New thread everyone - hope the title is catchy enough

Am trying to think of anything that Amelias eaten - I have to keep such a close eye on her as absolutely everything goes in there. Once she started crawling I had to go through all of DS toys and confiscate any small pieces and now we have some special toys that are only to be played with when shes asleep. Probably the best is cat fur - either pulled straight from the cat or from the floo, not fussy really and then there has been the small piece of cat litter.

She pulled herself up to standing today on the sofa trying to get the TV remote - another fave to chew on.

Someone was talking about their DS putting their dummy back in their mouth in their sleep. (Sorry should scroll back and have a look but want to keep it quick as I want to be in bed by 10 tonight) Amelia also does this and also has this weird thing where if she's really upset/tired in the cot and trying to get to sleep she won't let you put the dummy in her mouth you need to put either in her hand or on the mattress near her so she can pick it up herself and put it in her mouth. Miss Independant at the age of 10 months!

Had a bad weekend with teething, really bad nappies, bad nappy rash, dribbles, high temperature the works and only one to show for it. I felt sorry for her - she was so miserable. Six teeth now!

Am envious of all you drinkers - still don't really indulge due to bf but do manage the sneaky glass now and then.

Am having a facial tomorrow night, really looking forward to it

Hello, just getting this thread into my threads, then will go back and read the end of the last one before posting properly. But here 's a pic to be going on with.

Twinklemegan · 22/05/2007 22:38

HC - glad your christening went OK despite the forgetful vicar! Speaking of forgetful, we had an appointment to see our vicar this evening about getting Aidan christened and we totally forgot! Quadruple What are we going to do? Do you reckon we'll have to move house now to get him christened?

KZ and everyone else with poorly LOs - I do hope they finally get better soon. It's dreadful isn't it? We were back at the doctors again today and Aidan's got yet more ab's for this bloody ear infection. And his nose has been streaming for a good couple of weeks. One thing just seems to morph into another at the moment.

Impy - glad to hear Ryan's much better.

We're having a pretty low key 1st birthday - will probably go down south to spend it with DH's family. No one's asked about presents yet, but then there are a good couple of months to go yet. I think we'll probably get him a baby walker and/or a set of musical instruments.

Lol at all of you giving up the booze. I wonder how long it'll last?

Kayzed - I think you deserve a medal for what you've coped with since little Roshi was born.

x-posted. Aww thanks. It's taken at Duncombe Park in the North York Moors overlooking Helmsley Castle. About 30 mins away from where we live.

You just can't cope well all the time - it's not humanly possible. Don't beat yourself up. (((())))

kz and twinkle{{{{hugs}}} hope the babies recover soon!

kz- it is so hard when you have a toddler demanding attention and a sick baby and no family about for support! if i was in good terms with my family, the two kids would have been shipped over there every couple of days!! but you have done so well the last couple of months, you should be so proud of yourself!

twinkle you aswell, you have coped so well too, i dont know how i would have coped with all bugs the kids and yourself have had the last few months!! well done!!
lovely pic of aidan and the scenery is sooo beautiful!! he looks so relaxed!

i dont think i will be joining in the non alcohol club anytime soon, i have no will power what so ever, sat here with my nourishment and rum mixture!

Twinklemegan · 22/05/2007 23:17

Thanks Prettymum. But I think many others on this thread have had much worse than me (not that it's a competition or anything).

I've got the appointment next Tuesday Kayzed. It was nigh on impossible getting an appointment in advance with a female GP. But it's actually my own doctor which will be the first time I've ever seen her. I can't pretend I'm looking forward to it, but I just hope she'll be able to do it and it'll be over and done with for three years.
