Thought I would start a separate thread for those of us on the March thread who are trying to lose weight etc so we can support each other without troubling the others with our food talk etc.

I'll start - have lost 8 1/2 lbs through Weightwatchers since DD2 born, with about another 2 stone to go.

Have done OK today, although I had 2 biscuits at a friend's house this morning. Not enough exercise either.

By the way, anyone from other months / years etc most welcome to join in

Let's see if we can help each other back to our former selves (or thinner in my case - my former self has ranged from a 12 to a large 16 over the years and I am aiming for the lower end again )

Fellow fatties

THis will make you feel better - yest I ate

Muesli
Banana
Geen beans
Tomatoes
Grilled lamb

GOOD!

Also

3 glasses of wine
2 packets crisps
3 chocolate biscuits
half a bowl of chips
A fairy cake.

Less good! Alas, yesterday was a day when I just had to eat and (esp) drink. The 3 glasses were not all at once though. hope today is better!

dollypops

you know what u have to do!!

Shrinkinglily · 19/05/2007 10:29

I feel groggy today like a slight hangover...I need sugar!
So, going to drink plenty of water, possibly take some paracetamol and carry on with my cold turkey.

sigh.

Shrinkinglily · 19/05/2007 10:38

My first year at college was in halls of residence sharing with a group of 12 to one kitchen.
It was a brilliant year, but one person was bullimic and one anorexic. By the end of the year we all had an unhealthy attitude to food.
I had put on 2 stone because I used to eat socially with the bullimic but then she would throw it up and i just piled on the pounds

So I went home and jogged and ate alot of apples all summer and lost the weight. sigh. It was easy in those days....

Now 5 vegetables a day, is that fruit and veg?
Does a whole pineapple count for 3 fruits?

divastrop · 19/05/2007 12:18

ive had a yoghurt sofar.

rosy-i didnt know you could get sugar withdrwal symptoms?

im getting alcolhol withdrwal symptoms psychological ones that is.a glass of wine used to be the only thing i had to look forward to in the evening!

kittyhas6 · 19/05/2007 13:12

Still off the bread, still really wanting the bread.
Had breakfast toast

fish and veg stirfry for lunch, cheese, still really hungry , think I need carbs.

But there is a real difference to my tum already. Have been doing tummy exercises in the evening. I'm not giving up the booze though

sazzybee · 19/05/2007 13:31

no bread for 2 days. am now v hungry. if i can keep e asleep for long enough am thinking of breaking couscous monotony with bacon and eggs. must be lo-cal if there are no carbs involved

foxcub · 19/05/2007 16:41

Hiya

I received Callanetics vid this morning Muppet/Kitty - it is wonderful. Howevere, do I have to do the excercises now?

The "behind/hips 1" one looks very scary - sort of one leg twisted uncomfortably at the front, another round the back of the neck. Makes the bum lift by 10 inches or so it claims. Do either of you do these?

So far had 4 weetabix for brekkie

Healthy salad for luch with cheese/hummous for fillers

half a bar of green & blacks

naughties: 1 bottle of beer and two of DD's sweets

Will have salad and a wee bit of pasta for supper

Walked about 5 miles though, with Phil & Teds in its element and poor DS1 running alongside, shouting "mummy, I'm getting too sweaty"!

BTW I really do think bread makes loads of difference. Give it 3 weeks and if your tum doesn't reduce, I'll eat my Callanetics video!

muppethasakitten · 19/05/2007 18:04

Ooooh foxy you're gonna have some fun with those vids! Isn't Callan Pinkney hilarious!

Well I started the day with mango and muesli, salad for lunch with cheddar and it's all been down hill.... just polished off whole bar of swiss choc and now feel sick.

Am washing it down with glass of white wine to make myself feel less sick.

Ham, couscous and runner beans for tea... does that sound a weird combo? Can't be bothered to cook much as dh is living it up at Lords and has left me with the 3 dc's.... grrrrrr....

foxcub · 19/05/2007 18:17

Muppet that sounds very much like my daily diet too. Lots of healthy stuff, with wine and chocolate!

That Pinkey woman looks like the body of a 15 year old with the head of a 65 year old attached.

which are your favourite excercises.

BTW see what you and Kitty meant about the music! (that's a blow job emoticon)

Shrinkinglily · 19/05/2007 18:41

Diva, I think I have a sugar problem. And cold turkey shmurkey, today I cheated with marmalade on granary bread, later jam on granary bread and then stuff it 6 chocolate hobnobs Plus porridge for breakfast, pasta for lunch amnd curry for tea.
Boy I can eat
Funny enough I haven't lost any weight yet

kittyhas6 · 19/05/2007 19:07

Foxy I prefer to say the execises I dislike the least !!

The 2 bum ones, the underarm one and the thigh ones

I hate the scoop one and the waist one makes my arms ache. If I go through a whole tape I can't move for ages

muppethasakitten · 19/05/2007 19:13

I also hate the waist stretch (or as Kitty and I now like to call it, the old elephant granny stretch)...

... I completely struggle with the pelvic ones and I feel a total prize prat doing the one for your legs where you have to put your heels together, bend your knees and tip your pelvis up.... I mean really

foxcub · 19/05/2007 19:56

Oh, so there aren't actually any you like then?

TheBlonde · 19/05/2007 21:29

I see I am going to have to ask my mom to send me the old Callanetics vid then - seems to be compulsory!!

I have had a reasonable day food wise & I listened to the Paul McK CD again - well I fell asleep after 5 mins but I'm sure my subconscious was listening

foxcub · 20/05/2007 17:13

New Alert!!!

I am now officially size 14 round my butt!!!

I have been size 16 for 7 years, since PG with DS1.

A round of applause please!

Celebrated by buying myself some skinny arse jeans...
