I cant imagine TTC just yet, too knackered!

Love your new name, Annie!!! he he he

KZ, how is Queen Rosheen? Poor little thing, isn't it awful when they are sick? And I can't believe Chili is managing to devour that much!

Hope all the sick LO's get better soon. Sefton is teething like a mniac. The last 2 days have been so trying, staying off the booze was not an option.

A story for you, ladies.
Sit down, get a glass of wine (or not, if your wagon is still intact):

A friend of mine's dad asked her to work out how much she had cost him. Everything from nappies to food, to tuition etc. She spent DAYS working it out, wondering what bombshell he is going to drop. She went to him finally and started giving him the break down. He said "No, I just want the total figure", so she told him this ASTRONOMICAL figure and he said.......
..........
.........
..........
..........
..........
...........
"The best investment I ever made"

Where is the - "tear drops into wine" emoticon?

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 21:03

sleep that has brought the tears to my eyes - how wonderful

i'm not doing myself any emotional favours tonight - a "friend" (you'll see why "" in a sec) of mine in the states sent me a you tube link - to the last phone call of a chap in the north tower of WTC.... It's one of those macabre things that once you start watching / listening you can't stop. I sat there with tears running down my face.

I think it was almost like a kind of chain email so if you get it don't listen, it's just so distressing.

hc you do sound much better in yourself - get thee to ebay and shop lady!

Well footie on here too

DP, not normally one to give a flying banana about Liverpool is suddenly supporting them as they may be about to win something

I?m afraid I?m with the ?wagon, shmagon? camp re alcohol at the mo (well all the time really ) so am sinking a few glasses AND eating chocolate - blame Liverpool, it?s all their fault. Well at least DP isn?t moaning about me being glued to the laptop anyway

Sleep - that made me weep into my wine, definitely!! How lovely.

Lysette - I hate that sort of thing, there just no point is there

Will catch up in a mo, just wanted to post this before it turns into an essay

Hi all
Been away for FAR too long and have come crawling back begging to be let in!?
How is everyone (will try in vain to catch up at some point?!)

So my DD Evie is going to be 1 in less than a month!
Still not crawling but sort of bum shuffling and socially/cognitively advanced so like her mum I guess

Sad that they have to grow up really guess maybe time to talk to DP about another

Jane xx

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 21:51

sorry sohappy, although the second milan goal wasn't too bad - thought there was a comeback on the cards!

i actually have no idea what to buy jacob for his birthday. he is a big curious george fan but you dn't get many CG toys. must try and nurture the thomas interest so we can folow on that one!

actually talking about snot jacob's seems to be drying up a bit (sorry TMI!) which is a great thing considering he has been sniffy pretty much since he came out of hospital at 3 weeks old.

anyway, off to bed now the footies finished - feeling mildly sick from the chocolate i have eaten, or that maybe the pate and bread i had for my dinner - diet out the window tonight

Welcome back Jane-so lovely to hear from you.

This pic of the girls was taken on Sunday-it shows some of Sophie's Christening dress. Emma and Sophie

FirstAtForty · 23/05/2007 22:41

Kayzed, v impressive post! Hope Roshi?s better today. re Chili?s appetite, you?ll have to get him an allotment so he can grow his own food and keep your bills down! Sweeet pic of Roshi with her bum in the air

Emma STILL can?t roll from her back to her front (which is fine by me ) so is stranded on her back like a turtle all night! She stands up though, as long as she has something to hang on to.

Lysettes - re sleeping, I reckon you just have to point out - does the few minutes of yelling result in sleeping - if so, it?s a result surely?? Kayzed?s right, definite difference between ?mantra? whinging before they go to sleep and ?upset? crying. Gorgeous sleeping pic, he looks so content!

Sohappy - love the dishwasher pic, it?s so funny seeing the photos of the LO?s wandering around on their own two feet! Soz about Liverpool btw

HC - good to hear from you, gorgeous Christening pic! Must be so hard with toddlers and keeping your temper, I find myself involuntarily losing it even with Emma at 10 months when she continuously lets rip with her earsplitting screech.

Twinkle - lovely pic too, one to frame!

Annie - I?m liking the sound of your beer garden

Bloss - sorry to hear about the continuous hideous early mornings Your dad?s birthday sounds fab, and he is SO young. Gorgeous pic of H

Pretty - glad to hear the nourishment and rum supplies are still going strong

Ceebee - what a cutie Josh is, so clever managing his cup by himself. (Emma does drink from hers by herself sometimes, but it?s very random!) Your family meal with Josh sounds lovely, it?s great when they can sit round the table and really join in isn?t it? We don?t do it often, tend to feed her first then put her to bed before we have our tea, but have done it when we have visitors or are out somewhere and she loves it.

No Christening here either, not religious really so no point. Stumped for what to do for first birthday party, she doesn?t really have a large social circle yet!

Hi JanenEvie

Impy - glad Ryan?s back to his old self . Thanks for the party invite - sounds lush Hope you?re doing okay while DP?s away.

Sophie - 27th June
Jacob 14th

Hooray !!!! Another one breaking the booze amnesty this week .
I have eaten half a pack of chocolate digestives tonight but no alcohol after all !! .

I know what you mean about getting to the point of losing it with them when they are just screeching incessantly, it is so grinding... DD freaks usually when I'm trying to get jobs done in the house so put her in her playpen. She can still see me and has loads of things to do, but that isn't sufficient sometimes

Alex has gone to sleep nicely tonight, here's hoping she'll sleep through until a decent hour (don't know how the rest of do it that have to get up all night or early. It's bad enough doing it for work, but couldn't do it every day). She's stopping at my sisters this weekend as I'm working an no-one else able to have her (dh away, parents away, cm weekdays only). Got to try to put the playpen/travel cot down to take with me, struggling at moment with it . Why is there so much to pack ???

Won't be on for a couple of days now, don't go mad and put thousands of messages on or I'll never catch up again !

Night night.....

Just a quick one, only have 15 mins before I must go out and its taken me ages to read all the posts!! Will try and get back on here tonight.

Had my (very indulgent) facial last night although nearly didn't make it as the DCs were a nightmare going to bed (of course -they just know you're going out don't they?) and DH was engrossed in the football and being no hope whatsoever. Worth it in the end though - [bliss emoticon]

Hi Girls!

Ah peace and quiet in the house. Babies asleep, DH and his mate gone out to get some wood for the garden. [sigh]

Pleased to report I abstained last night. I was very tempted though, as the clan met me at the train station and the beer garden on the way home was very sunny... But I resisted. DH wasn't bothered, said it was up to me. He had a beer later on though, at home, and I still resisted. Aren't I the model abstainer again!
Can't see it lasting tonight though...

for Liverpool fans last night. I'm not a fan (DH is Newcastle...) but always like to support the English side anyway. Did you see the poor lil boy crying, he was about 8 or 9. Bless... That'll be DS every year if he follows Nufc too.

Bloss hope you enjoyed your vino last night!

Have a good trip, sohappy!!

KZ LOL at hawelling/howelling/howeling/HOWLING!!!!
Hope Roshi's better. (A fine Irish name by the way!!! LOL! I'm a bit thick really aren't I?)

First, quite an impressive post yourself!! Come and join me in the beer garden when I next fall off the wagon, probably later today!

HC, your girls are beautiful. They look like you!!

Jane!! Welcome back good to hear from you!

Lysette, exciting but scary eh? When will you know for this month? Are you on a TTC thread that we can all nosey on??

Glad you girls like my new name...What does it say about it I wonder...

Hi Sleep

Hi everyone else I've missed!!

Right, what's for dinner...

Annie

jacobandlysette · 24/05/2007 16:39

hi annie - i'm on the ttc table thread! don't think it's going to happen this month thought - think i messed up my counting

jacob has figured out the quickest way to get around - rolling over and over and over and over!!!!

it is so hot here! last night in jacob's room it was 28 degrees at midnight! poor little guy had to sleep with no bedclothes it was so warm

bought the things for the party bags today - man it's a difficult thing to do! what do you put in them???? I've gone for tradition little wooden toys in most and a few other things and bubbles in all of them. have managed to not spend too much as we have around 15 children coming - and thats on top of all the adults that are all drunkards . and do you give them out at the end to take home, even if there are things in there they could play with at the party????

jacob got given his first balloon in the shop and is totally amused by it right now!

OP posts:
AnnieAlcoholLeft · 24/05/2007 16:53

Lysette, I had a look there. Haven't a clue what all those abbr. are, so no wonder you got mixed up!! Good luck anyway. Lots of nookie for you!!

K loves balloons too. She eats them. Where's that list...

Gotta go, we have two awake now...

jacobandlysette · 24/05/2007 17:07

have had to give jacob an old mobile to play with so he doesn't go mad as soon as he sees thesky remote / tv remote / dvd remote / phone / mobile / anything electrical!

hi everyone

i only go away for a few days and there a new thread and it has over 100 messages already have now read all posts in stages

Loving all the pics, fantastic

had lovely long weekend away in cardiff, really enjoyed it and was great having some 'couple' time, but so missed charlotte and was glad to be back to see her. she was in bed by the time we got back on tue night so had to wait until wed morning when she woke up and dont think she had even noticed we had been away

charlotte is still only crawling backwards but gets quite frustrated at times as shes not going where she wants to she also now says 'moo' sound when you ask what noise the cow makes, so cute, although she does say 'moo' when you ask what noise a cat, dog, sheep, etc makes too

dh is still off work until mon so we are enjoying some family time for the rest of the week, went round toys r us today to see if we could find something for dd's 1st birthday but no idea what to get, dont really want to spend a lot, i think maybe £30-40 is ok? was thinking of some mega bloks and fisher price little people set. fed up of battery operated toys that drive you loopy after a few mins

ok, better go, will try to do indiviaual posts later. have a nice evening ladies xx
