Brain swelling doesn't mean anything other than a bad reaction does it?

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 30/04/2007 23:01

Probably not... but if he does it every time then it probably isn't overly good either. I will go see GP and see if there is anything else I should be doing to stop it.

He's got more in a couple of weeks, and its this ridiculously long reacting time that makes me put them off - a 4 week gap may be fine on the box, but when in reality he is miserable for the first whole week, he only gets 3 weeks to recover iysiwm.

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 07:33

What a night. Ds kept getting up and sneaking into my bedroom, he didn't settle until gone midnight Then ds2 woke at 4.30, was fed, put back to bed but he screamed for 5 minutes then settled. He woke again at 5 then settled. At 5.25 I kindly asked dh to get up since his alarm would be going off 5 minutes later. He moaned and groaned. I got up and put ds2 into bed with me and he just wriggled, smacked, stood up at the windows and made animal noises (his donkey and dog make me laugh so much). Dh took him from me at about 5.45 and I got to sleep until 6.05 when he sent ds2 up to give me a kiss. Unfortunately ds got up at 6.30 so he is going to be shattered today and they ahve creche and nursery.

Woohoo, the sandpit has just been delivered. The kind postman just brought it into the house for me. I will try and get it put up when ds2 is in bed this afternoon and ds is at nursery. Although still not got any sand so it'll look a bit daft!

If I don't get back on here later, I've killed myself tring to keep at pace 10 for 15 minutes on the treadmill

Better go get a shower so I have time for the P20 to start working before we go out.

Jelley · 01/05/2007 07:51

Morning,

I second a chat to the dr re injections, Flame. Has he got many more still due?

macca - will the creche and nursery keep them awake?
Good luckwith the run.

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2007 07:52

He's got 2 more to go - the second pneumovax, and the mmr....

Jelley · 01/05/2007 07:58

ds had thepneomovax two days after his birthday, so he doesn't need the booster

I don't want to lecture you as I know you find it hard any way. You've done well getting this far. Surely you can space them more if you want to (dd1 didn't get the mmr till she was 18 months because I didn't get the reminder).

I don't know what came over me on Sunday, going out for a jog like that... I even thought I may do it again Thankfully that seems to have worn off now, and I am back to sloth mode.

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 08:04

lol Jel

Dh has taken my ipod earphones

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2007 08:15

Oh thank god for that - I was startin to get worried about you Jas

@ you having said ipod

I will space them out a bit more (they hate it when I do that) - I wanna check and see if there is anything else I can be doing to make it less likely to happen/ease it. MMR - I don't want him to have it until he is the size of an 18 month old.

mustrunmore · 01/05/2007 08:22

Good job I went to bed at 8.30 last night, as we had a bad night too Lots of poo and waking and no room in our bed blah blah blah.
Lodger didnt turn up, after I made dh wait up to let him in incase he'd not got his keys!

Flame; I'd go and talk to the gp too.

Have ironed some combats this morning I think I must be getting middle aged; I've ironed about 6 items in the last week. Thats more than my usual annual total!

Er, are you dead then Macca??

mustrunmore · 01/05/2007 08:23

I'm thinknig of getting a cheap ipod for outdoor runs. Anyone recommend a good one. It really has to be very very cheap, but I only need it to hold an hour or so of music!

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 08:30

you want an ipod or an mp3? Can get some really cheap mp3's on the market. The cheapest ipod is the shuffle which is about £50. Are you due for a phone upgrade, get one with an mp3, that's your cheapest ption.

Not going til 10!

Just hoovered downstairs and dusted whils ds2 was in his playpen. why is my house so dusty?

Found dh's earphones for the pod but still as they fall out all the time so no good for use at the gym.

All hell broken loose boys arguing over the sky viewing card. Looks like ds2 has found a new game!

mustrunmore · 01/05/2007 09:02

Dunno. Which do I want? No phone upgrade; I'm on pay as you go (still hanging onto a really good old tariff that tmobile are desperate to get me off!!). I've been getting my friends old phone when he upgrades every year, but now he's going home for good, that wont be happening anymore

I'll be in toddler group hell at 10!

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 09:07

lots of running around there then!

mustrunmore · 01/05/2007 09:12

Tell me about it! There's 2 rooms, and ds2 just goes round in circles between the two all morning, so I cant even sit down in one vantage point and chat!

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 09:32

...and do you find you are the only mother doing it too?

PhoenixGirl · 01/05/2007 09:42

Flame - I've been looking round bumfluff and i think the tie dye sets are great.

ChasingSquirrels · 01/05/2007 09:48

definately up to you when/if you vax Flame, how are they hassling you? I know plenty of people who waited until 18mo for mmr.

Jelley · 01/05/2007 10:33

PG - hope you don't mind me using your message on Flames ad. I'm always looking for random bumping methods

I would have gone back and corrected my spelling if no one else posted by now

PhoenixGirl · 01/05/2007 11:02

Course i don't mind I never thought to put it on there.

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 12:06

Right, MRM, I'll make you feel better...

First, I need to make myself feel better by saying there were no treadmills when I first got there so I had to do a quick 7km on the bike, so I was knackered. I did 2.1km in 15 mins. i had to take it easy on pace 6.5 on incline 1.5 but I felt better so ranked it up to 10 (but went .5 incline) for the last 7.5 mins. I feel better for it now but I didn't at the time. See, told you I'd make you feel better. For the past few months I have been running at 8.5/9 on incline 2.

Ds2 broke his little heart again when I left him at the creche. Ds was taken there at such a young age because he'd never been awy from me before but with ds2 he is far more outgoing and not bothered who has him so I thought I'd have no problems. I hate leaving him when he's like that and it means I feel that I can't leave him on his own and go to the gym whilst ds is at nursery (would save me £2)

2boysmacca · 01/05/2007 14:39

Phew! Sandpit built. Have blisters on the palm of my hand. Just the canopy to put on and the sand to fill it! There's no base to it which is a bit of a pain, not sure if I should put something down or put it staraight onto the grss like that.

i now have 15 mins to relax before I get ds2 up and then go and get his brother from nursery, then onto Tesco to get some ingredients for tonights dinner. I feel as if I haven't stopped all day!

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2007 16:23

He has coldsores again and one blister on his tongue. Docs at 5pm, hopefully we'll get the meds early enough this time.

Chloe55 · 01/05/2007 17:38

Oh dear, sorry to hear that Flame

I have a migraine again - have had to just get through it today though on Migraleve because went to Cannon Hall for a picnic and refused to spend my only day off with ds attempting to keep him occupied in a darkened front room whilst I cry about the head pain and how I wanted to have a picnic today. Hasn't actually been as bad as they usually are, not sure if it is becuase I have been distracted or because I caught it early enough. He had a lovely day though

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2007 17:39

for migraine...

GP outcome

Couldn't give a shit about jabs reactions - apparently there a much less quanities of something or other in jabs now so reactions are less Tell that to my son.
