Kettle's bolied now, need to go and whack a tea bag in a mug now....

Flame · 10/06/2007 20:38

How's your day been?

(Just off to put pasta in)

too stressful. I got myself all wound up with the RFL.

Ds with his RFL medal

I look rough, but hey, it made ds very happy. He keeps saying how fast he ran! Any others out there, experience their lo obsessed with being the fastest, quickets, biggest, tallest, etc. It's doing my head in!

Flame · 10/06/2007 20:51

DD always has to be "in the front" or the winner... she won pass the parcel yesterday and was delighted!

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 20:56

Does she push past ds to be in front? If we see a car, 'is it faster than yours' if we see a house 'our house is bigger'. His bike is faster, his trainers are faster and he also 'takes on water and then steam comes out behind me to make me run faster'

Flame · 10/06/2007 21:00

lmao - pushes past & our car is faster.. but tis about it

Your weekend been good?

ChasingSquirrels · 10/06/2007 21:06

ds1 (4.5y) always wants to the be biggest, talest, best, oldest etc - it is just a phase (I keep telling myself).

went to my mum & dad's for the day - dh took ds1 to a car thing at silverstone, and just as he got the car out of the garage to go the suspension went, so he dropped me at my folks and took my car. Gave the boys yoghurt lollies after breakfast and have just got home and discovered that the freezer didn't get shut properly. Luckily most things are ok, but we will be eating alot of meatballs and scampi for the next couple of days.

And I got some quality street ice cream lollies (for me yesterday and they are all melty ) I just had one in a bowl, but will refreeze the others and see what they are like.

ChasingSquirrels · 10/06/2007 21:06

we have our house is bigger aswell

Flame · 10/06/2007 21:08

Fast Friday afternoon was stepnephew's birthday, which was pure joy , yesterday disappeared with sleep (thankfully - no sleep Friday night), taking DD back n forth to a party, and cooking (oh and sorting out weird missing orders ), and today I wanted to take the kids to the beach, DH doesn't like the beach and they are too young for me to manage them both there alone, so sulked for a bit until my mum finished work, then went round there and played soaking DD with the hose

Now tired, not sure what I want to do, and very little wine left!!

Oh, and have lost more weight, but look in the mirror and look huge to me - does everyone do that, or am I broken???

Flame · 10/06/2007 21:08

argh @ freezer CS

2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 21:09

I wouldn't mind, but our house is very small compared to all his friends. He wants a 'new' house because ours is 'old'. When i tell him, we like older houses he turns his nose up and says he wants a 'new' one

2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 21:12

I always look huge in the mirror too, I always sa it's my evil twin glaring back at me

The weekend has gone fast, I was just saying to dh that I wished he wasn't back at work tomorrow, as we haven't done much and it's be nice for an extra day (and he was home by 4pm on Friday due to him moving offices)

ChasingSquirrels · 10/06/2007 21:13

lol at the house thing, our is bigger, but then he just comes out with it, and it makes me seem as if I am saying xyz's house is really small, when actually it just never comes up.

Phoenix · 10/06/2007 21:26

Evening,

I've sat for hours with no internet connection cos i thought it was broke then i just decided to check all the wires and one was out I bet you've all gone now i'm finally on.

We've stayed home all day and done nothing much.

Well done for RFL. Macca your ds looks cute

CS - aaarrgghh for your freezer

I'm with your dh flame i don't like sand . But for dd not getting to go.

Jas · 10/06/2007 21:29

I don't remember a bigger, better, faster stage here. Just as well really, as our house is small, we run very slowly and are not bigger. The car is fast though

I find that never looking in the mirror works for me. Really.

I am very glad that dp is back to work tomorrow. It has been surprisingly good over the past two weeks, but I do like my own space, and he is not going out in the evenings very much any more, so I'm looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow.
Flapjack is in the oven, csws. Do you eat eggs?

macca - your ds looks so proud

mrm- don't be

I'm here Phoenix
Just emailing Flame.

CS - I hope you manage to salvage your ice lollies. It would bug me, as I rarely buy them and would hate to waste them.

DS loved the sand when we were away. Even more ammunition for my "we need a new sandpit" nag.

2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 21:35

I felt a little like that last week when dh was off work! I missed the help during thedinner shifts but I like to do things my way

I still need to find an outfit for my friends wedding in a fortnights time, I am really struggling with finding tme to look

2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 21:35

Tchibo did a good one a few weeks ago Jas?

Flame · 10/06/2007 21:37

Hurrah Jas

I fancy nibbly food... do I wander to the shop or not (meant to be saving money... but huuuuuuuuuungry)

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 10/06/2007 21:38

NO! Pour yourself a bowl of cereal and be healthy (she says having eaten a mars bar after dinner )

Phoenix · 10/06/2007 21:39

Hi Jas, we could see the beach from our caravan and we both don't like it but we were going to take Lewis on but it was all pebbley so we never bothered. He did walk on some sand that was around a bouncy castle and he didn't like the feel of it

Flame · 10/06/2007 21:40

I was going to nibble on dry start or cheerios... Not chocolate (only got nasty tasting porridge here - bloody kids ate all my pirate cereal)

Jas · 10/06/2007 21:41

Come to my house and have flapjack. I've used extra dark sugar and it smells lovely

He will (eventually) make us a sandpit (or I will buy a really cheap horrible plastic one, and he wil break it on purpose and then make a nice wooden one.)
