Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

KZ - I see what you mean about her eyes changing (beautiful kids btw) I noticed the other day that Leo's aren't quite as dark dark brown as they were.

First - well done emma and her appetite..growth spurt methinks!

kbaby - I can't find that youtube video with the twins, what keywords did you use?

pink - good idea to have a trial run. Seeing as you are only going to be 20 miles away I would go for it! As long as your dh does a better job than my dad did when I was 7, and my siblings were 9, 3 and 1. My poor mum was so exhausted she went to an hotel for a night. My little sis (the 1 year old) screamed so much for her that my dad took us to pick her up within hours! My poor mum!

agalch - Eilidh sounds wonderful, and so chatty. Good idea to take ds1's gf - even more built in babysitters, you'll have a fab time

french - wonder if that is true about the late crawlers, and prob the bum shufflers? dd crawled at 11 months and had fab fine motor skills - she could feed herself a pot of fromage frais at that age

Jeanie - that sounds lovely for your dd. How wonderful to do something just the two of you You must let us know what her reaction is when you tell her!

ceebee - we have the clapping, but no waving...babies are odd

So the party is at Impy's? Cool! Maybe we should have a mini meet up in Scotland. Think there are 3 of us?

Glad you all liked the video, it is one to treasure He is loving being able to crawl and gets into everything. Found him licking the toilet..bleurgh! Need to get stair gates soon too. It is funny, since he started crawling he doesn't really play with toys. He just heads off to find interesting stuff. He is hilarious

FirstAtForty · 12/05/2007 22:37

Just a very quick one to report - first clap! She's been clapping all through Joseph and Eurovision (keeps waking for some reason this evening ) that's my girl!

pinkdolly · 13/05/2007 07:43

Morning ladies,

Can I officially join the "no sleep" club. I dont know what's happened with Jazz. Up untill 3 days ago she was waking up only about once or twice during the night for a feed. But since then she seems to be wanting a feed all night. I am exhausted. And that's only after 3 days. She seems to be sleeping a lot more during the day (obviously she is shattered from lack of sleep to).

Frenchleave- How many times do I feed Jazz during the day. Well, I still feed her on demand so it changes. Usually I suppose, maybe 4 or 5 times. But to be totally honest I dont count, so it could be more. But I do know that some of her feeds are purely for comfort, and coz she can smell milk). And of course, me being a total softie I allow her to have whatever she wants.

Agalch- This feels like the bravest thing i've ever done. I dont leave my kids. I'm v. fussy about who lookes after them if dh is going out. In fact there are only 2 people I trust. My mum and my best friend. If their unavailable I dont go out. I have to admit it is a scary thought leaving them. But the thought that I wont be far away and can come back at a drop of a hat gives me a bit of confidence.

Wallace- I have visions of that happening to me aswell, your poor mum.

Oh dear, princess Jazz has just started moaning. Better go. Have a good day all.

Pink xx

pinkdolly · 13/05/2007 07:44

First- Congrats on Emma's clapping. I like those proud mummy moments.

FirstAtForty · 13/05/2007 10:50

Pink - Emma has been uncharacteristically wakeful too over the past few nights. She is starting a horrible cold though, or it could be teeth I suppose. She wakes up crying like she's really in pain or upset and takes ages to settle again Naps are a bit more disturbed too.

Ceebee74 · 13/05/2007 19:37

Count me in for a party at Impys too

Jeanie - I am in Blackburn but more than happy to travel to Liverpool or somewhere in between. Sohappy - are you up for it??

For those of you struggling with finger foods, I have found a solution that works at chez Ceebee's - I have started having a 'picnic' for tea rather than Josh sitting in his highchair. I put down the plastic mat, put some finger foods on a plastic plate and let him help himself, crawl around or whatever he wants to do whilst eating. Yesterday, he ate 3/4 of a round of philly sarnies and some cucumber and today he ate most of a round of peanut butter sarnies and some banana. Takes a while as he plays with his toys for a bit, then picks up more food, plays with his toys etc. - but he has eaten far more than he would in his high chair.

Went out for lunch for MIL's birthday today and Josh did his usual trick of flirting with old ladies - such a charmer

DS has successfully managed to pull himself up onto his feet for the first time today, oh and gave me a kiss when I asked. Hes also discovered which cupboard DD stores all her goodies in and I found him amongst some chocolate buttons with a very choclatety face.

Peed off with DH yet again. Last time we had an argument I drew up a list of all the cleaning jobs and who does what. For 3 weeks he hasn?t done a single thing on it and so ive been doing it all. All weekend hes been on the bloody computer and today I took the DC up my mums and when I came back hes still on the PC so I asked him when he was planning on doing any tidying? Didn?t go down too well and hes had a moan about how its his weekend. Its my sodding weekend too but I still have to do things. I feel like telling him to grow up and get in the real world. He can go for that job in Southampton as hell be doing me a huge favour by not being here!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right rant over.

I caught sight of myself sideways on sat down today. It was a shock. I weight 9stone but seem to a layer of lard round my tummy bursting over my jeans. And weve got the holiday in a month. Cant decide if I should start running in a quick attempt to lose some fat in order to look half decent in a bikini.

Totally agree with you Agalch. It is far better that they know all about it way before its time to do the deed. If your son is anything like I was he wouldn?t do it while on holiday out of respect for you.

CeeBee - we quite often have picnic tea here too, when the weather was nicer we were outside in the garden (easier to clean up!)

pink - sorry to hear you are struggling with sleep, you really deserve your break . I'm knackered and I only have 1 small DS to look after. Currently on 2 feeds a night which seem to be at 1ish and 5ish, which is a lot more bearable than it was. Have high hopes for swimming today knackering him out.

Better go - Clockwork Bowels Boy strikes again

p.s. HC, hope you're ok

SleepIsForTheWeak · 14/05/2007 09:35

I am the same as you , KZ, I think I have reverse body dismorphic disorder

Just wanted to pop in sand say a quick hello, have to do some work today so can't chat, darn it.

Ceebee74 · 14/05/2007 09:36

And I thought I had come up with a fab original idea about the 'picnic'

Anyway, big news - Josh has started cruising over the last couple of days along the length of the sofa. Still holding on with 2 hands but seems to have mastered it.

numptysmummy · 14/05/2007 09:45

Aren't they growing up!! Can't believe she's nearly a year old. Anyone else broody or am i the only one? Dh think,s i have "issues"!! Whatever that's meant to mean.Keep getting really upset at thought of no more babies [sad sad sad]

AnnieOleTing · 14/05/2007 11:02

Morning ladeez.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
I had an old friend to stay with her dh, they're still not trying for babies, and she's 38! She says she's not sure she's ready yet. None of my business, but time is pushing on IMO. Though I know it's not impossible (First@40?!). Anyway, they're very happy as they are. Just don't know if they'll regret it later.
I cooked cannelloni with spinach and ricotta, and chicken roulades with sage. Delish! And lots of chablis...

K was up at 5.45am this morning (Hi Bloss!) and DS wasn't long after. Have been watering down her night feeds, so she's down to 2 oz now in 8 oz water, and she only drinks about 2 or 3 oz of that. So she might get bored of waking soon. Or she might just scream more cos she's starving...
She's still doing the really cute 'All gone' thing with her hands, waves at the right moments, and claps when Puppy says 'clap your hands'.
A delight she is!

DS has started calling me Mummy sometimes instead of Mama. Very cute too...

Numpty, I get a little broody sometimes when I see wee ones! But no more for me either, unless I give up the drugs.

CB congrats to Josh and his cruising!

Sleep, will email you re meet up. you are too excited!!

Mae, at Clockwork Bowels Boy!!!

kbaby, at your DH. Sort him out!
Also similar to you at the nine stone (ish) but look like my dumpy older sister now...
COngrats to your DS for pulling himself up, and at his successful chocolate raid!!

First, congrats to Emma on her clapping! So cute!!
Are they all developing quickly now.

Wallace, gorgeous vid of Leo!! at him licking the loo!!!

Best go, girls, been in an hour, haven't done a tap yet...

Have a good, wet day

Annie

Morning ladies

Am still here. HV said it is normal to feel worse after a week of taking AD's-she said things will improve. Hope so Have the monthly dreaded migraine to add to it-ho hum.

Sophie crawling quite a bit now. When Em crawled she seemed so much bigger even though she was younger IYSWIM. Sophie seems such a dot when she crawls-I suddenly find her under my feet. She was a monkey at tea time as DH started to feed her then I took over to feed her while I ate and she refused to open her mouth until DH took over again. DH never feeds her so she must have seen it as a treat.

Have got the Christening on Sunday so will be busy preparing for the big event.

MIL rang on Saturday night at 9-30pm wanting to borrow our little fridge and asked if DH would take it round. Er, no as he was busy fitting a worktop so she said she had better come and get it. (I didn't offer-was watching Eurovision ). Anyway, she has now told me they are going away in the caravan the day before Em's first dancing concert. I wrote the date on their calendar ages ago-am a tad annoyed and know Em will be upset.

Would love to reply to you all personally but just can't at the mo. I am thinking about you all though.

That's all for now folks.
