Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

HC!!

Are you very relieved??!!!

So pleased, you must feel like a weight has been lifted x

AnnieOleTing · 23/04/2007 11:08

Morning!!

Gosh can't get a word in on this thread...

Hope your poorly puking babies are on the mend, everyone.
Gorgeous gorgeous picture of Jacob, Lysettes!!
And Wallace, what a fab beach. Is that Scotland?

Congratulations Jersey. Enjoy!!

Bloss, Holiday skin + white towel, refer to kbaby's previous tip of the day. I do that too, DH is always asking if I wiped my bum with the towel again...

We had a great weekend, my bestest friend and my two other really great friends came over from Ireland, and boy did we sink a few!! Last night we even went out for a few pints and a curry!! Horraay!! Not hungover here though, just extremely tired...
Once again, barbeques, beer gardens. FAB!

Kayley is great. That second tooth she got seems to have gone back in though! She's standing really well now as well, though only once has she let go for a split second. Sleeping a bit better too, only waking probably twice a night now! And really responsive to music, if DS presses one of his musical things, she sits upright, and claps hands and wiggles along! Bless em!
Ds too is really learning words, repeating everything we say. Including 'oh shit' the other day when I got his leg stuck in the trolley, but I ignored it and he hasn't said it since!!! Whoops!

Right so, best go!!

Have a good day everyone

Annie

AnnieOleTing · 23/04/2007 11:09

HC xposts! PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for you!

SleepIsForTheWeak · 23/04/2007 13:43

Hi all,
Lots of illness around, hope you and your LO's feel better.
Annie, she sounds so cute!
HC- well done!

Sefton has also developed a dry cough, will see what happens.
Opinions, please:
He has never been a brilliant sleeper but these last few nights have been HELL, he must have woken me up 10 times last night crying. It seemed to be teething problems as he was pulling his ear etc, but then during the day he is FINE! Do you think it is teething, or has he become a bad sleeper and is crying for effect???? (please, God, no!)

STILL not teeth either

usandnosleep · 23/04/2007 13:53

Hi Sleep
Zack was suddenly worse at night before the croup arrived.
He also tends to teeth at night and not during the day Try medised? Works for us!

SleepIsForTheWeak · 23/04/2007 14:02

oooh... must read up about croup -no idea what it is!
Has Zack got any teeth now?

usandnosleep · 23/04/2007 14:13

All to do with the voice box and lungs (I think!) the cough is unmistakeable, it sounds awful.

Zack has 2 teeth and 4 more just beneath the surface!

frenchleave · 23/04/2007 14:44

Just a quickie...

Sleep - are you sure Sefton hasn't got an ear infection? Might be worth getting it checked. Though it is a bit wierd that he's fine during the day and so distressed at night. Poor you, and poor him

Lysettes · 23/04/2007 15:29

hi everyone

just a quick post as there's so much to catch up on!

jersey - that's great news!

pavlov i hope you have stayed home - there is such a lot around and you are right most people wouldn't be so considerate

i can't remember if it was kz or kbaby with the great muffin recipe - could you please repost it? i'm going to have another stab at domestic goddessness!

jacob has started really laughing and giggling a lot to himself, and banging everything in sight with his hands!

no teeth yet though and he also had a few days where he was awake such a lot in the night.

hope everyone's lo's and everyone feels better soon

JeanieG · 23/04/2007 17:18

Hi all,

Can you believe this crap weather?

I'm furious today. I went on my telephone banking to check my balance this morning and discovered that I only had £80 left, which is clearly not good as I still have council tax, car insurance and phone direct debits to go out. Was wondering how I had managed to spend that much without realising when my statement came in the post.

I checked it and discovered that yet again, maintenance from Ross and Sian's father hasn't gone into my account so no wonder I'm short. Anyway, I phoned ex-p who was totally unaware that I hadn't received the money (a direct debit is set up), so it seems that his gf has cancelled the payment again.

I am sooooo angry and would really love to go and... well do something that I would probably be arrested for. How dare she decide whether exp pays money for his children.

What on earth can I do?

Sorry about the rant- I am just really annoyed.

I'll go and calm myself down somewhere.

Jeanie

xx

IamBlossom · 23/04/2007 19:40

Jeanie how utterly annoying!! If ex-p was unaware, surely he is agaisnt her doing that too, and can straighten everything out, as well as presumably asking her not to do it agan???? What a bitch!! Does she think you might not notice if she waits a bit and then does it in secret?

Wallace · 23/04/2007 19:54

kbaby - was your stain removing tip to leave hanging on the line for days? If so, I have one of Leo's tops out there right now. It was a brand new white one (MIL!) and he was scrabling around in the dirt, then had oranges, so it is filthy!

Pav - your dd sounds adorable! Hope you are feeling better xx

french - hope you are feeling better too! xx

forty - hope you are feeling better too! xx

(hope it isn't catching )

jersey - how exciting! It is great having three

madness - still no teeth here either

HC - glad things are working out re work

Annie - yes it is scotland. About 50 miles north of Inverness.

Jeanie - poor you, will your ex-p say something to his gf, do you think?

Not much happening round here. Leo still no teeth, still not sleeping. STill not quite crawling, but can get anywhere he wants by scooting around on his tummy using his hands and feet to propel him along He is just so cute and adorable

Hello everyone. I caught Aidan's bug and spent most of yesterday evening throwing up. It was bizarre - I haven't been sick since I was about twelve, not even in labour and I did feel really really sick then. Feel quite a bit better today, just really drained, but had to stay off work anyway because DH has come down with it and was in no fit state to look after Aidan.

Aidan seems a lot better now. I had to take him to the emergency doctors yesterday because he was just sleeping the whole time, not doing wet nappies and hardly drinking anything. She thought he was verging on dehydration but wasn't too concerned as I was doing all the right things apparently. Thankfully he seems to have pulled himself out of it.

Hope other people's LOs are on the mend. It certainly seems like there's a nasty tummy bug doing the rounds.

I've nothing else to say really. I've only skimmed the posts and not looked at the pics yet - sorry! I fully expect them all to be gorgeous as usual though.

Off to bed soon and hopefully back at work tomorrow.

ImpyChica · 23/04/2007 21:54

Thanks for all the support about the leaving-baby-Ryan quandary. I'm such a wimp, I know, but he's going through a really clingy wanting-to-be-with-mummy stage at the mo - would be v hard to leave him for a week.....

Bloss - did you exfoliate before putting the holiday skin on? I find that helps.... Good luck with the old teeth - what a nightmare! Loving your latest pix. H can definitely "fix it" - and they'll both need to mend plenty of broken hearts in the future...!

Hope everyone's poorly babies are better - it's the pits, isn't it? Ry's just getting over his nasty cough.... waiting to see what he picks up from nursery next....

Algach - such a sweet post about your babies! Can't believe you're old enough to have a ds with a girlfriend!!! You look so young in your gorg wedding pix.

Glad you had a good nights out KZ and MaeWest! We went out on Sat night with a few mates to a fab Swedish restaurant and we ended up in the cellar bar sampling flavoured vodka.... yum!! Got back at 1.30 to find Dad asleep on my bed and Mum watching Billy Elliot in Spanish - bless! It's soooo good to get out once in a while!

Poor HC - sounds like you've got your hands full with the christening! Can't you get the Burger King vouchers Great news about your boss being understanding - just as well!

Great pix Wallace - looks like your LOs had a great time.

Kbaby try here - - we've hired quite a few places from this site - not sure whereabouts in Spain you're thinking -- let me know if I can help!

Lysette - that Gap woman needs a slap!!! Having said that, aren't US sizes different from UK ones? A UK 12 would actually be a US 14/16? (JACOB'S SO CUTE!!!!)

French and Pav - sorry you've both been poorly. Glad the wedding went well, French.

Great news Jersey!! Hope it all goes well.

Sleepforweak - Ryan's sleep is all over the place at the mo too - he seems v unsettled and is definitely teething... the nursery staff reckon four are coming through at the top all together.... gulp. Hopefully his sleep patterns will settle soon - and I'm sure Sefton's will too. Ry's been pulling at his ears a bit too but if it was an ear infection he'd have a fever and would really scream with pain....

Poor thing Jeanie - hope you get it resolved soon. That's outrageous.

Well, had a great long weekend with my parents, who took Ry off our hands loads so we could catch up on sleep etc! I feel guilty that they don't see their only grandson more often... but the time we all spend together is always very special.

That's me over and out. Hugs to you all, Impy x

jeanie - kz beat me to my sentiments - the gf is totally out of order but at least on the positive side of things your ex-p was unaware, so he is still trying to do the right thing

impy the sizes go the other way a US 8 is a UK 12

thanks for the recipe again, will report back on my goddessness

o'h well off to attempt to get through to the solicitors for another day on the house purchase

take your umbrellas out today ladies, it's supposed to tip down this afternoon

PavlovtheCat · 24/04/2007 10:16

Hey all. I am feeling rough as rats. I was off work yesterday, and again today. Had a fever for last few days, skin crawling, muscles and organs hurt, either too cold or too hot. I have not even spoken to work. I tried calling yesterday, no seniors around as in a meeting so left a voicemail asking to be called back. Nothing. Called again today, no snior managers in, no voicemail active to leave a message, so I dont know if they know I have been off, I sent them an email, i got evidence I tried to contact if they get arsey.
So, right now, DP has gone to visit a friend with a 1 year old boy, taken DD with him, they will be out for a while. I have taken Ibruprofen and paracetamol, and feel a little better.

Our fridge has broken, new one, less than a year old, all the food is ruined in it, engineers coming out today to look at it.

DD was poorly yesterday, had runny poop and today is a little dehydrated, although happy enough. Today, she has a sort of rash where her nappy was, like spots, not nappy rash, but its not all over her, I had to check!

She is still sleeping through the night though, and makes wonderful sounds in the morning before we get her up, playing with ehr toys.

I fancy some chocolcate...

PavlovtheCat · 24/04/2007 10:20

oh, and anyone know why I appear to not be producing much BF? DD no longer has any at night, and has started to want less during the day as now taking bottle from time to time, but I am still feeding her in the morning and evening, and during the day a bit. Over the last few days, my boobs appear to have gone back to pre-pregnancy size, do not feel full of milk at all. DD seems to be getting milk still tho, and does not seem particularly hungry afterwards, except maybe in the morning. Could it be that I am 'drying' up? Or could it be because I have been unwell?

MaeWest · 24/04/2007 11:36

Pavlov - your milk supply will adjust now your DD is feeding less, so your boobs not feeling 'full' is not a sign of your milk drying up . At 9 months your supply is pretty well established. Even my boob-fiend DS seems to be capable of going the text book 4 hrs between feeds, and I am sure this will drop off more as he eats more food. Oh, and illness shouldn't affect milk supply (altho sorry you have been feeling poorly)

frenchleave · 24/04/2007 11:49

Hi all

Feeling much better today now, thanks for your concern girls. Still tired, but back on duty and eating almost normally. Sorry you're still not better Pavlov, sounds grim, poor you Though if you want chocolate you must be on the mend

Twinkle - hope you're feeling ok now. I hadn't been sick for years before this weekend either and it was just vile, not something I'd missed!

Hope all the poorly babies are better too. KZ - poor Roshi, yukky snot!

Impy - I'd be the same about leave my babe for a week, you're not a wimp! Though from experience it might not be as hard as you think - the feeling of freedom as you leave them in capable and trusted hands is great!

Jeanie - about the gf. Sounds like your xp should have a separate account that she can't get at.

HC - great news. Enjoy the freedom!

Got to go, lunch is ready!

Lysettes · 24/04/2007 13:41

pavlov that's exactly what i had a few weeks ago - it suddenly gets better all by itself - it's really odd, but there is a really nasty virus going round.

and as for the runny poo and spots on dd's bottom, jacob had pretty much the same thing but the spots were right on his bottom iykwim, and a good lathering of sudocrem sorted it out. doctor said it's because the runny poo is very acidic and their poor little skin can't cope with it so well.

jacob was wingeing in the buggy on the way home and by the time i had got his food out of the fridge after lying him down on his gym in the lounge, he'd totally konked out! muslin currently over face, loud snores coming at regular intervals

first swimming lesson tomorrow - am soooooo excited (althought less so about being seen by other people on a regular basis in my bikini)

PavlovtheCat · 24/04/2007 13:48

Lysettes - how long did it take to clear? I hate feeling like this, altho spoke to boss about hour ago and she said to take my time getting well again
Re: DDs sore bottom, will try the cream, but will give her lots of bottom time too I think, she likes that anyway.
Are you doing the swimming lessons where your LO gets to swim like the baby from Nirvana cover? I want my DD to do that!!
