Hey ladies

Is this sods law or what? DH working away for 2 months in March and April - Josh kept being ill at nursery and I kept having to take time off work. Last 6 weeks, DH been working from home and Josh has been fine. This week, DH is away and guess what......Josh had diorrhea (sp) today and got sent home and they won't have him back for the rest of the week - how bloody typical is that? I have to take tomorrow off although fortunately DH will be back on Friday (although that should be fun as DH has never looked after Josh for more than a couple of hours )

However, Josh seems ok (apart from the constant runny nappies) - he is eating ok, is happy - although apparently he cried for 45 minutes at nursery and they couldn't calm him down

Anyhoo, at least I get a day off tomorrow - even if my boss isn't overly impressed.

Wallace - no wonder you are panicking - guess you will be throwing everything into a box as we speak.

Annie - your job description is certainly 'varied' isn't it?

Well better get on with the work I bought home this afternoon to make up the hours I lost today by leaving early..god work sucks sometimes.

Hope you all have good evenings x

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/06/2007 19:44

everyone bow down to BeadMum whose posts are SO sweet and she rememberes everyone so thoughtfully, and makes me look so selfish, and is generally dead nice.

Annie you are bonkers.

Know exactly what you mean about having to finish off the bottle that is open from Sunday, that is fatal isn't it? Not even attempting to have a booze free evening after being stuck in all dy waiting for the DHL guy who eventualy turned up at 4.50!! I was ok by then though as new firend who I met in the park (DH thinks I am going to get attacked one day I keep adopting people) came round with her two kids the same age as mine and we were having a lovely time, it was so nice to see another adult! We are going out ALL day tomorrow to make up for it.

Augsut 14th looking strong from my POV.

Wallace - good luck honey. I love the way you have no time at all to do anything and yet you still manage to post to tell us so! That is a true July Mum.

KZ - loving the Brown Bear stories. Keep us updated.

CeeBee hugs to you, I know how hard it is juggling work etc. I remember my first trip to London for a very important meeting and Canary Wharf after I had H and he was at nursery, I was suited and booted could barely walk in my heels, totally crapping myself about meeting a CTO with no idea what I was talking about, in ataxi and on the phone ot the doctor asking him to diagnose H over the phone as I was going to have to get Dh to come home from work and collect him from nursery as he was pooing and puking etc, stressstressstresstearspaniccrying etc. Horrible.

Just had a lovely converstaion with my newly pregnant friend, she has never even held a baby never mind had one, and she said it took a good few weeks to dawn on her she was pregnant. She didn't take a test for ages cos she thought she was infertile and turns out she is 13 weeks! It's so exciting. Due Christmas Eve.

HC, nothing wrong with Nuggets, chips and beans, my boys would consider that gourmet if Dad wasn't at home...any sign of Elliphant?

Bloss

xxxx

Hi Lysettes honey

xx

HumphreysCorner · 20/06/2007 20:06

Do you know-Emma age the nuggets and left the chips and beans and Sophie looked at me in disgust and slithered down the highchair to avoid any more spoonfuls. Both girls ended up in bed at 6pm but Sophie is restless so probably has a rumbly tum.

Bloss-grrhh at the DHL man. It is nice when you make new friends. I see a girl at dance class. We won't ever meet outside of the class but quite enjoy the chats (usually about our MIL's) Have posted a letter to Longleat today and a MNetter is going on Friday so is going to have a look round.

Ceebee-I hope Josh hasn't got what Sophie had. Not nice with those diorrhea explosions.

kayzed-PMSL this is what I bought Could wear it and start a new trend

Love to all

Right I am totally bored now (managed what, 30 minutes of work!) - how on earth do people work from home without getting distracted??

HC - what a cute swimseat. We have moved Josh onto armbands now which are fab except when he decides to put his head down and swallow the water (um, and I am wondering now why he might have a dodgy tum!)

Bloss - am of you - I can't meet any new friends despite my best efforts.

14th August is deffo ok with me - is anyone else's DH/DP coming? Mine is but he said he is quite happy to wander round the castle forever (apparently when we went last time which was 5 years ago, I went round too quickly for him because I was bored )

Ceebee74 · 20/06/2007 20:18

Forgot to say Bloss that the post about your friend reminded of a programme that was on on Sunday night (Sex, the City and Me - did anyone else watch it?) - that was about a complete career woman with all the flash London flat etc. who got pregnant (hopefully the rest of the programme won't apply to your friend as it was about how she was completely discriminated against when she returned to work)

I am now thinking that I should send this work I am doing to my boss really late tonight and then, when she sees the time on the e-mail, she will think I have been working on it for hours......

God I have turned into Annie now haven't I - posting random thoughts whilst pretending to work (love your posts really hun x)

jacobandlysette · 20/06/2007 20:19

quick one! jacob has gone down for the second night running without throwing up!

Hurrah!

castille · 20/06/2007 21:02

Gawd, just typed a long Hello-remember-me post and it didn't work

Anyway, hello everyone! Been reeeeelly busy lately, doing what is anyone's guess though as my To Do list is longer than ever

Just thought I'd share the fact that Thomas finally got around to crawling, commando-style, two weeks ago! Hooo-bloody-ray! And today he worked out how to get from flat on his face to sitting up. Cue manic grin and enthusiastic self-applauding. He's a total sweetheart, honestly. Even DH, who had been in a FOUL mood all afternoon, had to crack a smile at Thomas flapping about on the floor while we had our meal.

Can't believe they will all be one so soon! Anyone feeling nostalgic?

castille · 20/06/2007 21:04

Oops, sorry, that'll be me trying out a new name

frenchleave · 20/06/2007 21:05

Argh, couldn't change it back!

That's better. Sorry girls.

Twinklemegan · 20/06/2007 21:30

Wallace - good luck with your move - you must be pretty frantic at the moment.

Bloss - amazing news about your friend. That was me when I fell pregnant with Aidan (the not realising bit, not the flash life in London lol). I was 8 weeks when I finally did a test.

Hello everyone else!

Wallace · 20/06/2007 21:36

thnaks all

I shouldn't be here but leo is still up...

did I mention that dh is away at the mo too? Left early today and won't be back til early hours of monday...arrrghhh!

FirstAtForty · 20/06/2007 21:59

Annie ? having some LEFT in the bottle at the end of the night ? think that deserves an outstanding achievement award for abstinence (it would in my house anyway). Lol at Destiny?s Child(ren) ? I can just see them, three wobblers in a row, clutching on to bars of cot with one hand, waving microphones in the other, screeeeeching their little heads off Oh - and btw - has anyone told you you?re bonkers? oh yes I think they have love the mossie-wiping tissue story

Kayzed ? Emma does Elvis impressions too! I?ll have to try and get a vid clip. Good luck with Brown Bear, though it does sound like you may be on to a bit of a loser there? maybe paint his nails with that nail biting stuff to stop him thumb sucking?

Wallace ? omg ? get those cardboard boxes out!! Good luck!!

Lysette ? fingers crossed for your move too, not long now is it? Good news re the puking tonight

Bloss ? you?ll have to get going on those Goddess masterclasses with your pg mate, she couldn?t have a better teacher

Beadmum ? I was thinking the same as Bloss today! Bow down and respect to you! Emma?s getting into books now too, it makes them look so intellectual doesn?t it (in between wiping shepherd?s pie into their hair whilst blowing raspberries obviously)

Ceebee ? re Josh and nursery, really feel for you on that one. Hope he?s over it v quickly. I do quite a bit of work from home at the mo as that?s part of my official ?deal?, it?s quite a skill fitting in segments of work in between building tower blocks of bricks, changing nappies, watching Teletubbies, doing bottles etc (and of course the odd bit of Mning ) Not sure about DP and Aug 14th, depends if he can get time off work I guess, will keep you posted.

HC ? fingers crossed for you re the elephant xx

Hi French ? lol re flapping about on the floor, they look so pathetic don?t they, bless! Emma only just crawling too, v pleased with herself (though she still can?t roll from back to front )

I have a question, how the hell do you baby-proof a whole living room??? What do you do about the video etc? And the pot plants? Do you let them crawl just anywhere or spend your life saying NO and putting them elsewhere? God I?m crap at this ? so far I?ve barely allowed her out of her cage I?m so paranoid about the hazardous expeditions around the house,

Well going to post this before I get even more behind? hi to everyone I?ve missed, will catch up again soon xxx

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/06/2007 22:25

LOOKLOOKLOOK it's 22.25 and I'm still up quick take a picture!!

F@40 PMSL at the wiping shepheres pie in their hair, sometimes i say to myself oh Toby doesn't need a bath tonight, then I see mist of his dinner in his blone curls and rethink....

I did the "Noooooo Harry away from the pot plant" first time round. This time, Toby's favourite pot plant currently living on top of sideboard instead of the floor....he doesn't seem to have found the ones in the conservatory yet....

Night.

will do a proper catchup later

annie - i know you'll be interested...........peed on the stick this morning and it's a no o'h well back to the drawing board. very frustrating as i got caught so quickly with jacob!

on the plus side the first wake up last night was at 320, but then he woke again at 530 and then around 630..... but we left him playing and he was sitting up playing with his curious george when dh went in!

see you all later, backto the packing - so much to do that the gym is going by the wayside today, which means jacob doesn't get to the creche, but will make sure he goes tomorrow as he loves it so much!

Ceebee74 · 21/06/2007 09:58

Lysette - about the negative test - but might it be too soon to test? Anyway, if not, fingers crossed for next month eh?

Well Josh is perfectly well today - done a normal poo this morning and there is absolutely nothing wrong with him - so I have had to take a days holiday to be at home with a perfectly well child - which is nice but he loves nursery so much, I feel bad for him that he can't go and is stuck at home with me

prettymum · 21/06/2007 10:49

lysette- like ceebee- maybe testing too early?? otherwise it just means spending more time with your dh in the bedroom!

junior is such a cheerful baby(well most of the time!) he wakes up from his naps wth a huge smile and he is not as clingy as he was before!

but theres no stopping him now! he trys going behind the telly no through our tv stand!! he takes out all the dvds and climbs into the stand and tries to call through!! i just let them make all the mess and clean up in the evening!

kz- hows the cleaning coming along? i spent most of my evening last night ironing all the clothes that were hibernating in the washing basket for the last few months!

dd looking bored, need to find something to do!!

Ceebee74 · 21/06/2007 11:29

Pretty - I am exactly the same. Let Josh make as much mess during the day and then tidy up after he has gone to bed!

Just thought I would share this with you - surely Josh is worth more than this ?

I went up this morning after his nap and found this - it was on some tracksuit pants I had bought the other day that were behind the foot of his cot - so I have no idea how he got it and how he stuck it on his bum - but made me laugh

HumphreysCorner · 21/06/2007 11:45

Ceebee-bless gorgeous Josh. He is truly priceless. Have we all got the same Penguin from Comfort Bottles-I have 2!

Lysette-fingers crossed as always but next month is only round the corner. I got a +ive 3 days before I was due on with Sophie.

Have been to the Drs and seen the main man. Periods are completely normal-he did a diagram Not having an early menopause. Can't go back to Immigran for my migraines Have to take 3 soluble aspirin before taking Almogran. He asked about child plans as I suspect he wanted to try me on a different contraceptive method (no point mate as DH doesn't get a look in1) so then he said he would put me back on beta blockers but I hated how they made me feel so at stalemate regarding migraines. (Have one at the mo and no period) Have 2 more months supply of AD's and then hopefully will only need another 2 months after that.

Sophie has done a smelly so had better go.

Hope your flat is spick and span kayzed just like prettymum's

Have a good day ladies.

Love you all.

prettymum · 21/06/2007 11:50

my flat tidy?? never is, thats why im always cleaning because it never is!! its so small with so much stuff (mainly dps cricket gear and all his car parts!!) looks like a garage!!

prettymum · 21/06/2007 11:51

ceebee- lol at the price!!

pavlovthecat · 21/06/2007 12:12

Ceebee - your Josh has tons of hair! he looks gorgeous and worth a smidge more than £4.00!!
