Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Wallace-nice to see you back and pleased you had a nice time. Can't see those pics though.

Lysettes-my boss has been trying to ring me but she knows I'm not going back. I'm going to send a letter in on Monday in a last ditch attempt at avoiding any face to face meetings-well, to avoid speaking at all really.

prettymum-know what you mean about being broody. I must stop watching birth videos on YouTube. Thought of you today as I was ironing-I seem to iron everyday and I thought of you cleaning every day.

Hi all,
Dentists aww I hate going. In fact I haven?t been for 3 yrs I am such a whimp. Ive been trying for 2 months to book an appt for DD as she is 3 next month and has never been but each time I call they are either on lunch for 2hrs or the receptionist is away and no one else can book them.

DS has been ill with a cold this week, hes still doing ok sleep wise. The CC seems to have done the trick and weve had a few all nighters but mostly he wakes at 10pm for some milk and then is put down awake and whinges for a few mins and goes back off and then wakes again at 3ish for another few mins of whinging.

Hes progressed from getting onto his hands and leaning forward to actually getting in a crawling position and rocking before slipping flat on his tummy again and hes now saying dada.
Ceebee- You are far too soft with DH, I would be moaning big time if DH was away so much and then out on the weekend. That said DH is out tonight and the DC are over my mums so ive had a lovely quiet evening on mn.

Anyone have a recommendations for holidays. We want to go to mainland spain due to the flight times and I want self catering in a family activity hotel. Theres not much sc choice. I found one hotel that sounded ok but then when I went online and read the review it didn?t do too well. All the main family hotels are miles away from the resort centre which is no good either.

Wallace- I couldnt see the pictures either. Glad you had a good time though.

kbaby · 21/04/2007 22:54

Forgot to say. DD has been really trying today. She is deliberatly annoying DS. This morning he was sitting on my bed playing with my make up and she struts in and attemps to dress him up as a princess. He starts crying so I tell her to leave him alone but she carries on. Then she eventually stopped but sat right infront of him on the bed with her back to him and took the make up bag off him. All of this was going on when i was trying to get dressed. DH was at b&q and came home to find me shouting 'I just want to get dressed in pease for gods sake' why do they all have to follow me. DH gets to have a shower and get dressed in peace!

Lysettes · 21/04/2007 23:20

HC i think my boss has a pretty good idea i am not going back and I do want to tell him face to face rather than just over the phone - been with him 4 years now and it's a real family kind of business!

thought this would make you all laugh / shout indignantly / berate me for going into gap in the first place - in gap yesterday wanting to buy a pair of trousers - only UK size 6 and 8's on display, so I asked the woman nearest to me (that worked there!) if they had a UK 12 in the stock room. She came back 5 minutes later and said "I'm sorry we don't have any big sizes left"! I was speechless - how rude, but then i started wondering if you can only buy tiny sizes in gap because they don't want real sized women wearing their clothes becuase they are only made to look perfect on stick thin models.... Saying that I'm a size small in their tops!

photo of jacob at brunch today - wanted to put one of dh and jacob on but he's got stage fright

Wallace · 22/04/2007 07:56

kbaby - glad sleep is so much better
lysettes - what a cute photo, he is adorable
hc - oooh birth vids on youtube! must have a look when kids not around!

don't know why the photos don't work. maybe if i link to them seperately

the beautiful beach
dd on the beach
ds1 paddling despite the cold!
sliding down the dunes
ds1 digging!

kbaby · 22/04/2007 10:48

Ive been meaning to ask did anyone who tried my stain removing tip get any success.

lysette- what a cutie

IamBlossom · 22/04/2007 12:47

Kbaby - yes. It works. Hurray. Kids eh? H has learnt the "Why?" word this week. I have taken to singing "Why WHy WHYYYYYYY Delilah" back at him when he has said for the 6th time.

Wallace, wow what a beach, could really get lost for hours there!

Lysettes, he is a heartbreaker....

KZ, god you are hard as nails, I'd be completely sloshed on 5 large glasses of vinos. Glad you finally got a night out.

My new Tip of the Day - Johnsons Holiday Skin lotion + white towels do not a good combination make......

Day from hell yesterday - H could try the patience of a saint at the moment, DH came very close to losing it completely.... My fault apparently, I don't discipline him enough. Which is funny really as I don't think I do anything but shout at him these days.....ho hum......

Lovely day today though so far.....BBQ later at a charity footie match up the road....

Hey ladies, sorry for the long absence, I lost the new thread, and then been busy with lots of stuff. Am feeling off colour toda, DP has tkane LO to a birthday party and I am here recovering . I went out yesterday, and felt fine, by the evening I felt rough, by the time we got home my skin was crawling, my muscles aching and I had fever. I spent all night with the fever, maamged to sleep it off, and now feel ok, bu feel exhausted , its weird, it came on so suddenly. I had two very small glasses of wine, and we were out in the sun, but also spent a lot of time in the shade with LO, and also drank several glasses of orange and lemonade. Dp said maybe it was sun stroke, but I have had that mildly before and this was not the same, it was like a mini flu bug?

Anywya, back to children...
DD, well what can I say? She is amazing. This week she has learned to clap hands, and now does it all of the time [proud mummy meoticon] She also put the telephone to her ear and laughed, pressed a couple of buttons, she can put her blocks into her peekaboo elephant and claps her hands, and then does it again when I ask her to, she communicates with us through squeals and uh-uhs, like she is actually talking now, rather than making rndom sounds. She has 4 teeth on top, and she has become a little girl rather than a 'baby', if that makes sense. She is stil our baby but her facial features look more girly, her personailty is coming through more, she laughs all the time. She is sleeping through the night and eating very well, and she is taking a bottle now....

She makes me feel tearful all over again.

frenchleave · 22/04/2007 15:48

Afternoon all

Pavlov - sorry you're feeling so rough, Must be in the air, I'm recovering from a gruesome bout of food poisoning. Yesterday's wedding went fine (found something to wear) but I must've eaten something dodgy because I started to feel all funny just after the meal, so we had to leave in a big hurry and I spent the night hugging the toilet bowl. Yuk yuk yuk. Feeling a bit better today but not up to enjoying the fab weather beyond lying on a lounger in the shade, groaning

Thomas learnt to clap his hands this week too! I both love it and feel sad about all these things too, specially because he's our last.

Bloss - glad you're having a better day. I bet your DH has no idea what it's like spending 24/7 with a toddler and a baby!

frenchleave · 22/04/2007 15:48

Wallace - lovely pics, looks like you had a great time. Am v , could do with a holiday!

Lysettes - what a gorgeous boy Jacob is! 380g in 4 days?! That's loads! He must be making up for lost time

kbaby - I sympathise re getting dressed in peace. I can't remember the last time I managed to get ready entirely uninterrupted by one or more children.

Hope you're all having a good Sunday.

PavlovtheCat · 22/04/2007 15:58

French - oh you poor things, how horrible. I had a worry I had food poisoning too, as we had a bbq, and I decided the fishcakes would be fine on BBQ, although it said oven bake only! It started out like that, but although I felt queazy for a bit, I was not sick, phew!
I know what you mean about them growing up, It makes me want another one so we can watch these changes all over again! But, not for a while tho...couple yearrs?

Hi everyone just dropping in to let you know had scan last week and everything ok. Bouncing around and sucking its thumb. They have put me forward a week so as of today I am 16 weeks + 3.

IamBlossom · 22/04/2007 19:44

FANTASTIC Jersey! SO excited for you! Hope you are feeling ok!!!

[surprisingly jealous emoticon].....

PavlovtheCat · 22/04/2007 20:12

Jersey - great news. Hope you are feeling well too

SleepIsForTheWeak · 22/04/2007 20:14

Congrats Jersey!!!!!!
Wow that is so exciting
x

HumphreysCorner · 22/04/2007 20:38

Evening ladies

jersey-so, so pleased for you. Keep in touch now and we want to know what you are having.

Pavlov and french-hope you two are feeling a tad better than earlier.

kbaby-I constantly leave washing on the line for days and bring them in without a mark on them Best method ever isn't it?

Bloss-DH blames me sometimes for how DD1 is. Grrrhhh!!!

Wallace-finally saw your lovely pics. What a peaceful place.

Lysettes-superb pic.

Have been rubbing down skirting boards today much to DH's annoyance -hoping to undercoat tomorrow.

Sophie projectile vomiting again. Have noticed she is at the pushing me away stage so I feel like my usefulness is over in a way. Once DD1 got to this stage the bond seemed to disappear. What is it with girls or is it me????

Going to watch the GP racing then do my resignation letter. Bye for now.

oh humphrey. I was feeling a bit better. I hung out some washing, and tidied the kitchen, and sat down, started eating dinner, felt sick, now I am sitting here with dressing gown over clothes as I cant stop shivering, and I feel awful

Advice - 3rd week back at work tomorrow, 1st week 2 days, last week 3 days, this week 4. Can I afford to take the day off sick if I feel crap? I really dont want to as I started in a new team and want to show them I am reliable, as I had to put up a big fuss to get this job...oh dear I think I might have to haul my ass in...

HumphreysCorner · 22/04/2007 21:47

Pavlov-er, noooooooooooooooo. You mustn't go in if you are poorly. Missing one day will not hurt. If you struggle in you will more than likely be off more than one day. Hugs ((xx))

I think I will head to bed and see what happens in the morning, however dont think I will sleep as I been asleep for hours today. Dp came home from work to look after DD as I felt too rough, and went out to birthday party with her.
It feels like all my organs inside and my muscles have been taken out, stamped on and put back in again . I have not been ill like this for a long time. Not since before DD came along. Wow thats a long time!!!

DD, however, is fast asleep, has been since 7:40pm and not a peep. She is such a great girl. I am just so in love with her.

PavlovtheCat · 22/04/2007 21:55

KZ - exactly If I give them this bug, then that will mean more work for me later on...I am sure others wont feel so duty bound to go in!!!
I like it...I might go with it

madness · 22/04/2007 22:20

jersey, congrat!!

can't believe, dd2 is also nearly 9 mo (tuesday), but no teeth yet.

Chickenpox girls are getting better here. Good luck for the other ill people here. Off to bed.

FirstAtForty · 22/04/2007 22:43

Hi Girls
Just a quick one to say hi as I haven?t been on for a while.

Congrats to you Jersey

Hope all ill people are feeling much better soon. I?ve had a horrible fluey / tummy bug d&v thing too over the last few days so maybe it?s doing the rounds. Thought it was getting better yesterday but have been feeling crap all day today, grrrr.

Emma?s fine, apart from having developed a trigger happy puking mechanism too! She?s not ill, just seems to have developed fine control over her vomit reflex so that if she ingests something she?s not sure about she pukes her dinner straight back up again, very messy, and annoying if you?ve just spent 20 minutes spoon feeding it all in! She did it when I tried her on the soya formula on Friday, I gave her a small meal then tried a bottle of the formula - she pulled a face of absolute disgust then brought her dinner back up all over the place Sneaked some into her in her porridge though and in her rice milk, so maybe all is not lost. Fingers crossed it doesn?t seem to have made her ill yet, though she may just not have had time to build up the reaction. Have stopped expressing now, it was just too tedious and she can go longer between feeds now so in theory it shouldn?t be necessary.

Anyway am off to bed, will catch up properly soon - love to all xxx

Hi all

Blimey it's been busy busy here, I've been waiting until I can post a full reply but I think I'd be waiting until zack has started school!

Zack is really poorly and has been since the beginning of last week It started out as a dry cough then was diagnosed as croup and he now has a very chesty cough and is completely congested. My poor little boy is feeling very sorry for himself
He had just reached 16lbs too, oh well will have to build him back up again!
Have also just found out my nephew has chicken pox

Congratulations jersey! I'm so pleased for you and wish you an easy pregnancy xx

My house is a complete tip because Zack is obviously superglued to me so my lovely sister is coming over this afternoon so I can do some housework

My poorly boy is stirring so best be off.
