pirates scan down here Flame/MRM a few pirates for you, female ones too!!

Frizbe · 29/04/2007 22:53

Flame, defo get an accountant to do tax return do not attempt yourself! or is that just me being a huge chicken?

Macca, dd1 is having a spot of a phase like that, I just insist she tries one mouthful of whatever it is, when she plays up, then she can leave table, but have nothing else until breakfast. She last tried this tonight, we were out for dinner at friends! dh said to her 'eat or nothing else' she went for nothing else, he said, 'you'll loose your friday night treat next week if you say your hungry later on tonight' needless to say she's lost it!!
dd2 on the other hand, is insiting on feeding herself, and got cottage pie, with cream cheese, all over herself and quite a bit in her tummy too seems we have a left hander in the family!

Jelley and Phoenix the hols sound good, esp the cheapy Sun one, did one of their deals to France once, was good

Am trying to organise a girls weekend, for all my longstanding mates, in Oct, hopefully to Barcelona, as we've been on about it since my hen do! but due to various pregnancys not managed it, Barcelona watch out!

Frizbe · 29/04/2007 23:00

ooooh nearly forgot, bloomin dd2 bit me today, just randomly....getting a nice hug, when she bit me on the boob don't even feed her from the damn things, n she still gets me she's also pulled my hair today, when I had hands covered in soil what's happening to my little angel?

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 07:58

I have countless bite scars!

vinegar on mac cheese??????

Macca, the photos/vid are lovely. You look like you live at the seaside! Its just one of those seasidey roads; nice front gardens, and on a slope.Or maybe it just looks like that when you only see a bit if it!

2boysmacca · 30/04/2007 08:06

you mean pg!

What pace do you run at mrm on your treadmill if you were going to to 15 or 30 mins?

Jelley · 30/04/2007 08:10

You mean PG? I just went down to find maccas seaside pics, and found Lewis and his water pool. Lovely I like the wet suit, and am very impressed at how long he keeps his hat on for.

I do kwym about the seaside road though

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 08:12

Yes, I did mean that! see, I must've been thinknig of you

Er, if I was only going to run 15 mins, I'd prob do it at around 11.2kph. For 30 mins, I'd run about 10.3kph then increase it bit by bit to do a finale of 11ish. If I run longer than half hour, I usually start at 9.5, then decide if I can up it depending how long I decide to end up running. But if I know I'll do an hour, I'll only run at 9 with a very short sprint at the end; trying to improve on that now, as its shocking.
Does that sound crap?

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/04/2007 08:17

That sounds very precise! 11.2, 10.3 - dh would call me anal for that and say I should just say about 11 or about 10!

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 08:25

Ah, but every second is vital to me!So the speed makes a hug difference.
Did a good 5km last night; 28 mins 54 secs. Was reasonably pleased with myself!

So, whats in your drawers that you're chucking??

2boysmacca · 30/04/2007 08:34

Not at all. It gives me something to aim for. I'm entering the Race for life and I want to do it in around 30 mins. If I run a mile I can do it in 10 mins but if I was to run say 2 miles, my times drop. At the gym tomorrow I want to do lots of all round stuff so I will do a 15 min run. I would normally put it at 8/8.5 but I'll try and put it higher.

Gonna try and get ds2 into the dr's this morning as he is just very grizzly these days. Could mean he's poorly or just changed his personality from a happy chap into a monaing mini!

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 08:58

To do it in 30 mins, you need to run at 10kph. I'm trying to do faster than that on the treadmill, because it'll be harder andtherefore slower in the outside world! I've also got a very hilly course for my RFL. Why didnt I choose Enfield instead???

2boysmacca · 30/04/2007 09:03

I used to find it easier on the treadmill than outside but at the minute, my times are faster outside. 2.3 miles was taking 20 mins.

Got ds2 into the dr's at 11.30 I feel quite fraudulent as I'm not convinced he's actually ill. Best to rule it o0ut 2though2

can 2you 2te2ll ds2 is prodding the keys too?001

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 09:21

Stop talking in miles!! Its driving me had having to convert it!!

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 09:22

mad

2boysmacca · 30/04/2007 12:04

But when I track it in the car it's miles not km! If I take a trundle wheel with me, how the heck can I push it if I get stitch and have to run with my arms in the air?

Been to Dr's. Ds2 alright. He must have just turned into a grump!

Jelley · 30/04/2007 12:08

I keep forgetting to say, mrm, ds does play with his ikea thing alot. (You asked ages ago and I always remember when I'm not on the computer.

@macca with trundle wheel and arms in the air.

ds has slept and I've got loads of housework done. I've got nothing to do this afternppn now. Give me some ideas or I will have to start doing tax return type stuff

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/04/2007 12:10

Go to the park Jelley (says she who also hasn't decided what to do this afternoon, but is waiting to see when dd wants her nap first)!

Jelley · 30/04/2007 12:13

OK.

Didn't take much persuading.
Can't go for a little while though as I have a cake/bread thing in the oven.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/04/2007 12:39

Here's one thing I've found in the drawers mrm.

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 14:09

csws!!!!

Jelley; dont you know if its cake or bread then?

Chloe55 · 30/04/2007 15:13

PG - where did you get the jigsaw foam thingies under your pool? I have seen some on Ebay but they are quite expensive. All my back garden is patio and so am thinking of cornering off a designated play area theat ds can't escape from and the dog can't get in - hoping to do it about 10' x 10' though and not sure what to lay down on the floor. Don't want to wood chip it because the cat would probably use it as a litter tray!!

I'm having period pains today and I came off my period 2 days ago

Ran with dh today because he is off work studying. Managed about 2miles before walking which is an improvement on my recent runs, I wish he could be my runnng partner all the time - I'm sure I would have dramatically improved now if he was.

Jelley · 30/04/2007 15:15

It isn't really either. It is a sort of fruit cake made with no fat, but is very nice sliced and buttered.

I went to the park, but didn't stay that long as it was senior school lunch break so it was full of teenagers, and ds constantly wanted to join in with them on the roundabout (going very fast).

I'm kid free for an extra hour this pm, and still bored...

Frizbe · 30/04/2007 18:25

mmmmm sounds nice Jelley, I've not made a malt loaf type thing for ages (might have to now!)

Been hard at work here today, bar the quick lunch break with my friend for her birthday and a quick hour at the gym this afternoon, although found it suddenly got busy with school kids at 4.14 seems they recruit them to use the cardio equipment, as overheard one being told no weights until 17th birthday supose that's a good thing though? keeps em off the streets. Can happily report the accounts are up to date again, hurrah! thinking about sending dd2 2 days a week, as she's very happy at nursery now, no crying when I leave and had to drag her out tonight, picked her up from her baby room, she legged it down corridor to pre school, where dd1 was residing, then she legged it into their garden and all the bigger toys, took us ages to catch her and get her out into the car, was having too much fun nice to see she enjoys interacting with others so much and doesn't miss me a bit!

mustrunmore · 30/04/2007 19:37

Chloe, you can get things like that in the £1 shops. But prob not hardy enough for outdoor use. I did see some proper ones somewhere, but can I remember where???
Well done on your runnning
I did 5km on the treadmill today in 28:49, so 5 secs better. But my knees really hurt today, and also I failed miserably to run on an incline Not a good sign, as I should be on a permanent gradient of 1-2 to simulate the real world.

Jelley, you really do cook alot more than me Veg stew is about as good as it gets!

Chloe55 · 30/04/2007 19:40

Oh forgot to say MRM - I think the mint worked Probably all in my head though!
