Morning all

Elkie How scary for you. Take care x

Katy Make sure you get yourself checked out properly. I went into the back of a van when J was 11mths (thought I'd put the handbrake on - obv hadn't) in traffic. No real damage done, but really shocked me.

ellie lol at Matthews conversation and you're more than welcome to visit Wales when M is on hols (although think it might be a bit of a trek) My gp live in Woodbridge, so I know its a fair way.

As for nappies - I'm in the disposable camp I do feel a bit guilty about it. But will be using reusebale pants for J when we start potty training, prob this summer. We are using Tesco ones, but have used Huggies cos they seem to fit a little bit better. Getting W weighed tomorrow - he's nearly out of 0-3 stuff already More so in length though. Which isn't suprising as me and dh are both tall!

V proud of myself - went shopping with J and W and my mum in Cardiff - and bf W in open air, in the main street!

Weather is v good here and J is spending the day with his nana. Going to visit work with W this afternoon. First time I've seen them since starting ml.

W is now sleeping, so going to go have a shower and make myself presentable

Take care all
x

Morning again!! Just given myself the shock of my life ...... walking to Pre-School, DD's 2 & 3 in the Phil & Teds, DD1 walking. DD1 was messing around,so I turned round to tell her off, let go of the pram and it toppled into the road!!!!! DD2 was screaming her head off, DD1 was really distressed. It was awful, I felt terrible. Worst of all, cars were just driving passed me, moving out and around me - NO ONE stopped to help!!!! In the end, a guy who lives opposite came out of his house & was absolutely lovely - he picked up the pram & made sure we were all ok, bless him. I carried onto Pre-School & dropped DD1 off, came home and had a good sob ...... DD2 has a big lump on her head, but is fine (SIL will LOVE that - as she's a FLower Girl for her Wedding on Sat ) and DD3 slept through the whole incident!!

Goodness me ........

runnyhabbit · 06/06/2007 10:34

oh CD - think you need some chocolate
and big hug ((hug))

runnyhabbit · 06/06/2007 10:36

arghh...think I've just got my period.Didn't think you got them while bf

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 10:36

oh CD
glad you are all ok apart from dd2's bump - is she ok now? Hope you've recovered
We are an accident-prone lot this week

runnyhabbit · 06/06/2007 10:38

then again, having a period might explain the arguments with dh..

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 10:39

Aw, thanks guys - I am still a bit shaken up tbh. Chocolate would be good - unfortunately, there's none in the house!!

Sadly runny, it is quite possible to get your period while BF -

Sexonknackeredlegs · 06/06/2007 10:45

Morning all.

Elkie, how frightening for you. Hope you are ok hun.

Pesha, B who turned 4 2 weeks ago has only been dry at night for 3 months I think. She drinks massive amounts and sleeps like a log. We just went for it one night and after a few wet nights we have had none. We also have the issue of not wiping after poo. I am hoping over the next few months we can get her trained, as she is going to school in September.

B's teacher from her big school visited her at preschool yesterday which went well. They also do home visits which is fab.

Hope everyone is ok. Feel good today, as after her 7.00 p.m. bottle she slept until 7.00 a.m.

Must fly - off to Gym Tots. xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 10:51

Glad K is sleeping so well SOKL - P is not doing so badly - 7pm til about 4.30am most nights. She is being a PITA in the mornings though - These used to be the only times I had to myself, but P spends all more crying & fussing & not settling - So now I don't get any time to myself at all. Getting me down a bit, but trying to remain positive ......

geordiemacminx · 06/06/2007 10:52

I'm here ladies, nice of you to ask after me SOKL.... by the time I catch up with everything I either have nothing constructive to say, have forgotten what I wanted to say or have to dash of to feed!

At mums at the moment... havent seen Charlie for the entire duration as she hogs him!!

AngeG · 06/06/2007 10:59

Hi all

Elkie - how scary glad the tests came back ok.

Dippy omg, glad you're all ok. Sending you chocolate covered hugs

Runny - as dippy said you can get period whilst BF I did

I was taking the mini pill, bleeding for a few days then stopping for a few days then starting again a right pita. Spoke to dr who told me that can happen with the mini pill If you're gonna bleed all the time so can't have sex what's the bloody point of taking it...so I stopped and haven't bled since only been 2wks though.

Katy lol at being a nosy neighbour xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:01

Hi GMM! Good to "see" you - bit at your mum "hogging" Charlie - wish my parents / in-laws would even take a passing interest (although they're bound to be all over P on Sat at SIL's Wedding - "keeping up appearances" and "novelty newborn" are phrases that instantly spring to mind )

Sorry - I really am "wallowing" today aren't I!!?

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:03

Hi ange! Thank you for the choclately hugs - could you send me ones laced with sedative that I could pass onto my baby, please!!?

AngeG · 06/06/2007 11:10

tell me about it Izzy sleeps in 10 min naps at the moment. It's doing my head in...I can't get anything done. She wants to be cuddled all the time.

oooggs · 06/06/2007 11:13

Dippy - hope you are ok - what a shock
Pesha - bless you ds, school in Sept. James is 4 in Dec so another year yet

Well get this, a fluke......

fed dt's at 6.30pm, in cot asleep by 7.30pm. Jack wakes for feed at 3.30am downs 6oz then sleeps til 7.30am. Erin wakes at 6.30am downs 6oz then back to sleep.

I had a terrible night, kept waking and checking they were still breathing

Katy44 · 06/06/2007 11:21

Wow oooggs, what a good night (well not for you, obviously )

zazas · 06/06/2007 11:23

CapDip - hope you have got over the shock? I had something similar happen to me when DD was 3 and DS 3 weeks - left them on the sidewalk to look for an office (for just a mini moment I hasten to add) and DD who was sitting on the top of the pram (not suggested by the way!) toppled the whole thing over into the road. Turned around and there is my newborn baby lying in the gutter - meanwhile the workmen across the road all dropped tools and stared but did not rush to help me. Kids OK - me a wreck though so I have sympathy for you.

We have just had some exciting news - our small graphic design business has just made it on to front page of Design Weekly for a job we have recently done. DP and I are so excited as we work so many nights trying to keep on top and to finally see some reward (maybe financial next would be good ) is fantastic. Sorry just had to tell someone!

S slept 7 hours straight last night which meant I got 4 hours in a row - wow - first time in 6 weeks - light at end of tunnel and all that!

Are meant to be doing accounts at the moment so better get off mumsnet...just had coffee and cake too - spoiling myself here . S asleep in front of running washing machine and dryer - works a treat.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:25

Nice one Jack & Erin - Blessy ou Oooogs, {{{{hugs}}}}

Glad it is not just me, Ange - she is driving me up the wall ......

She's going again ......

weeonion · 06/06/2007 11:28

zazas - congrats and well done. my predecesor at workk used to susribe to that journal so i used to check it out. may the pennies start flowing now!!

AngeG · 06/06/2007 11:28

Fantastic night for the dts ooogggs, shame about your night

Zazas - well done you. It's such hard work running your own business especially on little sleep

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 06/06/2007 11:28

GREAT STUFF about your business Zazas! > You must be buzzing ....

Have tried P in front of washing machine / drier / hoover / hairdrier; but she just seems to think it's amusing for mummy to have no time to do a bloomin' thing ......

AngeG · 06/06/2007 11:32

Izzy in her bouncy chair reasonably happy for a change although as I type she's starting to whinge. Think I'm gonna have to become tough mummy I know I'm much softer with her than I was with Jake.

Dippy - P is quite a bit younger than Izzy. Hope they both grow out of it soon.

Just realised that I can't just write the first letter or Izzy's name because it looks like (I as in me) did something rather than Izzy.Sorry for that pointless piece of information

zazas · 06/06/2007 11:34

I am buzzing thanks - but that could be the 2 cups of coffee!

LOL at you Ogggs

Little S had awoken - so much for the washing machine thing - lasted all of 8 minutes - oh well wrote a couple of posts and an email - take what I can get!!!

I don't know if anyone else finds this but if I use the sling she headbutts me like a little lamb trying to get at my milk and she has just fed!!! Quite cute though but not very practical!

AngeG · 06/06/2007 11:35

Only appliance that worked for Izzy is that VAX and I don't need to clean my carpets that often. Hoover and others make no difference at all, except if I'm in a different room I can't hear her crying
Not even our air conditioning noise makes a difference.

AngeG · 06/06/2007 11:38

Just went to tslk to Izzy cos she was crying and she stopped straight away and smiled at me, then started again as soon as I walked away...little minx
