Ceebee - personally I wouldn't spend £80 on a first birthday present, but it is very tempting I know. Congrats on Josh's weight gain!!

My dad was holding Toby on the kitchen table last week and my Mum put a hot cuppa down behind them and Toby dunked his hand in it. He cried for ages most unlike him, must have really hurt. My mum was devastated.

HC - that's a lovely pic! A very goodlooking family you all are, and your dress is very pretty! xx

Numpty my love - yes guttng about the ADs, but if they sort you out then they sort you out, has to be done. Good for you going to get them.

Lysttes how exciting about the new house! We'll all come to the housewarming!! Aww look at Jacob slumbering, very sweet...

KZ - can relate re DS. Was only saying to myself the other day how dreamy he had been lately, and then literally minutes after eating a white chocolate cookie that he had spent al afternoon baking with my BF yesterday (no idea if the choc caused it or he was just tired) he just started with complete disobedience, refusing to do anything he was told, pooed in his pants, (hasn't done that since week 1 of potty training and even then cried because he forgot to tell me) got up a record of 11 times after being put to bed, and got a smacked bum. Which he laughed at. Poor you with Roshi screaming too, I really don't know how you manage that. Can also relate with things to get done (although on a smaller scale to an international move, trying to pack for a family of four for four nights away this weekend, i don't know where to start or when to do it!!

Re not drinking - have not touched a drop yet this week. Tempting last night after DS1 debacle, but resisted. Annie has excused me tonight with BF, but won't drink tomorrow......

Twink, what a gorgeous photo!!!

Well, I am truly fed up of early mornings. Quarter to pigging 5 this morning, the fun and games started. REALLY wanted to watch Longford last night but knew it would be a bad idea. Am on 3rd cup of coffee to try and keep my eyes open. Off to Wellington this afternoon. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Think I will have to post in sleep again for a rant, with some like-minded bleary eyed folk..........must think positive, my kids aren't sick etc so.....

anyone else's baby poo every 40 minutes? Toby's arse is truly impressive. He PERMANENTLY has a dirty nappy, it must look like I never change him, but I do, about 14 times a day!!! Does he eat this much cos he poos thi smuch, or the other way round....? Talk about chicken and egg..........

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 09:15

morning everyone!

kz and twinkle hope all babies are getting better soon! roshi is certainly going through it all isn't she? it may sound silly but is it worth (i'm sure you're already doing it) giving her lots of bland stuff to eat - like we would have if we were sicky? and i also heard that really weak cold peppermint or chamomile tea is good for them if they have upset tummies.

jacob is into everything now, and moving v quickly. he has a little carpet burn on the side of his nose from his accident yesterday but is absolutely fine!

what a great day! can finally get some of those summer clothes out again, and take the sleeping bag back off the buggy

you're all welcome at the housewarming!

o'h and another booze free night even thought dh came home early (relatively) and asked if i wanted a glass of wine. very proud of myself!

numptysmummy · 23/05/2007 09:16

Ella did when she was little - every hr. Not so bad now except she's started filling her nappy at 5.30 in the bloody morning - not my idea of a gentle awakening!

HumphreysCorner · 23/05/2007 10:30

numpty-started my AD's the very same night I got them. Was in a total fog first thing in the morning for a couple of weeks. Don't know how I managed to drive Em to nursery for 9am let alone take Sophie to swim class but I did. Am into the 4th week and I still wake up feeling dopey but it passes by about 11-30am ish.

Got to go as Sophie on the move again-probably taking the coals off the electric fire again.

Chin up kayzed-if you fall by the wayside then we all might.

Well - told dh. He not happy. Not because he's an ignorant, uncaring arse but because it upsets him. He takes it really personally like he's failed me.
Anyway,as a lazy newbie who hasn't rread all the old posts would it be poss to have a list of b'days please?

Morning Girls

Well done, Bloss, Lysettes, and Numpty. Very Proud of you all.

I'm afraid I fell off the wagon.

DH phoned me (it's all his fault) at 4.30 to say come home and you'll find me in the beer garden, I've just got the babies to sleep.
I thought, ok, by the time I get there, he'll have finished his pint and be back home. He wasn't. He was still sitting there on his second pint, the babies had just woken, and he was chatting to a couple with a 12 week old baby. So it was rude not to.
Sorry girls, I know I've let you down.
Is that it now for the week or do I have to climb back on tonight?

KZ and Twinkle, hope your Roshi and Aiden are better today. Gorgeous photo of Aiden!

Jom, enjoy that facial!

Sleep, it was just meant to be a quick detox week off the booze after excesses of the weekend. So much for that!! (Keep it up Bloss,Lysettes, and Numpty!!)
LOL at 'just you wait' to the 9weekers!!! How true!!

Right I better do somethings. A scorcher here today

Have a good day everyone

Annie

AnnieOleTing · 23/05/2007 10:58

Hi Numpty, for your DH. You'll get through it together, it always takes time to adjust.

Ella - 16th
Kayley - 18th

numptysmummy · 23/05/2007 11:18

I nearly fell off last night - had a barbie.Obv beer and barbies have to go together. Dh nearly fell over when i said i was in a wk off it! Diidn't offer to join me tho, just sat there drinking a lovely cold cider Bet it he spends all night trying to get me to drink. Thinks i have no will power! (Possible he's correct there tho!)

Wallace · 23/05/2007 11:32

Will catch up later (have rotten cold - head feels like cotton wool)

Leo continues to be attracted to the loo! This morning when dh was letting me have a lie in, Leo posted a sponge and a tube of toothpaste into the toilet Discovered by me when I came down for a wee - dh hadn't even noticed!

I have heard others talk about their toddlers/babies doing this, but neither of my other two did it. Leo is a rogue...he only started pulling himself up last week, and causing chaos already!

Ceebee74 · 23/05/2007 12:38

Josh - 14th
Ella - 16th

Annie - shame on you but I bet it tasted good.

Wallace - I think I have one of those 'rogues' aswell - turn my back for a second and he is into mischief.

HC - good to have you back again.

KZ - OMG - DS really is eating you out of house and home isn't he? Hope Roshi improves today.

Well, we now have clapping in the Ceebee household. Josh finally got the hang of banging his hands together (before he was just bouncing them up and down excitedly thinking he was clapping) yesterday afternoon and has been doing it ever since.

AnnieOleTing · 23/05/2007 13:50

Numpty - nearly ! But you didn't! After all my spiel yesterday...

(Ceebee yes it did taste good! Real Good!) shame on me again
Ceebee congrats to Josh on his clapping! Delightful!!

Wallace, LOL at Leo's loo antics!

Ice cream weather methinks!

Can't believe all that effort saying "NO BOOZE" failed so soon ! (Had McDonald's today)

Gorgeous photos of the LO's. Alex sleeps just like that in her cot. I always put her down feet to foot, but in the morning, she's always snuggling up to her teddies at the head end . That is a wonderful photo in the gorgeous field with the castle behind. Wish Alex would sit still for photos, she just off and crawling all the time !

She's has been completely signed off from hospital now. She had to have a 2nd hearing test today due to her having been in special care, which she of course passed with flying colours . Knew there was nothing wrong with her hearing 'cos you can't get away with anything !!

Where abouts are you lot where there is sun today ???? Just overcast up here (Manchester), even looks like it could rain.

Have bought one of those bluetooth adapter thingys for the laptop today, so any photos I take on my phone I can now transfer ! Aren't I SAD ! Am going to TRY to put my photos on a link at some point, but for now, they'll be added onto my profile. (Alex has been "helping" unload the dishwasher today, photo in profile)

DH gone to France for a week today. Going to miss him like crazy, but will be nice to be able to watch what I want on TV etc !! Hope he's going to do LOTS of work on the house.

I was thinking that since we are now not being careful in the bedroom department I wonder if should just take any booze at the moment as I won't be able too soon !!! No seriously, I'm still on the wagon this week but it's getting harder by the day!

lovely pics everyone, and agreed, HC lovely to have you talking again.

Lysette you stick with it girl! Don't give in to temptation! It's only for a week, and I suspect only until Friday! Which is two more nights!!
Must be fun TTC Good Luck!

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 17:07

great new name annie

jacob currently yelling the house down in his cot as he's grizzly and tired and won't sleep anywhere else at the moment (used to drop off anywhere, now too interested in showing off his new skills!). Think I am going to have to get him as he's really yelling now.

I was getting all excited this month but i think i f'd up my dates Hmm

I imagine I'll be indulging in a vat or two of wine this friday night! DH (for once) won't be going to work drinks on a friday so we will have a whole friday night together

OP posts:
sohappyicouldcry · 23/05/2007 17:52

Gosh have fun Jacobandlysettes, I couldn't imagine TTC at the moment as dd is so much of a handful !! Good luck to you girl and enjoy .

Really must go and make some tea tonight, hardly seems worth it for little ol me on my own ! Mind you, at least I can have whatever I like and not have to face dh moaning

Going to attempt to get Alex into bed early tonight so I can watch the match in peace (with a vodka maybe, since the wagon has rolled off and left us sprawled on the road behind). Don't rate my chances as she had a stonking sleep this pm ! COME ON LIVERPOOL

Back later xx

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 18:31

oooh sohappy i think we have to be at other ends of the virtual tv room as dh is a massive everton fan to the extent that he is backing milan tonight

secretely i'd still go with the english team, but sssssh don't tell him

rant alert - i am so fed up of having to justify everything i do with jacob to dh! we have (since jacob was born) always held him to sleep and i am trying to change this as we are going to get ourselves in real problems soon i think. i have been (this week) putting him down for naps in his cot when he is quite clearly tired and letting him get himself to sleep, even if it takes a few minutes of yelling. dh has quizzed me and quizzed me on this about whether it is really controlled crying (something he is dead against and i am not really an advocate of, just our personal choice) - it is kind of cc but not completely, and i have had to really spell out to him that i have confidence in what i am doing and that at the weekend he is going to have let me continue doing it and not go running in after 10 seconds. AIBU????

sorry for the long rant!

sohappyicouldcry · 23/05/2007 20:42

I hope your dh isn't jumping up and down too much jacobandlysettes...... Can't believe they've managed to squeeze a sneaky one in .

Alex is also one of those who falls asleep ON us. Unfortunately we've tried leaving her to cry etc, but she just ends up making herself sick every time. I've given up hoping that she'll maybe sort herself out .

Going to pour myself a BIG drink to drown my football sorrows sorry, just can't reach the step to get back on the wagon ...

Will check in later xx

jacobandlysette · 23/05/2007 20:48

he's at a partners dinner for their firm tonight! and they have got the venue to put up some massive screen and have a liverpool legend coming to talk to them. i think he wouldn't ever admit it but he'd still prefer the english team!

it was a bit of a flukey goal - from some angles looked like it came off his arm!

have a big one for me - i've resorted to chocolate to stop hitting the booze

reckon liverpool'll pull it back though

Ladies

Have had a kayzed day and ended up slapping Em on the side of her head in the Cafe after she had pushed me just too far. Mum rushed her upstairs to the toilet and gave her a talking to leaving me downstairs getting filthy looks from everyone.

jacobandlysette-don't justify yourself anymore. Anyway, you have got other things to be getting on with. Lots of luck.

numpty-well done on telling DH. My DH was the same and didn't want me taking AD's-soon got over it though and he has seen the vast improvement which ultimately is going to benefit him.

I too am on the no vino campaign. Difficult to fit in anyway now my points total is only 18. Had some on Sunday and Monday. Might have some on Friday. Did go 2 weeks without when I started the AD's.
