Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 16:42

Sorry, did I make the mistake of saying what I would do, rather than telling you what you wanted to hear?

I would definitely go for the travelodge with just dh.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 16:43

and at 'I have been out plenty with mates since having ds'.

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 03/05/2007 16:44

Yes, you did exactly what a friend has done via email - can you guys just not read my mind or summat? Humph!!

I say plenty, I mean quite a few - luckily I have a lovely mother who will babysit for us once in a while

Chloe55 · 03/05/2007 16:48

Talking about having a laugh - shall we think about sorting out a big Feb meet at some point coz you know it will take months, a few changes of dates, a few jabs in the ribs etc etc before we get any definite plan.

Jelley · 03/05/2007 17:32

I would also go for the closer, cheaper option, Chloe, but then if you want the couple time, get your dh to say you don't want the room and stick to your original plan. Just don't get pressured into going out with the lads, then feeling sad that you've missed out.

Summer holiday meet up?

My ds has turned into a bulldozer. He is more than a little bit chunky but has taken to just pushing his way wherever he wants to go. Quite cute atm, but I can see the novelty wearing off.

2boysmacca · 03/05/2007 18:30

Not sure what I would do.

Didn't make the gym, felt crap. Really can't be arsed to go to pilates tonight but after the fuss I made last week when dh wanted to go out I can't really not go.

It's sooo cold. I haven't thawed out all day. Went out in a t-shirt and couldn't be bothered to put a jumper, now I'm suffering!

My sister was on some satellite Manchester tv today, she was horrified at how big she looked when they did a playback of the show. She was promoting her kiddycook business.

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 18:47

Aren't we meant to be having a p*ss up at CSWS's?

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 18:48

I would do the cheaper option too...

Would prefer bulldozer to nappy swiping gymnast

mustrunmore · 03/05/2007 19:53

Yep, I'd go for bulldozer rather than rock climber

I'd go for a fun time, not quality time with dh, for a whole host of reasons. But thats prob the wrong decision.

Flame and Chloe; you can either fight for the two pairs, or you can amicably decide on one pair each One are the Clarks Cica Lights trainers that Macca gave to me, blue, 2 thin velcro straps. The other pair are Clarks shoes in blue and beige, one wide velcro strap. Both are easily good enough to be passed on; bits of fluff in the velcro mind you and there's a bit of scuffing on the very tips of the second pair. Now, dont all clammer for them at once!

Am off to start a thread on my chances of a refund/exchange from Clarks; after 40 mins in my new sandals, I'm blistered and bleeding Dont think I can even face running.

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 20:22

I'm happy with the cast offs

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 20:24

for your feet - dunno about shoe exchanges though.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 20:35

We are indeed meant to be having a piss up here. I think Chloe just wants an actual date for it. We had said one of the weekends either side of my birthday, but the London picnic is one of those now, so we might want it another week instead. I'll hopefully know what date we're going on holiday within the next few days, so can we hold on until then so that we don't all agree to it and then I announce I won't be here .

Ouch for feet. Did they fit them and say they were right for you? If so you might stand a chance (if you make enough of a scene ), but if not, then I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Anyone watching panorama? Missed the first 20 mins, but watching now. Lots of v sad stories. Expect there's a thread - I'll go look.

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 20:40

With or without kids?

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 20:51

Without pg.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 03/05/2007 20:56

You have to make it a weekend dh isnt working

Suprised you havent linked to the panorama thread already csws

Got a bad feeling about my shoes

mustrunmore · 03/05/2007 20:57

Hey!! I did the 666 posting

Flamesparrow · 03/05/2007 21:02

Have told DH I'm soddin off without kids, so I'm fine whenever

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 21:05

Might be difficult for me. I've got no hols left at work and i work Saturdays so it'd have to fall on my Saturday off and as dh works shifts it'll need to be a weekend he's off too.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 21:19

Do you know what dates would work for you pg? Or what time do you finish on a Sat - could you come down afterwards (it's an overnighter)?

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 21:24

Well what month are we thinking of? I finish work at 1.30ish on a Sat

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2007 21:28

Oh heck, that's plenty of time to get down!
Aim is for July or August, during the school hols. That way we can try and fit another one in before Christmas .

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 03/05/2007 21:41

an allnighter? but surely we'd all sod off at 7pm and talk to each other via mumsnet

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 21:45

My saturdays off in july and august are 7th jul and 18th aug. But if i get it booked in it won't matter if dh is working cos my parents can look after lew. And if u think even if i'm working that it's plenty of time to get down then i can maybe do anytime too

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 21:46

Yeah macca but the csws have got loads of laptops

PhoenixGirl · 03/05/2007 21:54

So how long would it take to get to your house from Barnsley?
