Hi Pavlov. I did see you say Hi to me on the other thread but I've not got around to posting on anything the last day or so. Aidan's doing fine thanks, but very unsettled at night so I'm a bit bleary eyed. I'm also trying to really swot up on geaky stuff while I prepare my application for this job, so it's pretty busy here at the mo. Right now I'm off to bed.

PavlovtheCat · 18/06/2007 07:35

KZ - WC? Where is that ? I would like to try to meet, although this is the weekend of my 30th b'day so might be in NY!

PavlovtheCat · 18/06/2007 07:41

I will ad some pictures of her, she is, as always a gem. She continues to give the bestcuddles, and yesterday gave my best friend a cuddle. She actually held her arms out for one. She has this really cute game where when she is in my arms she reaches out for DP, he takes her off me, se cuddles him and then turns and holds arms out for me to take her, cuddles me, back to DP, for ages! And she did this to my BF!

She is 'talking' She holds the phone to her ear and says 'eeeooo'. She is pointing at things and whispering 'azat?' or 'zis' which I am taking as 'whats that' or, 'this', progressed from saying 'dat' to verything. This morning, she pointed at eveything in the front room in turn, saying 'azat', so along with mooing, and making vvvmmmm sounds when the vacuum is on she is proper talking. She cant say mama tho .

Sorry I have not posted about individual posts, but I have read the last few days.

Our little babies are growing up so fast aren't they? . I want it to slow down! (or have another baby... I did not say that!}

Ceebee74 · 18/06/2007 10:10

Morning all.

Hi Pav - hope things are ok with you. Can't believe Bella is saying all those words - am so as Josh is still babbling and not said one recognisable word (other than mama, dada (both completely randomly) and strangely enough, que ). My friends lo could say 'woof woof' at a picture of a dog at 12 months - no chance of that here!!

Twink - I take it you have decided to apply for the job then? Fingers crossed for you hun

KZ - can you elaborate on the 'guidance' you are giving R? Josh appears to think that the word 'no' means to giggle and then carry on whatever it was he was doing so would appreciate any advice.

HC - glad the trip was good. about Em's elephant though.

DH is now away until Thursday so I have got the computer back for a while . When he is working from home, he sets up his laptop in front of the PC and hogs the office - how dare he? Anyone would think he had work to do or something!

Need to go to Mothercare aswell today - ordered 2 1.0 tog grobags and the ordering got completely cocked up and I ended up with 6!! Whoops

Hope you all have a good day x

Hi Girls!!
Ar ais aris! (I'm back!)
Missed you all, and I'm so glad to be home. The babies too, they were very unsettled over there, and slept really well last night in their own beds (well, our bed...).
It was nice to see the family, and the new arrival (Rachel Aine (awn-ya, Irish for Ann)) who was born very quickly on the Monday evening before we went over. She was 7 lb 15 oz, and seems so diddy compared to Kayley (who by the way is 11 months today!! Happy birthday to Thomas, Abbey, and Amelia!!)
Hope you've all been well, and I'll catch up with all the posts over the rest of the day.

Ceebee74 · 18/06/2007 13:18

Annie - welcome back - it has been so quiet without you

I can see that you are envisaging a busy day at work today if you are going to catch up on all the posts

prettymum · 18/06/2007 13:23

Happy birthday Thomas, Abbey, and Amelia and Kayley!!

Pav- isnt bella clever!! talking already!! junior just keeps saying dadadadada!

just found out yesterday dps cousins girlfriend is 6 months pregnant, carrying a little boy!!
went over to dps aunts to pick up dc and met cousins gf for first time. she was wearing all black, about half an hour after meeting i kept looking at her belly and i realised it looked big! i took him to to kitchen and asked and he confirmed!! im soooo excited!! to be honest im more excited about his baby than my sisters, because i know i wont get to know her baby as i always have to meet my sister secretly!

both dc sleeping now so going to take advantage and clean!

prettymum · 18/06/2007 13:24

Annie- welcome back!!!

ImpyChica · 18/06/2007 14:28

Blimey Pav, Bella's a genius! She sounds adorable.

LOL at teaching Harry some Timberlake grooving, Bloss! Remember he's a British boy - swaying slightly while holding a pint glass is about as good as it gets.... Poor Ryan's gonna be so confused - bad-dancing-British-boy-genes raised in wiggly-hips-Enrique-Iglesias-style-Spain....

Yeah, Bead, that hv's visit was really worth your time! Great news about Charlotte being on the move.

KZ don't beat yourself up about forgetting if he didn't remember mother's day!!!

Hope you manage without DH for a few days, CB. Sounds like you'll be MN-ing to your heart's content though!

Was going to try and be a smarty pants and write something back in gaelic Annie, but then read that word order and grammar can change meanings of words - so didn't want to insult your mother's pear tree or anything by mistake.... So, anyway, welcome back! Glad you had fun. And happy 11th month b-day to Kayley, (and Thomas, Abbey and Amelia).

I was just thinking about your family arrangement the other day Pretty - I really feel for you and think you're doing amazingly without support from your parents. Such a shame you can't share in your sister's pregnancy more openly. Great news about the cousin's girlfriend though!

Have a good Monday y'all. Impy x

HumphreysCorner · 18/06/2007 14:51

Hi all

Glad you had a great time Annie.

Pav-clever little Bella. Sophie is just babbling.

prettymum-what brill news about the baby. She hasn't long to go.

Had a good day yesterday. The Inlaws gave us some tickets for the local Steam Train that runs every now and again so we went on that. Afterwards we met MIL & FIL at an open gardens do that was on nearby and they ended up buying us tea in a pub. I stayed chilled until they tried to give Emma a cup of tea and then we ended up arguing and I could hear them talking about it in the other room. Er-our children, not theirs. Just because they gave their DC tea at 2 yrs old doesn't mean they have to do that to ours. Have been rooting around for information to show them on the perils of giving young children tea.

Actually feel poorly today, all shivery and achey so hope nothing bad is coming on. Really can't face my WW job but don't want to let my friend down.

Here are some photos of Emma's elephant minutes before she left him in the Trading Post Shop.

Longleat

Elephant and Em in May 07

Might start a thread asking if anyone found Elephant at Longleat as there were lots of children there and lots of MNetters I'm sure.

Love to all.

Hey Girls!
Thanks for all the welcome backs!! (Failte ar ais, Impy, it's easy really!!)
Lots to catch up on!

Impy, how's DH? Is it good to have him home??

Pretty, congrats to your DP's cousin and girlfriend. I hope things work out with your family, at least you can see your sister in secret though, that's better than not at all.

Ceebee, LOL at your faith in my work!! Well, funny enough, you're right. Boss is away, and I've done all I can for today, though I have offered to 'help' another colleague... He's still at lunch though.

Pav, Bella sounds adorable! So clever!! With the talking and the walking. Wow!
Yesterday, I said Ready Steady to Joey, and she said GO! And repeatedly!! And delightedly!! She points at everything now, when she wants something.

Beadmum, congrats to Charlotte on the crawling. Silly moo of a HV...

Bloss, you are very energetic!! Good for you!
LOL at the dog poo story...

Girls I have to do some work now, but I'll be back later on. Now then, where's that microscope kept again...

Annie

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 18/06/2007 15:02

X-post HC, poor Em, I hope you can find her elephant somewhere. The photos are lovely by the way, you look great! And as ever your girls are gorgeous. x

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 18/06/2007 15:37

PS did anyone see David Beckham and Real Madrid winning La Liga last night? His three boys came out on the pitch with him at the end. So cute!! So proud!! I want three boys now... (Bloss, you have a chance...)

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 18/06/2007 15:37

(As you can see, that work hasn't materialized. Lunch boy is still not back. And you think I'm a skiver?) (I did send a work email though)

Happy birthday to all the 11 month olds today!

I am planning DDs birthday party, we went to the woods to find a spot. I got sooooo excited!

She is teething today, really really grouchy, crying, very unlike her, dribbling like a fountain, wanting to be hugged, or played with, would not be alone for a second.

She did, however take another step. Deliberately this time. Sombre mood today, so appeared to be considering her every move. Stood, planned, walked, fell into my arms [proud mummy emoticon].

She also put her bricks back into her box and put the lid on. Mind you, it took concentration, obvious phsyical effort as the lid is as big as she is!
