Ok I'm off to watch Mr Dimbleby!

Phoenix · 10/06/2007 21:44

My dh works shifts so is at home quite a lot but when he is at home helping i always end up late for work cos i kind of relax more then end up rushing at the last minute. When he's at work i'm ready really early.

We've both got another week off work this week but the roof and attic are been done so it'll hardly be relaxing.

Phoenix · 10/06/2007 22:14

has everyone gone to bed?

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2007 22:26

I'm here at last - have you all gone now?

What can I remember?

Jas - yes we eat eggs (one of dd's top foods in fact!). Can you email me your address to save me searching for it in a panic in the morning please?! Bike is loaded in car, but drawers won't fit as well, so will do you another day mrm.

for freezer CS - I loathe refrozen lollies.

for you being disappointed with your time mrm, but I'm sure that in this heat most people would have been slower than expected.

Glad that you and ds enjoyed RFL macca. You look so sporty in that pic!

Well we had a great day at Blockley open gardens. Have a good friend who lives there so we had lunch with them (and in-laws, who the friend is through), and then dd wandered around their enormous garden, and got pushed round some other gardens, then found a playmate who was visiting, and then we had to drive home, which took about 2.5 hours. DD slept for half of that, so then didn't go to bed until 9:30 (well, she went at 9, but then screamed and cried and had cuddles and a bit more milk, so it was 9:30 by the time she went off). Goodness knows what time she'll want to get up in the morning, but she might end up with a cereal bar in the car on the way to tumbletots for her breakfast!!

Sadly it seems that she hasn't outgrown the milk intolerance like we were hoping and suspecting. She has horrendous nappy rash again now .

Jas · 10/06/2007 22:47

I'm still here.
Will email you now csws.

Frizbe · 10/06/2007 22:56

Hello all I'm back again!
Jas and Phoenix hope you had great hols?
CS has your freezer broken from CSWS's post?
Flame I skimmed the last x posts on my watch thing and your not huge??? your a size 10 right? which is super skinny in my book (I'm longing to make it to a 12)
anyway hope you all had great weekends.

Dh and I had a fun time at work with only one kid in tow, ss, who looks after himself pretty much now he's 9, so kinda felt like we got a bit of us time as well, oddly the dd's we're very happy to see us when we got back though. dd2 wouldn't leave my side for a good 15mins, when I first got to my mums to pick her up, awwww

Oh MRM how's your dh's getting on with it all then, nearly fell off my pearch this am, when my dh said he'd been thinking and had decided when he got up this am, that he would HAVE THE SNIP hurrah!! (this from the man who hates the NHS and the Dentist with a passion.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/06/2007 23:02

Oh yes, the mirror thing. I see a glamourous model type - it's just everyone else that sees a fat lump when they look at me .

for dh wanting the snip Friz.

Flame · 10/06/2007 23:09

@ snip!!

Friz - I know that in reality my clothes are smaller than they have ever been, but I see this lumpy thing in the mirror. I'm starting to realise how anorexics get to skeleton stage and still look fat to themselves. (Am not anorexic... am eating now I promise)

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 10/06/2007 23:13

left the door open - duh.
wouldnt mind dh getting the snip. only then there would be a wet patch, and i would end up sleeping on it. will wait till he gets fed up of condoms cos i aint using hormonal contraception again.

Frizbe · 10/06/2007 23:23

CS Doh!
I know, happy snippity, snip dance can't believe it, must have been the two kid free nights, bar ss snoring at the end of our bed that did it so obviously we got up to absolutely nothing, but he must have been thinking somewhere right??? maybe it was me telling him about MRM's dh??
Oh and you wouldn't believe the amount of spiders above my head last night before I went to sleep 3 of the damn things that I could see, I was sooo brave, very proud of myself.

Frizbe · 10/06/2007 23:23

hmmm, had forgot about the wet patch though CS.......

KelBelle · 11/06/2007 00:13

Just had a catch up with ya all and I'm off to bed shortly.

Well done to all you ladies doind RFL. I'm definately doing the 8 mile walk for the Heart Foundation in Sep - walking I can do, running I cant!!!

Phoenix - what sleeping bag did you order?

Think Ds is getting another tooth (his 16th) he has a snotty nose again and wouldnt let me brush them today. Tonight he threw up in his room again, he keeps heaving on his milk????? Not sure what that is about, he is a bit bunged up so could just be snot!!! Sorry!!

Had a big arguement with DH yesterday, as you all know about my incident with my "friend" a few weeks back and that he went mad about it. Well this week I decided to hide 4 condoms out of the packet to see if he was checking up on me, I have also been texting my friend too but literally on a friend basis. Anyway, I went to PIL yesterday, DH turned up with the major hump then grabbed my arm and said that he didnt want to hear any more from me about us getting back together when I am still shagging our friend - he shoved me, yelled at me and wouldnt listen to reason. He said he checked the condom packet and my phone and he wouldnt look at a message I sent my friend about missing DH. His mum had a go and him and he stormed out. He has apologised today but he had a go at our friend too called him the "C" word about 10 times and said he is the reason we are not getting back together. He tells me all the time he isnt coming back. I went to see my friend today and cleared the air with him, he tried to snog me but I said it didnt feel right in the circumstances but we had a good chat and it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. Not sure what will happen with DH now, he is in Les Mans next week so wont see DS for 2 weeks now.

Blimey - I must win the biggest poster award now!!!

Phoenix · 11/06/2007 05:13

Aaaarrrggghhh I take back everything i said yesterday about been awake since 5.30-6am. Today it was 3.30am and he was wide awake, which of course meant so was i and of course dh was fast asleep . I eventually gave in and got up at 4.40am

I've got no chance of going back to bed later cos the roof and attic are been done later

Kel - I got the blue car one cos when we get round to decoratimg ds bedroom i've got the Patchwork Cars set from Next so it will all be blue cars

mustrunmore · 11/06/2007 08:10

Kel, do you think dh really thinks the friend is the reason, or was that a heat of the moment thing? (I say all sorts in the heat of the mo, including telling dh he had to live in the playhouse last week ) And would it make a difference to you if it was just the friend thats bothering him now? Sorry, just trying to analyse everything without really knowing all the ins and outs.

So, Macca, unless I havent read properly, you havent actually told me your time for RFL? I need to know. It'll either make me feel better (which I doubt) or make me feel so bad I'll train harder. I agree though, it was soooo hot yesterday! I'm mainly sad because I just didnt get a buzz off it this time, at all, but the two people I went with did, as it was their first time. It was great for them though, as they both did very good times. I'm definitely going to train harder in prep for the September run. I need to do more outdoor runs (have 2 people that will run with me occasionally now, it seems!), and if I'm on the treadmill its a minimum gradient of 2 else its not worth getting on, So my times are going to go down for quite a while, until I get used to it. And I need to do more than the 5km a day now too; will try for 6.5 this week, then 7 the weeek after, then we'll see. There's no reason, so far, why I cant run every day this weeek, except maybe Thursday. Can you all remind me of that please?

Frizbe; tell your dh its nothing to worry sbout! Dh is fine; just a bit achy in the tummy, which is apparently how you feel if you've been kicked in the groin. He hasnt got any swelling, but a fair amount of bruising appaeared over the weekend. But because of the type of skin IYSWIM, it doesnt show as much as a 'normal' bruise. However, having the snip seems to prevent you from changing nappies, even though you can still mow the lawn and bend down to get the chip fryer out of the cupboard

Flame, I need a photo of you in your current skinniness, so I can judge for myself.

Got my new batch of xenical yesterday too, so we'll see. Its the stuff from abroad again, which worked better than the UK capsules, so we'll see.

2boysmacca · 11/06/2007 08:28

Can't give an exact time as I was using my none digital watch (and I didn't look at the big clock on the start line when I went through) but it was just under 25 mins.

You?

mustrunmore · 11/06/2007 08:33

Oh fuck, I'm definitely not telling you. Well done you though! Thats fantastic.Thats like my prekids time

Phoenix · 11/06/2007 08:44

I've got a quick question i've been meaning to ask for ages. We found out a few weeks ago my mum has been giving ds cups of tea (with sugar in ) but i seem to remember reading that babies can't have tea or coffee. Can he have the odd tea/coffee cos he does seem to like it.

damewashalot · 11/06/2007 09:47

Think it's got something to do with caffine and iron but not sure don't see that a little sometimes would hurt but not lots often IYSWIM but then I am fairly laid back the food police would prob go nuts oh and not too strong plus no sugar as that is a bad habit to get into for when he's older

Flame · 11/06/2007 09:52

2 evils - the caffeine (which you can solve by decaf), and it makes iron asborption harder. We have gone with the theory that it is only occasional (for DD), and just ensure she has an iron rich diet anyway.

OP posts:
damewashalot · 11/06/2007 09:55

See that's what I said but better and actually answers the question
Not with it today huge migraine

Phoenix · 11/06/2007 10:15

Thank you I knew there was something wrong with it. I'm not happy with my mum giving him it anyway. She knew i kept saying he can't have it and still gave him it and i only found out cos she accidently let it slip and she knows we don't want him having sugary things so she bloody gives him tea with sugar

2boysmacca · 11/06/2007 11:45

If it helps MRM, It nearly killed me, I did not enjoy one little bit of it! Reveal all, what did you do it in?

My cousin always gives her son tea Pg, but I think she wants to keep some English quirks (she's lived in North America for 35 years)

Washing out on the line, shopping done, lunch to be made....

2boysmacca · 11/06/2007 12:43

Why can my husband not understand that he needs to tell me when he has finished something off like the milk, the last cereal, the last slice of bread rather than wait for me to discover it No matter how many times I tell him, he just says 'well, i'll do the shopping next week because when you shop, we run out of food" It doesn't occur to him that it has nothing to do with having to go shopping, it's to do with going to the fridge to get the boys a glass of milk, or getting the lunch ready only to find there is nothing there Arghhhhhhhhhhh I am fuming! There is steam coming out of my ears, and he has the audacity to say I do the same to him

Deep breaths, and relaaaax

Phoenix · 11/06/2007 13:56

for your DH Macca.

I hate fricking cars

DH's petrol flap fell off the other week and hes just had it done -

*£17.10 for the flap
*£65 to paint and fit it
*£35 for the bloody paint i could paint a room for that
£17.50 VAT

Total - £Too bloody much for a damn petrol flap

Then they 'advised' that one of the tyres is 60% worn. I don't think so!!!! We'll take it to a cheap place instead of the Fiat dealer.

Rant over
