He'll be a stone next time he's weighed
That sounds huge
They do sound similar (tho obviously T is smaller), not chubby, but long legs. His newborn vests are still baggy, but he can't stretch his legs in the sleep suits!

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 20:34

"He'll be a stone next time he's weighed "
I predict, obviously
It's not a rule!

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 20:35

don't think I'd ever get a job in sales!!

EllieK · 06/06/2007 20:42

you're right, rubbish sales job

evening all

ellie, did you get my e-mail?

CD - at pushchair! Hope you're feeling better now.

Octo - good to see ya lady!

Liath - ooo, that glass of wine sounds good!

Katy - my T is a porker too. Last week he was 11lb1oz, he'd put on 1lb1oz in a week. Going to take him to clinic tomorrow because I just want to see how much the little piggy has grown !!!

Also getting our fair share of 10min naps here too!! Ahhh!! Although today he slept for 3 hours straight, I kept checking him because I thought something must be wrong

elkiedee · 06/06/2007 21:22

Thanks for the messages. I've been ok today, just a lot of the day was taken up with going to the first session of a postnatal class. Because of what happened yesterday I was advised by mum dad and dp to get a taxi there instead of lugging the buggy on and off the buses. The problem is that means taking the car seat which I can't really carry comfortably so I can't go anywhere else en route. Also, the journey home took more than twice as long as the journey there.

Class was fun, a chance to meet other new mums (mostly) in the same boat, several of them like me had missed out on doing an NCT antenatal class and thought this would at least be something.

When I got back Danny was crying inconsolably, when changing, feeding, cuddling all failed thankfully a 30+ mins walk succeeded for a while, he's now gone to sleep and we have to wake him up again to feed him, sigh...

Sexonknackeredlegs · 06/06/2007 21:24

Hi ladies, on the sleep front, K is great in the morning, but she was awake from 1.30 today until 8.00 p.m.! She had 3 bottles during then, and was fortunately pretty happy, but totally knackered by the end of the day. Just hope she sleeps like a log again tonight.

Does anyone else hate monitors? Every little noise makes me feel edgy!

Hi Eca!

WestCountryLass · 06/06/2007 21:29

Octo, see you at the fountain, i've got a double buggy and wear glasses, you will probably recognise me as I will be chasing my nearly 3 year old DD round who will probably be trying to strip off and dive in!

oooggs · 06/06/2007 21:30

Not using monitors this time as the childrens bedrooms are on the same level as lounge so no need. When we go back to our bedrrom (currently in with dt's) they are above us so can hear everything.

eca · 06/06/2007 21:35

hi SOKL - ooo, our monitor is currently picking up our neighbours toddler having what only can be described as night terrors . Poor little love, it sounds awful.

Elkie - glad you had a better day and met some other mummies

hi oooggs and wcl

oooggs · 06/06/2007 22:00

hi eca

off to bed now

octo · 06/06/2007 22:01

great wcl - see you tomorrow

Hello to everyone else - hope all is well.

Ernie now 12 lbs 7 oz - growing out of 0-3 month stuff! He is really smiling now which is lovely - back to simply staring at him all the time...

Feeling a it sleep deprived and like have mastered sleep room-room shuffling technique now - used to shuffle side to side and kept bumping into ernies light switch and turning it on which wasn;t good - but now have learnt to shuffle in a forward/backward motion which is better! also back to crawling up the stairs ... ds2 slept through the night at 11 weeks ....

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:04

octo
you were supposed to say Ernie was bigger than Joe

OP posts:
octo · 06/06/2007 22:14

Joe sounds like he is a giant milk monster!

Does nobody else shuffle round their house for feeds? Thought about moving him back in with us but he seems to like it in his room and don't want tp upset him!

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:22

Joe's still in with me so I don't have to shuffle, tho I am now being more careful to put him in crib after feeds as he fell out of bed

OP posts:
octo · 06/06/2007 22:26

A crapola mummy moment

octo · 06/06/2007 22:27

nighty night ... will be thinking of you all at 4am [tired emoticon]

Ellie - please ask the site people to make a tired/sleep deprived emoticon!

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:29

why me?
night oh 8legged one

that shuffle must be blardy tricky with so many legs

OP posts:
EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:31

and yes, a completely crapola mummy moment

had to laugh tho, he obviously wasn't hurt, didn't cry properly, just kept wobbling his bottom lip and doing his sheep's bleet that he does when he's annoyed

did mean we were awake at 5.30 but i guess i can't blame him for waking up when he fell on the floor

OP posts:
octo · 06/06/2007 22:36

oh the bottom lip quiver - melts your heart

Am def going now - btw if I had 8 arms/legs life would be a complete doddle! In fact if they could stretch like Elastagirl then I could lie in bed and feed him in his nursery, while changing his nappy, windng him, doing the ironing, having a bath, cleaning the bathroom, putting on make up and loading the dishwasher Now thats what you call multi-tasking

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:37

ellie, have e-mailed back. Looks like we get the first leg of the Ellie and Joe show

octo - no shuffling here, T is in the moses basket by the bed and that weems too far to go and get him in the middle of the night

ok, off to bed. dh is threatening me with a 9pm curfew on mn. 2 late nights in a row.

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:41

EllieK · 06/06/2007 22:51
