oooggs · 06/06/2007 11:42

bless her Ange

Zazas - how do you do it??

DS1 at preschool today so peaceful here as dh at work too

Was going to photograph some ebay stuff but camera broken. Tesco delivery between 12-2, hope it is sooner rather than later cos I am starving

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:49

Minx indeed - bloomin' girls ....

Right, going to go & put her in the conservatory cos I have HAD ENOUGH ....

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:51

Have put her on the girls' drawing table in the Conservatory, in her car seat, looking out of the window with the door shut so I can bearly hear her. Is that really bad!!?

oooggs · 06/06/2007 12:06

only bad dippy if she is going to 'cook'

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 12:15

Nope, opened some windows & it's fairly cool here today!

AngeG · 06/06/2007 12:24

No Dippy not bad at all...as long as oooggs says she doesn't cook

Just taken Izzy to pick up J from pre-school in the car and she's gone to sleep...yeahI've carried her car seat in very carefully and am not letting J make any noise bless him

oooggs · 06/06/2007 12:46

It is really hot down here today, she would cook in our conservatory

Hurrah Ange Izzy is asleep, my oldest J is at preschool all day so I am whizzing around, doing bathroom at the mo and have laid carpet in the waredrobes cos the fitters didn't do that, just left the remnants.

Still waiting for Tesco - still starving

octo · 06/06/2007 12:50

quick post - wcl are we meeting up tomorrow?
if don't hear from you will assume not - will check on mn and email later xxx

WestCountryLass · 06/06/2007 13:16

hi Octo, posted yesterday to find out what time? I can get there by 9.30 after school run, what time suits you?

Off out now so will check this evening

Bramshott · 06/06/2007 13:34

Morning (afternoon!) all!

Well we had the best night yet last night (sorry to all who didn't!) - went down at 7.30, woken to feed at 10.30, back down till 6.00, then down again till 9.00 by which time I was up, showered, breakfasted etc! We were late for nursery, but who cares! Let's hope it's the start of things to come - particularly the evening stretch.

Sympathies Ange & Dippy - O is definitely a bit like that in the daytime - prefers to nap in 10-20 min bursts, BUT, today she went off in the car at 12.15 when we went to get N from nursery, then stirred and cried at 12.30, then again at 12.45, so I thought, sod this I'm going to eat my lunch before feeding you, and rocked her back to sleep in the carseat and IT WORKED!! Still sleeping now. Previously I just picked her up and fed her when she woke crying from a sleep, but maybe that wasn't the problem and I was just forcing food on the poor mite!

Mammyjo - after being so reassuring to you yesterday about F's weight gain, I went to the clinic this am and O seems to have put on 1oz in the last week and a day . Different scales though, and she has been going through the night so I am trying not to worry but it's easier said than done isn't it!

Elkie - how scary for you! Hope you are okay now.

Katy - how are you feeling today after the car crash?

Better go - magic sleep time seems to be over

Emmymummy · 06/06/2007 14:13

oooohhh I can so sympathise with not having a moment to yourself during the day due to the LOs not sleeping for more than 10 mins. S is totally doing my head in and, like Dippy, I have abandoned her in her cot for a little while so I can eat, put the shopping away and hang out some washing. Gosh what an exciting life I lead! I keep hearing her hooting and just as I get up to retrieve her, she stops again. Am going to string it out for a few more mins so I can drink a coffee and eat some of this yummy chocolate bar I treated myself to. Bad mummy, but I just need a few minutes peace.

Last night wasn't quite as bad, but was still up 3 times (I think), with dh feeding her again at 6am and her not settling back to sleep. She's like that every morning - i.e. won't go back to sleep after about 6am. Not sure what to do other than just leaving her to scream, but not keen on that idea...maybe it'll get better as she gets older

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 14:38

I'm fine thanks bramshott, T is as normal and my shoulder pain has almost gone after shower.
been to see HV & i asked if there was any possibilty of brain damage. She said we'd know as he'd be screaming all the time or completely dazed. Didn't think it was likely but nice to have it confirmed.
Pleased to hear about your good night,
i'm also feeling that i can't get a moment to myself, i'm lucky that he tends to have a short nap in the morning and sometimes a longer one in the afternoon or evening but they're so unpredictable. in between, he might fall asleep for 5 mins, so it normally takes about half an hour before I can convince myself he's nt just about to wake!

EllieK · 06/06/2007 17:22

just done the hoovering whilst giggling to myself ........

runny saying about visiting Wales made me think, Joe and I could tour the country, visiting April ladies, the Ellie & Joe show

Hello ladies

The grizzler is finally asleep! He seems to fight sleep during the day, gets himself so upset. We've had a fair old screaming session this afternoon but he's now lieing in the middle of my bed looking like a little angel. Weirdly he only does this in daytime - at night he will go back to sleep after a feed. I know this is lucky

Elkie - glad you're okay, sounded scary.

CD - I helped a lady in the park with one of those Phil and Teds doubles. She was kind of perched on end feeding toddler fruit (other side empty and it toppled over. Thankfully they were both okay but the LO was screaming from fright. Hope you've located some chocolate since this morning.

Ellie - have you caught any rodents yet? my FIL was making me squirm at weekend talking about the giant mice they saw in their garden trying to get into bird feeders. Had mice in house when I was a student, horrid things. My housemate used to make me look under her bed before she went to sleep [shuddering emoticom]

LesleyR · 06/06/2007 17:26

x post Ellie

lol at ellie & joe show. i'm imagining one of those those plastic pyramid signs that driving scools have on top of your car with "Ellie & Joe" and your faces on it

off to make tea while grizzler sleeps on.

runnyhabbit · 06/06/2007 18:02

pmsl at the ellie & joe show

oooggs · 06/06/2007 18:09

love it Ellie & Joe show, you would have to sell tickets to cover the petrol

octo · 06/06/2007 18:59

Another quick message!

Yes - 9.30ish am at the fountain - I have brown bobbed hair and a small baby in a grey 3 wheeler! And its Vicki btw! Need to get some pressies - so many birthdays atm - apart from that am pretty easy about pottering about. Like going to Soho cafe for lunch so can have big salad bowl with chips from burger king! yummy!!!

Can anyone else meet up?

My mobile is 07771 884 731 - I will leave Marshfield at 9am so should be there at 9.30 but may be a bit later if need to squeeze in a feed - but no later than 9.45.

Will check mn later to see this is okay

Octo xx

Hi ladies.

CD, hope you have got over the shock of the pushchair incident. How frightening, and also unbelievable that no one stopped to help you. Hope P lets you have a bit of peace. xx

Ooogs, what a great night for you. Hope they do the same for you tonight and you too can relax.

Zaza's congrats on the news re your company. How exciting.

GMM, lovely to see you, and glad all is well.

Katy, really glad all is ok after your car crash.

Big waves to everyone else, as I have fogotten everything else.

Had a hectic day with the 2 monkeys. B has gym in the morning, and then we have to rush home, have lunch and then go to swimming lessons. It was mad enough before K came on the scene! Made worse today by the fact that just before swimming started K filled her nappy, and B announced she needed a poo! Arse wiping galore!

Anyway, hope everyone has had good and sunny days, and will catch up later on. xx

octo · 06/06/2007 19:11

Katy - we were all fine apart from the whiplash - we did pursue personal injury from the other party - which I know sounds a bit mean - but its the insurers not the person that pays - we got over £3k which was very useful. I have to say that dealing with the insurance company to sort out a lease car, get ours assessed and get the write off money so could buy a new car was very stressful - think it was just our insurers - wankers - Lloyds tsb btw!

octo · 06/06/2007 19:18

sorry for w word!

liath · 06/06/2007 19:32

On my second glass of wine already - ds is another one who hasn't napped for more than 10 minutes and dd appears to have entered the 2007 Whinge for Scotland Competition.

However, she is in bed now, ds is perched on my shoulder and this is a very nice white wine .

CD, that sounds horrible, no more accidents on this thread now we've had three please.

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 20:20

Glad to hear it octo
My neck and shoulders are feeling 100 times better today (after a shower) so I'm really hoping I've escaped, although you say it can take a few days to develop? Although how will I know it's not caused by carting around the incredibly chubby baby - he was weighed today and is 9lb15! And nasty mummy is still squeezing him into newborn vests!

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 20:20

Can I just point out that I did have a shower yesterday as well. I didn't just smell

EllieK · 06/06/2007 20:28

Joe was weighed today too, 13lb 7.5oz

5lbs in not quite 8 weeks
