PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 22:06

When i first mentioned it dh said no, but the more i'm talking about it the more he's coming round to letting me

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 22:06

According to Mapquest, 2 hrs 21 mins. We're 15 mins from junction 10 of M1, or Junctions 6-8 of A1.

As long as it isn't Jul 28th as his birthday is the 25th and we're going out then

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 22:08

Oh that's better than what dh thought he said 3-4 hours.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 22:21

Def won't be then - the MN summer picnic is that weekend!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 03/05/2007 22:50

can't do either of your dates Phoenix, working both! I'm currently free 4th Aug and 11th Aug, if its summer hols, booked up for the rest (if you want me to come that is )

MRM for the feet, bare foot r u now?

Chloe, Personally I'd go for the room in the cottage and just enjoy my time without little un, but this is just cause I ended up driving at the last wedding we went to and stayed at a travel lodge (mind you I was bf ) but normal practice here is to fight over the driving, so any chance of both of us drinking is bonus

May just point out that patio is a drop from the door, if it were same level I'd have happily let her climb out and fall over, iuswim

Frizbe · 03/05/2007 22:51

PS: If I don't get back on have a fabby weekend all, I'm off to work in wales again, praying that the rain misses us on Sun/mon, but I doubt it somehow, you may await my stories of 2 x dd's in a tent in the rain with glee

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 22:55

Friz - those dates r just when i'm off but if its only 2-3 hours away i can go after work and like i said if i know a few weeks in advance my parents will have Lew if it falls when dh is working.

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 22:56

Have a great weekend friz

Frizbe · 03/05/2007 22:57

cheers dears!

Jelley · 04/05/2007 05:50

Have a lovely time Frizbe.

I'm free evry weekend except the August bank holiday

DS was up at 5.15. By 5.25 dp was swearing and asking me to take him downstairs. A lovely start to the day.

2boysmacca · 04/05/2007 07:34

Same here. Ds woke at 4.30 and didn't really settle. dh got up for his shower 20 mins early which worked well as my parents were staying downstairs. They are off to France this morning but have left the house a tip. I wouldn't normally mind but we're going away for the weekend too and I like a tidy house to come back to.

I'm glad I didn't make the gym yesterday, pilates was quite tough. My legs are really tight this morning so I'm happy . I've lost another 2lbs. Only three more to go to be pre ds2 weight but 11 for pre ds. Not aiming for that though!

We're out for a curry tonight with some friends. Then we're meeting up again tomorrow with the kids at the Wetlands centre. Sunday we are heading over to SE London to meet up with Dh's uni friends. They are trying to be child friendly and all meeting int he park not sure that will work!

Better get the car loaded. Have a good weekend all

mustrunmore · 04/05/2007 08:34

Off to clarks in a bit

At the moment, I'm free weekends:
July only7/8!
August: 4/5 and 25/26
September 1/2

But there would be a couple of others if I had the kids with me

Flamesparrow · 04/05/2007 08:41

I should probably veto the Sept one... DH's birthday 31st Aug

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/05/2007 08:45

Crappity crap night from crapsville here. Dd woke at 11:50, 10 mins after we'd gone to bed. Wouldn't sleep unless I was cuddling her. Eventually gave up putting her back in her cot, and brought her in with me, kicking dh out to the spare room. She would then only sleep lying on me, and had a nightmare getting her back to sleep every time she woke. She helped herself to milk, and clawed, pulled, poked, sucked, bit on me throughout the night.

Knackered now.

awww

Is now not a good time to mention not having been up with Emrys this week?

Flamesparrow · 04/05/2007 17:34

Aww c'mon guys - I know I was a tad evil but there's not need for the silent treatment!!!

Jelley · 04/05/2007 17:53

I'm sulking because I didn't win a nappy today.

Jelley · 04/05/2007 17:53

I'm sulking because I didn't win a nappy today.

Flamesparrow · 04/05/2007 17:59

I'm sorry I was hoping for you!!

Jelley · 04/05/2007 18:10

Me too.

Jelley · 04/05/2007 18:12

At least I know if I ever do win it won't be a cheat.

ds is tired and whinging. He's had a bath and milk already, and I'm not sure I'll be able to keep him up til 7. I'm just worried if I put him to bed early he will think 5.15 is a good time to get up again tomorrow.

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/05/2007 20:11

lol at silent treatment! Haven't had a moment to sit down all day. Dd fell asleep on way back from toddlers, had 15 mins before I woke her (normally leave her asleep in car, but thought she might want a bigger nap than usual, so wanted to give her lunch first then put her in her cot), and when I went to put her down later she just moaned and chatted and screamed, but wouldn't go to sleep, so the 15 mins is all she's had all day. Was very tired and went straight off when I put down (earlier than normal) tonight. Pleeeaaaassse let her do 12 hours straight to make up for it all tonight!

The seat to put her on the back of my bike arrived yesterday, so I took her out for a little test ride this afternoon. As expected, she wasn't too keen on wearing a helmet! I didn't have one on today, as can't find a non-hideous one big enough for my head (most of the one-size ones don't fit), but dh then had a go and she still didn't want her helmet even though he was wearing one, so I know it wasn't just my lack of one causing it!

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/05/2007 22:22

My turn for the silent treatment then?
