Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
babyducky · 16/07/2007 17:59

cant see your pics samsmam, glad you had a nice time though.

I really went off choc when i was pregnant!

princessllama · 16/07/2007 19:58

wish we had more teeth. lo seems to be constantly waking through night with teething-we think, or maybe we're just making excuses now have just given in to temptation and given her nurofen. i think she was in pain, put fingers in mouth and had cheeks like red chipmunk. don't what dh will say. just couldn't face it anymore having done 1and half hours of screaming after back from work. shattered.
really irritating, we've all had a major bollocking at work. a woman came in with her 3 year old and her baby and her husband. the 3 year old was fooling around and fell off the treatment bench. obviously we all went into overdrive to check he was ok, which he was, except he bit his lip so there was some blood. the mother rang and complained the next day that we weren't taking enough care-the osteopath should have been more careful, but where on earth were his parents? typically the osteo was my bolshiest student so didn't do what told her and write the incident up in the book so yet another bollocking and guess what her excuse for accident was-'she was looking for her tutor'. funny, she didnt say that at the time what a day.
hope all your lo's sleeping better than mine. gingeme have a lovely time with your boys.
samsmam prob being a bit of a thicky but couldn't access your pics. how did you do it babyducky?
having big craving for rocket salad so hope dh turns up soon fresh from tescos.

babyducky · 16/07/2007 20:27

i couldn't see the pics either princessllama,

sorry 2 hear bout work & your sleepless nights, Kai has been the same recently, been giving him calpol most nights, we think its his teeth, he has only got 1 but feels like another one coming, He is so grumpy at nights & really screams, he has been sleepin in our bed quite a bit too.

gingeme · 16/07/2007 22:23

Why do you feel guilty giving your baby Nurofen if its in pain? Dont you take pain killers if your in pain? Surely its better for you all to get a good nights sleep than to worry about the occasional drop of medicine. I gave Edwrad a dose of Medised in his bottle before his bed time for the past 3 nights. Dont panic if its your last resort Im sure your lo is grateful for a good nights sleep too

samsmam · 17/07/2007 08:40

Try this

samsmam · 17/07/2007 08:41

Sorry some of the photos won't be of any interest but its always good to have a nose!!

babyducky · 17/07/2007 10:05

nice pics samsmam, u both look lovely!

gingeme · 17/07/2007 12:26

Lovely pics sam. You both look lovely. Your little girl is beautiful

EffiePerine · 17/07/2007 12:34

Princessllama: DS still waking LOTS, we've been giveing him nurofen for nasty cold but it seems to make him wake more if possible - perhaps the sweeteners? Medised or Calpol better for us. If she's screaming and drugs stop it, BRING ON THE DRUGS

Hope you pg ladies get lots of sleep.

Photos loos lovely Samsmam

Mellin · 18/07/2007 09:27

Rumpel - good luck with the move. We moved 6 weeks before dd was born and it wasn't a time I look back on fondly. Must be even harder with a baby to entertain between unpacking boxes and getting organised. It will be worth the pain it in the end when you are in your lovely new house.

Samsmam - lovely photos!

Sympathies to all those with teething woes. We finally have evidence of teeth here after what seems like weeks of grumpiness. Nina's bottom 2 teeth have just broken through the gum. Sleeping has gotten marginally better since the fangs have appeared but will no doubt go to pot again once the next lot of teeth start moving!

So does anyone else have an addiction to facebook? I joined recently and it is slowly sucking me in. Lots of my friends in Oz use it so it is a good way to catch up. I guess it's the lazy person's (me!) way of having a website.

samsmam · 18/07/2007 12:31

Yes I'm an addict to facebook! When I announce that I'm pg I might just do it on there and see how fast news travels!!!

gingeme · 18/07/2007 21:15

Facebook?

EffiePerine · 19/07/2007 11:18

I'm on facebook as well - my email is personalnotbusiness at gmail dot com if you're interested in having a look... (or being my friend as I look like a bit of a loser atm )

samsmam · 19/07/2007 15:37

Gingeme- Facebook is like a network where you have a profile page and you can write messages on peoples pages, draw graffiti (if you're artistic!) and generally nose at what people are up to. I think there is a lot more to it but that is the basics- am I correct EP?

Facebook

EffiePerine · 19/07/2007 16:24

a VERY good way to waste time (as if I needed another!)

babyducky · 19/07/2007 17:08

im on facebook, very addictive!
how do i find u on there then ep & samsmam?
x

EffiePerine · 19/07/2007 21:32

I think if you search on my email address (given below) you should find me

gingeme · 19/07/2007 23:14

No better stay away then. mn is a bad enough addiction for me for now Ive just watched the Will Smith film In pursuit of happiness and cried my eyes out. Brilliant film goodnight x

babyducky · 20/07/2007 11:04

I cant find you on there EP!

I have got that film ginge, havent watched it yet though, any good? I know I will cry my eyes out too!

Kai has got 2 teeth now!

Have been taking him to the park near my mums house, he really loves the swings! But when we try to take him back out he cries & screams & grips really tightly onto the bar, its so sad! As we were walking out the park he was looking back at the swing & really crying!

Hope everyone is ok,
have a good weekend all x

gingeme · 20/07/2007 14:37

Aw you wicked Mummy you not letting your baby go on the swings
Yes its a brill film. A real change from Will blowing stuff up and playing a hard nut. Its based on a real life story. Yes you probably will cry but its tears of joy.....
Lo still isnt sure of the swings but he does smile a bit and wiggle his legs.

Mellin · 20/07/2007 15:14

BD - you can add EP's email address into your own email address book and then look it up that way. That's how I did it anyway. Tis very addictive, I love looking at everyone's photos!

samsmam · 23/07/2007 17:39

It has been really quiet on here.

Not much to report here, not sure if I mentioned that LO was now crawling, clapping and saying nan, nan, nan no sign of mum, mum, mum.
She is also pulling herself up on everything even if it moves then she falls with it.
We put the stair gates up now- very annoying things but hey, essential if you don't want baby to acrobat downstairs!

Does anyone have a clingy baby, LO seems in the last week to be just clinging to my legs.

gingeme · 23/07/2007 18:59

Hi samsam how are you? Yes Edward is very clingy at the moment. Hes cutting more teeth. Had us up at 4am till 5.30am this morning. Ive been like a zombie today.Lo is also saying ma ma ma and da da da and Im pretty sure he says 'Bob' .
Hes up on EVERYTHING too. You cant stand still with out him climbing up your legs. He reminds me of a kitten we once had that uesd to claw his way up our bodies (ouch!)
Im 15 weeks pg now and feeling a bit better on the sickness front thank goodness. Getting booby juice already. I have realy sensative boobs stiil too.
Anyway hope your all well and not getting too down because of the weather.

EffiePerine · 23/07/2007 20:18

Gingeme and Samsmam: hope you're feeling OK and not too tired.

DS also being grumpy and clingy - must be a Stage . He yelled when I left for work this morning but was apparently v happy to see our childminder and came back nice and tired . In bed now so we'll see how he sleeps.

wuzzlefraggle · 24/07/2007 16:10

Anna is such a little monkey now! lol, crawling, pulling herself up, 2 teeth and another 2 trying to pop through, babbling all the time and saying mama. dada and anna. gosh, it goes so fast!
