March 2007 - breakaway thread for lardy ladies

Thought I would start a separate thread for those of us on the March thread who are trying to lose weight etc so we can support each other without troubling the others with our food talk etc.

I'll start - have lost 8 1/2 lbs through Weightwatchers since DD2 born, with about another 2 stone to go.

Have done OK today, although I had 2 biscuits at a friend's house this morning. Not enough exercise either.

By the way, anyone from other months / years etc most welcome to join in

Let's see if we can help each other back to our former selves (or thinner in my case - my former self has ranged from a 12 to a large 16 over the years and I am aiming for the lower end again )

Well done foxy - at this rate you won't need the callanetics torture!

well so far i've had a banana, some chocolate and about 100 cashew nuts! Not the best breakfast but feeling a bit icky like mastitis might be trying to make a comeback - will take things easy today.

We chose 2 kittens for the kids yesterday... very cute - won't replace our lovely Alfie who got run over last year but it will be nice to have cats back in the home.

Will post piccies when they arrive in a couple of weeks.

muppethasakitten · 21/05/2007 10:22

Sorry - should be posting cat info on the other thread really shouldn't it?

foxcub · 21/05/2007 10:48

Muppet - have you got those breats nurse gel pads? I alweays bung them on when my boobs get a bit dodgy and they really seem to sort the problem by chasing off blocked ducts.

BTW my tummy is really flabby so deffo need the calanetics stomach vid (which I haven't watched yet)

How is everyone else?

I've just had mega bowl of porridge and now am thinking about green and blacks...

Shrinkinglily · 21/05/2007 11:33

I am stuffing my face every day, I love food I had cranberry wheats this morning but missed my porridge!
Have had sushi(reduced in sainsburys) for snacks and also of course some Maya Gold. Am off to walk now.
Am trying the seafood diet (see food and eat it )
Well done Fox with the size 14 bum now. I'm sure you look great.
Muppet I want kittens too ds2 is allergic though

DollyPopsOut · 21/05/2007 11:42

had toast and jam but no butter this am. Yest was Ok, but did have to have some choc> Went to health food shop on Sat and bought some espresso G and B - delish but at £3 a bar it'll have to last !

Fat fighters for me tomorrow - if have lost anything will be very pleased. Am so hungry all the time!

Typing with only 1 hand so more later when have both

i had my brekkie yoghurt this morning but had cheese on toast for lunch so not a good day sofar.still, better than my choc ice cream lunch of yesterday...maybe

im off the tablets for a couple of days now so im going to get a bottle of gin and some cranberry juice and make af come to visit!i know for a fact i'll lose at least 3lb when i come on and will stop craving carbs and choccy for at least 2 weeks.(plus i will start to feel like 'excersising')

muppethasakitten · 21/05/2007 14:25

bad day today... being total slob and trying to fight off this mastitis. Off to make hot chocolate to comfort myself... aching all over feeling v. sorry for myself. Just ate whole malt loaf...

TheBlonde · 21/05/2007 18:19

Well I have eaten rather a lot today but overall it's not been too bad

DS has refused his dinner so I ate half of it

foxcub · 21/05/2007 21:49

I've had:

late brekkie: huge bowl of porridge
late lunch - usual salad & hummous
2 ryvitas and cheese
1 banana
bar of green & blacks
1 bottle decaff beer
2 glasses leaded cava

Supper: starver-buster 3 bowls of salted popcorn

Shrinkinglily · 21/05/2007 21:50

slurp

foxcub · 21/05/2007 21:54

Shrinky - get thee away from that bread!!!!!!

divastrop · 21/05/2007 22:19

decaff beer?

i had cheese on toast for tea as well.naughty diva.

not going to eat tomorrow

kittyhas6 · 21/05/2007 22:39

I'm really trying to reduce my carb intake. I've been off the bread since this thread started and am SO bloody hungry ALL the time.

muppethasakitten · 22/05/2007 11:08

Must eat well today.

Think i'm shaking off this mastitis... boob still very red and sore but no temperature now.

Spent the night wrapped in a blanket and duvet with head poking out the top! Looked like a little peruvian lady in a poncho.

Determined to go riding tomorrow and have a couple of hours to myself. Will have to bandage boobs up if necessary. At least i no longer feel as though i have flu.

Muesli for brekkie = good
mango and banana for snack = good
half bar chocolate and packet of wine gums = bad, bad, bad...

might go and try my callanetics if my muscles are up to it?...

foxcub · 22/05/2007 11:17

Diva - love the new pic of Elsie and DD

Kitty - porridge, porridge and more porridge is what you need my girl!

Muppet - gklad your boob is settling. I have a mangled nip now from Monti being sleepy the past 24 hours and not latching well

Just had HUGE bowl of porridge for brekkie (smug emoticon)

foxcub · 22/05/2007 11:18

Sorry Diva, I meant unleaded beer.

Have you got a hangover too? I have....

Shrinkinglily · 22/05/2007 11:21

Cranberry wheats for breakfast followed by two flakes.
What can I use for a boost instead of chocolate? I need help!
I'm tired and drained at the start of the day so How can I drag myself through the humdrum day without the entertainment of chocolate?
mope.

foxcub · 22/05/2007 11:23

Shrinky - I'm the last one to try and advise on how to give up chocolate....

divastrop · 22/05/2007 11:33

hangover-yes.but only cos i was up till 3.30 am

i keep eating chocolate as well, but thats cos af still hasnt arrived despite the gin.

ive had a small choc bar and a yoghurt and a banana sofar.and a slice of bread.its easier to give up smoking than give up bread

foxcub · 22/05/2007 11:38

Easier to give up smoking, bread and alcohol than give up chocolate....

Shrinkinglily · 22/05/2007 11:42

Foxy, you are still managing to lose weight and have a healthy diet including chocolate. I wana be like you hoo hoo
I get all dysfunctional about it.
So plan of action, more porridge and only good quality chocolate I think!

foxcub · 22/05/2007 15:00

Rosy I am being quite strict about food but allowing myself dark chocolate as I actually can't control my self with milk chocolate so its banished from the house! Still eating a whole bar of green and blacks a day though (or the cheaper Tescos equivalent)

Am walking 5 miles a day to school and back (twice a day)

the hard thing, I find, is to stop eating once I'm full, rather than carrying on 'cso I'm enjoying eating IYSWIM

TheBlonde · 22/05/2007 20:22

Just popping on to confess my sins - 2 pieces choc cake and a whole bag of haribo

It could be worse, I could have eaten the whole cake

divastrop · 22/05/2007 20:23

fox-i have that problem,i cant stop eating even if im full.i blame my childhood and being made to clear my plate at every meal!
