chasing sq's my dd2 does that too, funny how in our case at least, one is a climber and the other one isn't

I am feeling ok at the mo Flame, no puke or squits here so far (sorry TMI everyone) dh is having tomorrow off work too, as is still poorly hope he is feeling better by then? We've had a heated discussion about our finances this afternoon and his constant accusation re me spending them, when I'm not! Seems our major culprit is petrol at the mo, nearly £300 a month which is mainly him going to and from work during the week, although we both go at weekends, but in different vehciles cause of the kids and kit we need...and us going up to fetch ss twice a month as well We can't knock this expense on the head though.....(also all the bills going up has not helped)
have thought about getting a non self employeed job to help, but dd2's nursery fees alone would make it impossible unless it was another management level work your tits off job and even then about a thousand a month would go on childcare for the two of them, plus more childcare when we can't get ss from school too.....so anyway outcome of it is for now that we're sticking as we are and scraping by and hoping that our bookings get better later in the year!

So sorry to have a whine at you all, thanks for listening.

Have been to gym and pounded it out of me, feel a bit better for it!! although knackered as havent been for a few weeks

ChasingSquirrels · 04/06/2007 21:10

ummm ds1 wasn't a climber either, I am unprepared. Hope you don't get the V&D. What do you do? Hope it picks up for you anyway.

Frizbe · 04/06/2007 21:21

ah we do this www.shardslrp.combut dh is also a builder, so technically we should be able to stay afloat between us......u know sometimes things just get a bit argh!

mustrunmore · 04/06/2007 21:36

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/06/2007 21:51

for all of your news Frizbe - hope things pick up for you soon, and that dh feels better tomorrow.

Have you got lots of orders thanks to your radio ad flame?

Another mud fan here Yeahbut. Unfortunately she decided to bring in a saucepan full of it this afternoon .

Had reflexology this evening - was VERY relaxing.

ChasingSquirrels · 04/06/2007 21:58

well I wasn't expecting that! (how could I have been - lol), looks interesting though.

Frizbe · 04/06/2007 22:09

Frizbe · 04/06/2007 22:14

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/06/2007 22:16

Nah - if it wasn't a hit in the eighties or played on magic radio then I don't stand a chance .

Frizbe · 04/06/2007 22:47

Oh what are you like!!!!

Flame · 04/06/2007 22:59

Will forgive you Friz for money worries.

Orders are mainly MN... not seen much difference from the ad. I have an ad going in the school newsletter this week though, and the head is currently working here and Norwich (I think) and she has said she'll shove it in their newsletter too

Mika for you CSWS

Yay for tickets MRM.

Morning everyone,

Not been on for a few days because I have been (and still am) a little under the weather - literally! I burnt myself pretty badly on Sunday when we were out. Totally forgot to suncream up and, of course, badly burnt my back and shoulders. No bugger else did but then I have fair skin so it's my own fault. Felt terrible that night, tossing, turing, feeling dizzy and sick. I now have tonsilitis to top it off!

Also, ds poo'd in his nappy I'm guessing at the beginning of his nap yesterday which leaked into the edge of the nappy and hence has made an awful mess of the side of his leg. He was nappy free for most of yesterday afternoon (he managed to eat a piece of poo when he disappeared and crapped in the hallway ) and he has been nappy free this morning soI seem to be following him around with babywipes cleaning up after him!! He is napping again at the moment.

Frizbe · 05/06/2007 10:40

Oh no Chloe very sorry you got sunburnt, I know what its like, I can still remember the last horrible incident when I did that at Skegness about 4 years ago on a day trip. I was in agony (cloudy day didn't spot the sun potential at all, until the cloud cleared and there was no where to hide) I spent the whole night feeling very sick, have been extra vigilant with sun cream since though nothing under factor 30 for me.

Flame to be honest I never found 'outside' advertising got much revenue either, mums n babies are defo best targeted thru specialist selling, ie mumsnet, internet, the very odd mother n baby mag. Its an interesting market dynamic.

Feeling better about it all today, now that we've both slept on it, dh is still ill though hope he's better for tomorrow, we need him to get back to work, he's not being paid for time off, obviously.....bah!

mustrunmore · 05/06/2007 11:25

Eugh.. sunburn The worst pain, possibly only second to a tooth abcess. Luckily I dont go in the sun very much! I usually go pink/red/beetroot, although my one and only superb tan was in Mexico, and it looked great. I think I should've been born into a different genetic background!

Why doesnt anyone want to come and get my free telly? Its driving me mad in the middle of the front room. And why cant I get on freecycle now? Arggh! csws, you'll have to join the Haringey one and advertise it for me!

Well, climbing boy here managed to fall out of the highchair today No serious injuries.

Went to the dentist; all ok, except we need to do ds1's back one a bit better. If we can pin him down long enough!

Im shocked that you dont love Mika csws Best thing ever ever ever And very good for running to. Friz, its in Brixton (lodger alerted me to new dates added!). Am going with lodger if he hasnt pissed me off by then (December). It's be nice for dh to come, but the boys dont know lodger well enough to to the whole bedtime routine with him etc, and dh doesnt like Mika that much anyway Mind you, he said that about Shakira, then I forced him to go, and he enjoyed it. But lodger has a car

My Mum has a 4 month reprieve, but after that if there's no improvement, she has to have a knee replacement. Eeek.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/06/2007 13:21

Err, I think you'll find that gall stone attacks are right up there on the pain threshold mrm.

Knee replacement not so bad - fil had one and has been much better since.

Chloe55 · 05/06/2007 13:37

Out of interest - how good are you all at brushing your dc's teeth? I'm a bit crap - I attempt to do them myself, then let ds take over but I only manage to more or less get the brush in and swish it about for a few seconds before we get hysteria, then I give up.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/06/2007 13:42

I NEVER brush dd's teeth, as she simply won't let me. I give her one of those brushes that they can chew on, with a bit of toothpaste on it, and most evenings she'll have a bit of a munch. Of course there are still only 4 full teeth (plus 2 on way), so it's not such a major issue for us yet.

Flame · 05/06/2007 15:46

I do it when I remember.

for knee replacement.

Adding in kidney stone to the pain equation - I'd take childbirth any day!

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 05/06/2007 17:44

Ds2 doesnt get his teeth brushed as such, he just chews his brush and I get the occasional swipe round if he sits still .

Ds1 would add 'being bitten on the bare bum by a baby' to the list of extreme pain, after events of an hour ago. Teeth marks remain.

He's done a felt tip montage of all the things to remind our friends of their time in England. So, we have... a bus, a swimming pool, a banana to remind them to eat, ds2 being Mr Tickle, a flower, snow, trousers, a castle, a road, and some hair. Hmm.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/06/2007 18:39

Oh yes - meant to say that you have to get your friend an 'I [heart] London' hat, and a plastic Union Jack flag.

Frizbe · 05/06/2007 18:40

MRM and ouch!! dd1 says ouch too whilst giggling.

so I'm a bad mum cause although I've bathed and just bedded dd2 I forgot her teeth, oopse I usually brush them though.

Last time you'll see me on here tonight, as I'm off to watch, Apprentice, Gok and Gordon, then bed!! last two have to be watched upstairs as no Chanel 4 downstairs thanks to sky.....

dh still ill......
