Send me your email address amiable and I'll send out the roundup (flamesparrow at gmail dot com)

Jas - you followed my train of thought there!!!

Wedding photographers... mine was cheap, but in Bournemouth so not much use to you.

Jas · 21/06/2007 14:56

Amiable - if you are free on Sunday, mrm and I will be at that soft play place we met at last year (wacky warehouse?) Hope it goes ok at the hospital.

As I drink my 6th cup of tea of the day, I was wondering if mrm is still doing the 7 items diet? Did it work?

csws - any caterers found yet?

Frizbe · 21/06/2007 15:04

Can recommend a good Derbyshire Wedding Photog for you Aimiable, but reckon your too far away?

Phoenix for your celing, hope its fixed very soon.

Flame he was lurking over my shoulder

Jas, hurrah for getting tea bags, but at woman collapsing re coil? shock type thing??

Dame boo re leak, we had one a few weeks ago, glad he found the gas leak for you though, phew.

Hello to everyone else, we've done soft play today, glad we did cause its perked dd2 up no end, and now she's gone for a nap, think she needed a good slide to remind her life can be fun she even found herself two nice boys to take her round the area, as dd1 was too busy playing with some other kids!

Chloe55 · 21/06/2007 15:19

OMG PG, I would be devastated!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 15:46

It was Clown Town Jas/Amiable.

Yes, do at mine is still on for 4th Aug.
My photographer wasn't as much as your quote, but was 6.5 yrs ago, so could be now. When is the wedding? Hub2dee might consider if you don't mind not prof prof, but he won't commit to far in advance in case he flees country!

So will dd be 'good as new' once her brace is off?

No caterer as yet Jas - couple that I'm following up on, but otherwise I'm watching a set of catering sized pans on e-bay . Actually, you can answer a q for me as a veggie - if I did a veg crumble, what veggies would you expect/like/want in it? (mrm can answer that too tonight please).

dd developing a cold here - explains waking in night. Hope it's not going to be another bad/long lasting one.

Chloe55 · 21/06/2007 16:29

That christening dress is sooooooooo pretty CSWS

We are getting so much gried from the in-laws for still not having gotten ds christened yet. I blame dh

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 17:04

Is anyone about - need opinions NOW

old
new

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 17:15

New (didn't we decide that the other day?).

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 17:31

lol - it was opinions on what we think of the new and if anything needed changing. But tis too late now, he's changing it all over as we speak (type).

Any new thread title suggestions? Its getting hard to add again

Frizbe · 21/06/2007 17:49

Defo new Flame

CSWS it is the Sat at your's isn't it? 3rd?? can't do the 4th have to be at B/SIL's on the sunday.

Jas · 21/06/2007 17:50

Thanks csws for the CLown town reminder. Now I know what to look for.

Veg crumble...either lots of root veg (wrong season) or peppers, courgette, onion, mushroom, tomato type stuff. I also put some beans in it if I make it.(It is very nice with walnuts in the crumble)

How about

Feb 06 - email Flame if you are a Feb mum and want an update!

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 17:52

Ooh Feb 06 - Roundups now started

Frizbe · 21/06/2007 17:53

jeez not another new thread, how much do we natter away this weekend ladies btw, so's u don't miss me too much just had a storm, have you got it Phoenix?

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 17:54

more shards stuff?

(It is shards isn't it??)

Phoenix · 21/06/2007 17:57

Right so for anyone who's still interested in my disaster of a house:-

There was a bubble in the ceiling last night after they had removed the flat roof of the dorma window and let all the water come into the house. So when we went up to bed more cracks had appeared in a perfect neat square, so obviously the outline of a plaster board, as well as some cracks around the bubble (it was still dripping at this time). I kept saying "that ceiling's gonna come down" but dh kept saying "no it won't just go to sleep and don't worry" so i did. Next thing the ceiling lands on our legs and it 1.10am. We could have cried

We're all at my mums now and this is where we're staying until its done cos i'm sick of it. Dh has rung insurance company and we're covered so we've asked the bloke that's doing our attic to do us a quote and hopefully we'll get sorted soon. My parents go on holiday for a week on Saturday morning too so it won't be like i'm living with them iykwim

Right i'd better go and rescue my mum from Lew or is that the other way round I'll be back on later cos dh is staying home til the plasterer is done and i don't fancy sitting watching boring tv with my parents.

Phoenix · 21/06/2007 17:58

Oh and the new one Flame

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 18:02
Shock
Frizbe · 21/06/2007 18:07

phoenix, what a nightmare, thank goodness for your mum rescuing you, phew for mum very for you re the celing though, good job insurance covers it, although I think some of this could have been avoided by the builders......

Flame, yep shards!

Jas · 21/06/2007 18:13

That whole board came down on you?
Could have cried? I'm damn sure I would have cried.

Jas · 21/06/2007 18:13

Jas · 21/06/2007 18:13

(I am he reason these threads fill up so quickly)

Frizbe · 21/06/2007 18:17

probably!! right I'm off now and I may or may not be back!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 18:23

Don't know what calendar you're looking at Friz, but 4th August is a Saturday on mine.

I'm on strike for coming up with thread titles - have done my share .

Phoenix - should be able to claim on the roofer's insurance, rather than your own, so that it doesn't affect your premiums. Good job it was your legs and not your head that it fell on.

Flamesparrow · 21/06/2007 18:38

Noooooooooooooooooo - she means she can't do the 4th as on the next day she must be at B/SIL's

In which case

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/06/2007 18:48

I'm not sure what she means - she did say she was clarifying that it was the Sat.

Can I have opinions on this menu for Christening please?

Chianti beef with garlic, thyme, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts

Salmon with an herbed brioche crust served on a leek and asparagus sauce

Caramelised Onion and Gruyere Tart V

New potatoes with lemon, butter and spring onions
Baby carrots, petite pois and mange tout

If there's cake, do I need dessert too (she has suggested some in her menu), or is cake sufficient as pud?
