I've got a great pic of me as a vampire a few years ago(when I was 'friends' with a photographer ). Unfortunately, I still cant work the scanner

Flamesparrow · 09/05/2007 21:10

"Friends" like Kel's friend?

Jelley · 09/05/2007 21:16

Hello

mustrunmore · 09/05/2007 21:22

yeah, kind of. Had to stop being friends when his parents arranged a marriage for him, to the girl that worked in Boots

Flamesparrow · 09/05/2007 21:28

Hello

@ girl who worked in Boots. Was that their selection criteria?

DH's ex worked in Boots. They're all clearly evil in there

mustrunmore · 09/05/2007 21:44

I felt quite sorry for her really. She was only 17, he was 33 (which is a good age gap IMO), but he was pretty dull and chauvanistic as a partner. Imagine living in a marriage like that, in the same house as your inlaws? I loved him, but no way on earth would I have got tied up like that to him.

Flamesparrow · 09/05/2007 21:45

argh no

mustrunmore · 09/05/2007 21:47

BTW, at school, when we had the careers fair thing, they had a woman from Boots amongst other places, who told me I wasnt pretty enough to work for them

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2007 21:48

I went for an interview in Boots when I was 15. Woman there was pure evil.

Holiday may be sorted Friz - just waiting to hear back from my parents. We're hopefully all going here for the first 2 weeks in Sept, but staying in a friend's sister's mobile home there.

Great news on the physio Jelley .

BITCH!

When I was working at Barclays they had a group of school kids go round, and the teacher with them told them that this was why they had to work hard and get A Levels etc so they didn't end up doing data entry like that

The fact that a) I had good A Levels and b) One of the only ways to get up within Barclays is to start at the bottom seemed to have passed her by

Envy
mustrunmore · 09/05/2007 21:54

Bet csws will do this then

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2007 22:08

Took me a moment to work out that flame wasn't actually calling me a bitch for some unfathomable reason!

mrm - that's how the owners of the home we'll be staying in ended up with it - they went on holiday there, and came back home owners!

But I've got a lovely abs ache from some floor exercises dh helped me do (think he's finally admitted the ab machine just doesnt work for me!).

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2007 22:24

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2007 22:33

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2007 23:13

What kind of odd?

You know we are up to 896 messages already on this thread - pleeeaaasssse someone else think of a suitably inoffensive title for the next one.

Off to bed now - let's see if radar ears wakes up when I go upstairs again.
