Bloody hell, they must be something special? Xray vision ones, or pure gold frames? Mine were £125 for 2 pairs!

Yep, the hair is brown. Am soo tempted to do mine a plum colour but a)its so long its a hassle to do and b) then you have to keep doig it when your roots show, for which I dont have time or patience!

Flame, I just got 10 mins lie down, until ds1 heard the ice cream van, so we ended up gonig to the corner shop to get him a mini milk
But I did manage to get my 5km down to 31 mins 2 secs this morning, which is heading in the right direction. Going to try and get another run in before I watch the Joseph thing tonight! I think it'll be a quicky though, as I'm running out of energy and inclination. I've just wasted 10 mins trying to programme the treadmill in a way it really doesnt want to be programmed Dh is going to look at it to avoid watching Joseph tonight!

I want one of those Bilibo things too They look excellent. I'm sure ds1 could do alot of damage to himself and others with one!

Chloe, I'm on your side too I think it'd be a bit different if you were actually losing money by working, but even breaking even is fine because you're doing something you really enjoy and get something out of. I'd love to be in that position!

ChasingSquirrels · 21/04/2007 15:37

i got a pack of walls lollies from netto - 1 magnum, 2 cornettos, 2 twisters, 3 orange ices and 5 mini-milks - for £1.99. ds1 wants the cornettos lol, and ds2 is LOVING mini-milks.
We make yoghurt lollies in the summer, ds1 said the other day could we make a double-colour one, so will have to look for some yoghurts that have a bit of colour.
at that much for glasses.
ds1 had an octagonal trampoline for xmas when he was 15mo from inlaws, they didn't seem to appreciate that there was just no way he could use it without the handle accross the top, apparently "it would last him for much longer" !!! We have now got a big one in the garden so the octagonal one has hardly ever been used. ds1 loves going on the big one aswell.

mustrunmore · 21/04/2007 15:39

Ooo, I like deals like that No netto near us though.

Chloe55 · 21/04/2007 15:46

Yeah, I'm thinking of going a plum colour MRM - I have messed this colour up a bit and have missed bits round my ear and it has faded sooooooooo quickly, I used to love having my hair this colour a few years ago but am just not that keen this time for some reason. Would love to go back blonde (I go blonde for the summer usually) but just can't afford to do it this year.

£800 at glasses!

Flamesparrow · 21/04/2007 15:55

comments on my link pleaes ladies....

back for proper read soon

Chloe55 · 21/04/2007 16:04

The picture itsefl doesn't look girly I don't think Flame, however the stripes look red and white so it would be hard to judge without seeing them properly.

Flamesparrow · 21/04/2007 16:54

£800 for glasses!?!?!?!

Jelley · 21/04/2007 17:49

Hair looks nice, but brown.

Stripy trousers are too girly for me probably. Is that the only colour you can get?

I paid over £200 for 2 pairs of glasses a few years ago, but £800 still seems alot for 4!

We've been at the farm all day (didn't go til 11 as dp got up (no prompting) and let me lie in til10!)

Flamesparrow · 21/04/2007 17:59

They are being offered to me in the popper wrap version cheaply... think I'm gonna get em anyway - they are going to be mainly night use anyway

for interrupted lay down MRM

Jelley · 21/04/2007 18:10

Oh, well if they are for your ds and cheap then they are not girly at all, they are fine

Chloe I agree with everyone else. The only circs I would be persuaded to give up a job I love is if a) ds was unhappy at nursery or b) I was losing money by working.
I hope your dh sees sense. Surely a happy working mum is much better than a miserable resentful sahm.

PhoenixGirl · 21/04/2007 18:29

I had my boobs measured at contessa today. They said they only measure the back size and take a rough guess at cup size then do a fitting cos all bras are different. So measured my back at 44 but said i'd prob get away with 42 or maybe 40 or in some bras 38. The ones i liked went up to 38 so she brought a 38F. It fit perfect, so what is the point in measuring? So i got me 2 new bras for £15 (on offer) should have been £16 each so a bargain. I'm gonna get some more next week

I'll be back properly later, just wanted to share that with u

Jelley · 21/04/2007 19:50

bargain bras

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 20:04

I got sunburnt

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 20:24

I do really like John Barrowman. He never seems to grow any older!

mustrunmore · 21/04/2007 21:11

Who?

I'm only on here to kill time till the Joseph results. Seamus has to stay in, for my own personal pleasure.

I must say I'm very impressed with the bargain bras. M+S do 'fitting' not 'measuring' too now, not even a back measure. They start with what you're wearing, and its hit and miss until you get the right fit. Well, I was pleased with my new e cup , until all you huge chested people put me to shame

No run tonight, as I opted to wash my hair instead . Going to go for long and slow tomorrow morning (oh, how I wish that could feasibly be a double entendre...)

Have made a mock duck stew tonight too (oi csws, where's my slow cooker recipes??!!)

I quite like the stripes.

Poor you macca, although prob your own fault! I think ds2 got a bit too much sun today He's not red or anything, but was a bit hot too the touch, had a stupid late nap (4 till 5), and was sooo grizzly when he woke up for about 40 mins. Then he went all dozey during his tea, and was fighting to stuff his roast spuds and fish in his mouth before he fell asleep! In the end, I just calpoled him, and he perked up!

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 21:16

Thought you were watching Joseph? Hes one of the judges!!

It was my own fault, but I didn't realise it was so hot. If I'd have known I'd have slapped us all in cream since we are all so pale. I must get some more P20.

No gym here this morning, I couldn't be bothered. Was gardenin this pm so I never made it then either. I must do something tomorrow.

csws, you must ahve designer tatse for £800 glasses, not a specsaver special then?!

Flamesparrow · 21/04/2007 21:20

Mock duck stew... summat pretending to be a duck, or a duck running round with some veg pretending to be a stew?

I've forgotten how I was meant to make the veg sauce too CSWS (and have to test out a slow cooker for mum)... so pleeeeeeeeeeease can that be added to your list of jobs.

I opted for Grease in the end... ALW freaks me out a bit!

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 21:22

It's the way he talks with his eyebrows

Flamesparrow · 21/04/2007 21:24

Is it worrying that I actually found David Gest less creepy?

Jelley · 21/04/2007 21:25

I wish I had even the slightest clue who you are talking about.

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 21:27

Lloyd Weber or Gest?

He's not so creepy because after his stint on celebrity we got used to his freaky looks.

Jelley · 21/04/2007 21:30

Ok now I've worked out who they both are. Just don't know why they are a topic of conversation. Are they both on the Joseph thing? Never watched it...

2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 21:30

I made a lovely chicken balti tonight but I ruined it by eating a misippi mud pie. I am so stuffed I can hardly walk. I don't even know why I ate it as I really didn't fancy it at all

Dh making the bed with lovely fresh sheets, washed with a little rose oil to freshen them up. I am so looking forward to climbing into bed.

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/04/2007 21:31

Strong wine - can't remember much of what I've read.

My glasses are both Ted Baker I think. Dh's are Ted Baker and Armani.

You know, I was thinking only a couple of days ago that I was supposed to do slow cooker recipes for someone, and I couldn't remember if I had or not, but figured that if I hadn't someone would have reminded me by now! Why oh why didn't you remind me before we came down the other week?!

Flame - some combination of peppers, aubergine, courgette, mushrooms, a bit of garlic and some tinned tomatoes. Cook for ages. I blend it now so that it's all thick and coats the pasta, so that dd can't avoid eating it. She had it for dinner tonight in fact, as she ate before us for once. (We had fillet steak with baked potatoes, salad and walnut bread - yum yum).

I can't remember the name of any of the Josephs - is the one you want to keep the one with curly hair who is currently an understudy?

Bought a cosy coupe grande on e-bay today. Going to be bidding for a little tikes kitchen this week to go in the playhouse. There are several going near me. mrm - I have you to blame for all this e-bay business!

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 21/04/2007 21:32

no, ALW is Joseph, anf Gest is Grease. Never seen either until tonight!

oh, I wonder if I've won the lottery tonight, let me go check my numbers....
