeping you all entertained.

majormoo · 25/06/2007 21:34

congratulations Princessllama. Glad your scan went well Gingeme.
Oh how exciting for you all! Visited a friend today whose baby was due today. Makes me want to do it all again, but we will be leaving it for a while yet.

I still haven't had a period since having DS though he only has 2 or 3 breastfeeds a day. Has everyone else's returned? sorry if tmi!

Rumpel · 25/06/2007 21:41

Mine came back when Amber was 6 months. Last a whole week now though

OP posts:
gingeme · 25/06/2007 21:41

No Rumpel my dates arent wrong its just too early to do the measurements. I kinda thought this when I got the date. Im only 11 weeks which seemed a little early to me. Yes I got an email from the lady who has our cat. He had a bit of a jumpy weekend but seems to be settling fine
I think a 4D scan would be a bit pricey. Would rather wait to see the real thing in January.

EffiePerine · 25/06/2007 21:56

Congratulations Princessllama Fab news. Ignore the relatives.

DS now has 4 teeth - top two came through a couple of days ago. The bottom ones came through one at a time and there were a few days between.

EffiePerine · 25/06/2007 21:56

btw osteo in Highbury is lovely and does seem to have helped a little (not with the sleep though, boooo)

samsmam · 26/06/2007 06:49

Morning- I'm definitely not sleeping properly, I keep waking up every hour and getting up before LO!

Rumpel- I am ok, party was ok too, it was a bit chilly as it was a garden party, I ended bringing LO home at 9.30pm (mummy let her have her first late night!) DP stayed and came home at midnight- that is a long story.

Not too worried about the colour of this little bean. I think two little girls would be lovely but then a brother would be good too. Not going to find out- I don't think.

EeyoreIsFab · 26/06/2007 08:03

Princessllama - congratulations !

DS's bottom teeth came through 2 months ago, about a week apart. No sign of top ones yet.

gingeme · 26/06/2007 08:50

Morning ladies. Lo is getting more teeth I think. He has 4 two at the top and two at the bottom. Hes dribbling for England and has about 4 poohey nappies a day great when your suffering with morning sickness. Hes crawling realy well now too which Im not so sure if thats a good thing or not.

MaeBee · 26/06/2007 08:57

majormoo - no, 9 months of breastfeeding seems to have kept my period at bay....and im really keen for it to return! not cos im ready for another baby, just hoping my sex drive will increase when it comes back. and ive generally been a bit rundown since the birth, colds take ages to heal etc.

my stupidly mobile lo is all over the place with sleeps and naps, i think cos he's taking some steps and wants to learn to walk. ive started to make him cry by saying NO in a firm but fair voice (!?!) but he's so explorative, you can see the internal battle between his desire to please and his desire to touch the hot tap! its almost religious!

damn, he's just woken after a grand 20 minutes nap. better go.

babyducky · 26/06/2007 15:37

hi all

its bendy, have changed my name.

wow congratulations princessllama!

glad the scan went ok gingeme.

Still no teeth here, loads of dribbling though!!

xxx

Mellin · 26/06/2007 18:49

Congratulations princessl!! Just think, you will get all the sleepless nights, nappies & weaning dramas out of the way quickly. I'm sure your family will be chuffed, dh and I are already getting "so when are you having no.2" from ours!

Is dd the only toothless non-crawling baby on this thread?? I know everything happens in it's own time blah blah but I can't help comparing her to other babies her age and thinking she's a little S.L.O.W! The baby rhyme morning I take her too is the worst for competitive mums. That's SW london for you.

Dumb question from the Aussie - how many school terms are there in the UK? three?

Majorm - my period arrived the day we got back from Australia a couple of weeks ago. Nice welcome back......

gingeme · 26/06/2007 20:45

Oh no Ive just upset my older ds's. Ive just told them Ive re homed our cat. My ds2 (hes 11) was in tears. I feel like a bad Mum now. Feel real guilty. Its for the lo's good as he was scratching them when they were near him. Oh pooh why is it when everything seems to be going so well something s**t turns up?
Sorry rant over now.

Rumpel · 26/06/2007 21:19

Mellin - my LO cannot crawl and is soo not interested either! She HATES being on her tum and always rolls onto her back - she can sit up (bit wobbly), has 2 bottom teeth. She did put weight on her legs today for about 5 seconds I am very happy that she will not be walking too soon. Just enjoy LO for the way they are - as long as they are happy. Amber is a really happy, giggly, contented baby. As far as I am concerned I would much rather that than walking/crawling but not as contented. Maybe your LO is a thinker rather than a doer?

GINGEME - my sympathies re your older boys. It is horrid but I am sure they will have so much fun when they see you that they will get over it pretty quick. And you had to do what is right for your other littlys. They can always get a kitty in their new house?

Often wonder about ms and pooy nappies. I have such a strong sense of smell anyway and when I was pg it was about 50x more sensitive than usual. Had to throw out all my hubbies spray deodorant, no perfume, the leather couch made me boak as did the smell of my pee (it gets really strong when pg doesnt it?) Never mind pooy nappies! Think I will need to invest in those swimming nose pegs - tee hee

Am very broody now - DH carshare has a LO 2 weeks younger than A and his OH is pg again now too! Need to be sensible though as I am still way too overweight and life is manic with move looming. October for us.

Bendyducky - nice name

Rumpel · 26/06/2007 21:21

SAMSMAM - you sound hormonal - are you ok or are things getting on top of you (DH per chance?)Men - they really do your head in sometimes! It is freezing up here tonight - so I am hoping that this weekend the weqather is fab or we will freeze too as the wedding is in their graden in a marquee!

gingeme · 26/06/2007 22:18

You talk such sense Rumple. The boys have our cats brother and sister in their house and a great big bloody Rotweiler! I did suggest they have him when I first started thinking about re homing him but their Dad said no. Guess the guilt factor is just a built in thing with motherhood. Oh well just have to wait and see what they say next time I ring them.

EmilyandLola · 26/06/2007 23:02

Hi all, long time no chat... How is everyone?

Lola's two bottom teeth came through last week, and she's pulling herself up, can sit on her own and get from laying to sitting (even in her cot in the middle of the night) - which by the way is very scary.

She's pulling herself up in her cot and on the sofa, and making attempts to crawl but not getting very far atm.

on the TTC front, (TMI alert) no period for 4 weeks, been BD'ing often, had a negative result tonight, but got another test for the morning, what are the chances?

samsmam · 27/06/2007 05:38

Rumpel- I probably am hormonal, I mean up at this time (5.30am) DH is really excited about the new baby but he just sees that it'll be cheaper this time round because we have most things- I don't think he remembers we still have to live. I am happy about the little bean I just feel a lot of uncertity.

Gingeme- Your boys will come round, have you told them that you keep in contact with the new keeper? Or maybe suggest that you could request some pictures every so often via email? You are a good mum you didn't do it to hurt your boys, you did it to protect LO.

Em- Good to hear from you. So are your AF's regular? Have you actually missed a period? They do say test first thing in the morning as the level of HCG is higher.

Mellin- I have a non-crawling LO she does bum shuffle though and try and pull herself up on everything. We have two top and two bottom teeth, with the top fang ones just going to cut through.

Well long post from me , hope everyone else is ok.
