I never realised Cornwall was so far away

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 16:13

We're off to cornwall in September i can't wait for cream teas

We've made a small start on getting stuff out of the attic today.

for competition win flame.

Did somebody mention something about a playhouse or something

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/05/2007 16:27

Did they pg? What a coincidence - we're having one built today (and tomorrow) too. The men are here working under a tarpaulin to protect them from the rain!

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 17:14

Rain?? Its sunny but windy here.

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 17:26

Flame - you know when re-claiming bank charges how long do you give them to reply to letter 2. I only sent it today and we only have £150 to reclaim but its better in my pocket than theirs.

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 17:28

it was you that's done it wasn't it? or am i confused again

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 17:35

WE have to have the playhouse mentioned.

Anyone seen Dew lately?

Did my interview for the radio thing (got the creative team calling next week to plan the actual ad). I don't know how insane I sounded

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/05/2007 18:10

Was wondering about her earlier, but no posts since early Feb (unless she's changed names).

How about 'Feb 06 - A playhouse full of toddlers!'

Forgot to say earlier, but phoned vicar today and fixed date for dd's Christening (at last). We can't have it during the service on the day we wanted, as there's one being done already, and with our anticipated numbers it would be too much for the church to cope with, so it's the same day, but at 12:15 instead - nightmare re sleep and feed times!

I'm off out tonight btw, to a pamper evening at the local primary school - really can't be arsed, but got roped into it, and now have treatments booked, which should at least be nice (reflexology and indian head massage). Think it finishes around 10, so should manage to hop on here quickly afterwards. I'll actually miss the Pampered Chef demo, which is the thing I would most like to see, as that's at 7:30, but I won't get there until 8:30.

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 18:11

What about 'P**s up in the playhouse for the Feb '06 mummies'

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 18:15

I like!

Enjoy your rubbin (MRM will want to be there, she likes a bit o rubbin she does )

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 18:17

I like the piss up one too

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 18:17

Possibly save that for the week before said piss up

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 18:31

I stuck ds on the bathroom scales today and he is 26lb 6oz (12kg) which makes him in between the 75th and 91st centile lines.

Frizbe · 10/05/2007 18:43

lol at piss up one, how's about 'OMG the playhouse roof is on next doors waterfall ' well that's what happened here with the gusy wind, thankfully it didn't end up in the Koi Carp....they'd have cost me a bomb to re buy and repair.....

So all kids v tired and in bed early here blame my mate for enthusiastically getting them out of bed early (for them) at 7 this morning!

So hurrah for playhouse
and hurrah for Advert Flame
and hurrah for hols MRM and for lodger as well, and for dh doing sit ups etc with you!

So macca what you having done re driveway? block paving or summat?

Jas, thanks for the Gina link Hope you feeling ok today?

So what have the rest of you been upto today, Phoenix, Chloe and Kel amongst others?

We've played with my mate this am, then went to dd1's baby group at someones house for lunch/play, then back home via Homebargins and Tesco, oh and whom ever was looking for the floor squares for the garden, Homebargins (if you have one) appear to have these in several formats, inlcuding giant chequers, giant o and x's, giant dominoes etc!

Frizbe · 10/05/2007 18:43

ello phoenix!

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 19:20

Hello,

Ds is finally in bed now. He's been quite whingy all day and had no afternoon nap so was very tired. I've neurofened him for bed with him been whingey and he's had a snotty nose too so just to be safe. We were ready to take him to bed at 5 but he came round again, then again at 6 and he came round again so finally took him at his usual 7.

Aaarrrgghh thought he was asleep but he's crying again.

Nothing interesting done here today Friz

Chloe55 · 10/05/2007 19:33

Hiya!

I lived in Devon for 6tmths when I did my vet nurse training - I ate lots of cream eas and they are the most gorgeous thing in the whole world!!!!

Right, I have 4wks to get slim. My friend is moving to Ibiza on Wed and I am arranging to go and see her for a few days mid-June (minus the child!, and the hubby!!) so joined a gym today, I will be slim, I will be slim.

My house smells awful upstairs and I have no idea why. We had a beef stirfry tonight which was delicious and smelt gorgeous in the kitchen, I have been into ds' room and slyly checked his nappy whilst he was asleep and it isn't him, I have no idea what it could be. I think it must be the stirfry which has just left a foisty smell upstairs coz it didn't smell earlier and I have searched high and low for any other possible solution! Weird

Well done Flame!

Frizbe · 10/05/2007 19:46

ick for weird smells! I'm currently cooking tea and netting! as dh has only just got in bearing in mind he went out at 5.30am this is not good, poor bloke is knack'd.

Boo for poorly kiddies/teething kiddies as well more drugs, nurofen this time I reckon

Chloe55 · 10/05/2007 19:51

What's netting?

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 19:56

Forgot to say I got a letter at work yesterday detailing our pay rise. We're getting 2 options to choose from Option 1 -A £600 non-pensionable lump sum - equivalent to £11.54 a week but in a single up front payment (pro-rata for less than full time) and Option 2 - A 2.5% on basic. This is £8.09 a week (pro-rata for less than full time) on basic pay.

God knows what i'm gonna choose.

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 19:59

I was wondering that too chloe.

Jelley · 10/05/2007 19:59

internetting, I assume

I like the piss up in the playhouse title, too

Jelley · 10/05/2007 19:59

Or mumsnetting...

PhoenixGirl · 10/05/2007 20:00

Ahhhh that makes sense jel

Jelley · 10/05/2007 20:52
