We have run out of space so thought I would start a new thread.

Pavlov-hope you are OK today hun.

kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

Wallace - 'wow' at the half-marathon - am so impressed! And, have to admit, Leo sounds VERY cute and very clever!

Lysettes - Josh is a 14 July baby too so him and Jacob are virtual twins (and how cute, their names even start with the same letter )

To all you skinny minnies - what is all this 9st, 11st rubbish - you should all be a slim and trim 14 stone like me (btw HC - I have put on 7 pounds over the last 3 weeks - how bad is that?? Have undone all the good work I did after Christmas so not a happy bunny at all although I did SO enjoy eating all the crap)

Temper tantrums here aswell - must be the something about their age maybe?

Am so about all your lo's that are eating proper grown-up food - Josh seems to have an aversion to lumps so whenever I give him the Stage 2 lumpy food, he gags and then pukes. Most finger foods - again, he gags and, you guessed it, pukes! Has anyone else had this experience and will he learn what to do?? I am persevering with lumpy and finger food but it is so awful watching him puking everywhere.

KZ - how are your lo's? Hope C's behaviour improves as it must be hard for you to deal with alongside the health worries aswell.

HC - hope the ad's are starting to kick in and you are feeling more positive. about your DH's friend - how awful.

Hi to everyone else - sorry if I have missed anyone out

Ceebee74 · 03/05/2007 21:07

Hi Girls
Just nipping on quickly to post some pics, have finally sorted out an album! Wallace, the Elvis suit is featured on the last pic

Ceebee - Emma did that puking thing for about a while whenever she encountered something a bit lumpy, the girls at nursery said it was quite common for them to go through a phase of voluntarily engaging their gag reflex once they realised they could do it . Not sure if that?s what it was but the phase seems to have passed, for the time being anyway.

Sleep - oh no re the tuna and lack of wine - boo!

Numptysmummy - my DD was born on the 16th too, and is called Emma

MrsDux - welcome

Lysettes, well done on resigning! We went to a 1st birthday the other day, all babies were very young apart from a couple of older toddlers, so lots of sitting around playing on the floor (and drinking). The baby whose birthday it was fell asleep and missed most of her party, bless.

Wallace - yes that?s v v cute, what a clever boy!

Beadmum - Emma does just about drink water from her spout cup now, though a lot goes down her front. She can?t pick it up by herself yet.

Hi Jeanie, glad you had a good day yesterday

Kayzed - yes sounds like whisky is in order

Okay - here are the pics, quite a few as I haven?t posted any for ages - hope this works...

Welcome MrsDux and Numptysmummy - it's great that we're still chatty and interesting enough for people to want to join us.

F@F - lovely pics. What a cutie!

Just have to tell you all that Aidan pulled himself up to standing today for the first time. I'm so proud of him and he was really pleased with himself. He's been standing for a while but hasn't got there himself before. He's also a lot happier moving around now that he's worked out how to sit back up again. We had a lovely day today - he was really happy and smiley all day bless him.

FirstAtForty · 04/05/2007 06:05

Thanks girls

Kayzed - you're a similar weight to me then, I'm currently hovering between 11st 8 and 11st 12 lbs, but I'm a bit shorter than you (5ft 5ish). I too lost weight (down to about 11st 4) when first pregnant, for a good 2 or 3 months, but put it on when bf, loads of dairy and choc, couldn't seem to get enough of it!

Twinkle - well done to Aidan ! Interesting how many people comment that babies seem much happier once they can move themselves around. Emma should be delirious with happiness once she finally works out how to shift her bottom then

Can't sleep tonight, grrrrr. DP and Emma both snoring away though. I always seem to get insomnia at this time of year, the bloody birds don't help (bastards) and work's much busier so generally stressier. Oh well, will see if horlicks does the trick.

IamBlossom · 04/05/2007 07:53

see, I am barely 5 foot 2.....midget.

First - those pictures are so gorgeous she is a total cutie.

Aidan hurray! Well done clever boy, can't imagine The Tobster getting his weight up to standing....

Must stop drinking wine every night. Only had two glasses last night but it is every night and I am deffo slower because of it.

However - [whsipers] H slept till 6.45am this morning, and 6.30am yesterday....as well as his daytime 2 hours and in bed by 7pm....and T slept till 6am....have we turned a corner? have we? have we??????

First - what a pretty little girl Emma is

Bloss - fingers crossed for you that things are changing.

Twinkle - congratulations to Aidan! Josh can pull himself up to standing but he does find it hard at home because we have wooden floors and he slips everywhere.

Has anyone else's lo become really clingy? I know it is a phase they all go through but I am finding it hard atm - Josh cries practically everytime I leave the room although he is fine when I drop him off at nursery

Thanks for the advice about the lumps - KZ, I will try those tiny pasta shapes. The other thing he does is move food round his mouth and store it in his cheek until he figures what to do with it! I quite regularly find some bread in his cheek 30 minutes later

Hope you all have a good day x

hey girls

welcome MrsDux and numptysmummy!!

wallace- good luck with the marathon, i trained for a marathon at school and i was astonished how much i could run after couple weeks of traing! wouldnt want to run around this area though, probably get mugged!

ceebee- im in the same boat as you regarding food! junior is still really fussy about it and when i do get some in him he pukes it up, it gets really frustrating! will try pasta today.

first- emma is such a pretty baby!

twinkle- congrats to aidan!! not long before they all start walking!

bloss- ooh hope this is the change that soon means that you can have longer lie ins that you and dp dream of

junior woke at 5am for a feed and then wanted to get in our bed to mess about! but did pick up put down method and he was back to sleep in 15 minutes and slept till 7.30am

regarding weight, im definately lighter than pre-preg but i can feel the weight coming back on!! i just love my food! im 5'4 and weigh around 8'12 i think. i just need to wrk on my belly really, it sticks out now

here are some pics of junior, finally got round to getting my phone synched with my laptop.

junior

AnnieOleTing · 04/05/2007 11:11

Morning ladeezzzzzzzzzzz (more zzzz's would be so nice...)

Pretty, what a handsome little fella junior is! Sweet!

Ceebee, Kayley is also very clingy to me, which is strange, since I work 4 days. I love it though! Almost always stops crying when I take over. Not so good when she wakes in the night though (YAWN!). I think DS did the same around the same age, but he's most definitely a daddy's boy now. 'Dada do it'.

Bloss, I'm also a midget at 5' 2" and 8 stone 11 at last weigh in but that was a few months back and I've definitely grown another chin since then along with the pregnant belly. I lost loads of weight after giving birth cos of the RA, but now that I'm on steroids, my appetite is HUGE, plus now that there's no official restrictions on booze, I'm afraid a bottle or so of wine goes missing every night...
Kayley has also taken to waking at 5.30 ish now... then of course she wakes DS with her mewling, so it's all over by 5.45...

First, when you said you can't sleep 'tonight', you did realise it was already after 6am when you posted? That's morning, my dear, I'm afraid, time to get up!!! Hope you get some zzzz's today though.
Beautiful pictures of Emma, she's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

KZ good luck with the BUPA thing, hope you get the result you want, and have fun poo cleaning. DH just phoned me at work to tell me DS has got hold of some suncream and it's now all over the sofa, walls, floor, cupboards, hair (oh wait, no, he must be lying, as the hair is shorn off). I dunno, I leave them for a few hours a day...
Not as bad as poo everywhere though, I grant you that.

HC how're you doing today?

Wallace, Leo does sound like the cutest!

AnnieOleTing · 04/05/2007 11:12

Oh yeah, welcome to the new peeps

numptysmummy · 04/05/2007 11:45

Good morning all and thnx for the welcome .
Firstatforty - what a little sweetie! And great name (i'm Emma too!)
Wallace - I think 4 kids are meant to be hard work but i love it! Dd1 is 9yrs,ds1 is 6 and hlf,ds2 is 2and hlf and then there's Ella. Who would be,erm,9 or 10 mths?? I forget.

FirstAtForty · 04/05/2007 12:00

Annie - lol, I HAD been awake since 4am (just a very slow poster)! Still consider 6am to be the middle of the night though, whether I'm awake or not

Gorgeous pics Prettymum, he looks so active and curious!

Better get back to work, boo...

Beadmum · 04/05/2007 14:56

afternoon ladies

first - gorgeous pics, emma's such a cutie

twinkle - well done to aidan, what a clever boy. Charlotte done the same thing this morning while holding onto dh's hands but wouldnt do it again when he tried to get her to (only when she wants to ) dd seems to be v.frustrated lately, a lot grumpier than usual so hope once shes on the move i'll get my happy girl back

kz - hope you got a chance to get some rest in today prob not though

pretty - how cute is junior? great pics, he looks so much more grown up than last pics

my big news everyone - handed my notice in, phoned work and told them today. feel a bit sad as worked there for 5 years but sounds like everythings changed since ive been away so dont think i'll miss it, still friends with few people who i see on a regular basis anyway. Just feel like ive lost a bit of my independance financially but on the other hand so glad im not going back and cant wait to spend every day with charlotte

got friends round tonight for a meal then il's taking dd tomorrow night while we go to other friends for a meal but best part is going to be the lie in on sunday morning as theyre keeping her overnight

have good weekend all
xx

HumphreysCorner · 04/05/2007 15:54

Hello ladies

Welcome to the new ladies-yes, please do keep posting.

Lovely, lovely piccies-must do some more when I have a mo.

I am 5ft and weigh 10 stone-according to the books I should be between 7 st 5 lb and 9 st 3 lb. Was 8 st 4lb at my lowest and was really thin. Couldn't stick there so aiming for 9 stone this time. In the last month I lost 2 lb and no inches-doh!

I have always gone to the loo on my own-Em was never clingy and I don't think Sophie is going to be.

HV has just visited for 1 hr and 15 mins and she is coming again next week.

Beadmum-well done on making your work decision. It is so hard when you have been there a long time. I have done 20 years with the Bank but so much has changed and not for the better. Enjoy your lie-in.

kayzed-make sure you ring BUPA today as that is what you pay the fees for. A super quick appointment

Twinkle-well done to Aidan. Sophie is trying to pull up-one day.

Hope you are enjoying the weather before the heavens open.

Love to all

HC hope the HV visit went well

ceebee Jacob does exactly the same thing and is starting to be really picky with food - had to hide mixed veg in raspberry yoghurt although he did seem to like the mix of tastes! will try pasta next week

jacob won't use a sippy cup or a doidy at all - should i be pushing it more now? he doesn't really drink a lot though - he has his required milk but in big drinks and hs maybe an extra 150ml of juice and thats it!

twinkle well done to aidan

kz we seem to be pretty much the same kind of build so it would seem i'm still overweight! I kind of knew that anyway..... must keep going to the gym and not drink so much. actually i shouldn't really be drinking at all now we are ttc so that's a good reason to stop!

just found out today that some good friends of ours are having problems TTC and have been for almost 2 years. he has a low count and apparently they are going to have to get his brother to donate. poor things, i really feel for them as they are both from big families all of whom have lots of children and they are so into kids

beadmum well done on making your decision - I got really nervous on the way to see my boss but it was all ok.

cor, hope your afternoon was mildly bearable KZ....hugs. It's a nightmare when you know they are tired but they won't sleep. Have you got any failsafe tactics like sleeping in a buggy on a walk of the car? Seem to remember R only sleeps in her cot though...........

erm....have just spent £237 in Sainsburys..... Budgeting is clearly going really well. Not.

HC - hello lovely. I get nervous when you don't post every five seconds at the moment. Wish I could pop round for a cuppa, H could play with Em [for that read nick all her toys] and Toby and Sophie could gaze adoringly at each other...wouldn't that be handy?

Tomorrow, Dh is cooking Thai crab cakes with dipping sauce and monkfish en croute with asparagus, cherry tomatoes and black olives for our dinner party - am salivating at the thought of it. I will be very busy laying the table and sampling the wine....

Parents back from the wedding in Las Vegas, going round tomorrow for all the goss.

TTC Lysttes! That is so exciting. I drank like a fish during both of my conceptions, if that is any help (sure it isn't).

Hi everyone else!

Where is KBaby?

IamBlossom · 04/05/2007 19:46

PrettyMum - Junior is adorable.

ImpyChica · 04/05/2007 20:10

OK, I'm WAY behind on posts - so this is gonna be a marathon catch-up, I'm afraid.....

SleepWeak - sorry about your MIL. Poor thing. I'm lucky like Bloss and totally love mine. How can yours not even want to see her grandson?? (Though I've not seen my brother in 11 years - so he's never met his nephew - there's nowt so strange as folks....)

Bloss - that story about your niece and nephew helping out with delivering their sibling is mental!!! Never ceases to amaze me that women, esp those who already have kids, don't know they're preggers!!! Poo story was v funny and LOL at SAHM book - sounds like a bestseller! Poor thing! Loved your Tuesday post - know just what you mean about wanting to absorb their gorgeousness - it does all seem to be going so quickly... (btw you really are a goddess! My DP is well within his rights to moan about lack of action in the bedroom dept! But there are you pleasing everyone like bloomin' wonder woman!)

Twinkle - Aidan is a cute-ster!!! Adorable pix.

KZ - thx for offer of bottles but we hardly use any here (not that you'd fancy posting them to Spain any road ) {{{{{big hugs}}}}}} for your worries with Chilli. I know it's really hard not to worry but try not to sweetie. Would you have to wait for ages for a diagnosis on the NHS? Surely if they thought it was serious, you'd get priority? Maybe it is worth going private for peace of mind. Scary about being locked out with Roshi inside - I'm always paranoid about that happening (mental note to give spare keys to friend...!)

Jeanie - at your ex - what an ar*ehole. Poor you.

Kbaby - great news about the crawling! Don't worry about putting your foot in it - that's the sort of thing I do all the time. She'll know that you couldn't have possibly known about the miscarriage and how bad you feel about saying anything. Show's how lovely you are that you have mentioned how awful you feel. Pix are GORGEOUS!!! He's got such a happy, expressive face! Tricky one about your DH's job - I totally know what you mean about not wanting to be on your own with the LOs for half the week. Does your DH really want to try the job out there? Would it be a promotion/good for his career - cos you've got to kind of think of that too..... hard as it would be for you, it might be good for all of you in the long term. But I'm just playing Devil's Advocate - only you know what the right thing for all of you is.

Prettymum - keep off the cheese before bedtime And what a scrummy lickle man Junior is!!! FAB pix.

CB - love the pix of your monkeys!! Ice pops not on for a 9 month old! ffs!!! (though I have slipped Ry a spoonful of ice cream now and again....) And he's getting really clingey too - crying when I drop him off at nursery and he only goes for the mornings the wimp!!

Annie - LOL at the haircut! I'm always hacking away at Ry's hair - he looks like a clown most of the time...

Pavlov - beautiful pix. So sorry about your mum - it will take a long time to get over. Just take each day as it comes.... {{{hugs}}}

Lysettes - well done on the house! Are you moving far?

Bead - good luck with your new SAHM status! Know what you mean about the financial independence - same for me going part time....my salary is a joke....

HC - well done for going to the Docs. Glad the cyst is nothing to worry about and it's great that you've found unexpected support from your Mum. THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER. Sorry to hear about your DH's friend. How awful.

Glad things are better between you and DP, NoSleep.

Pink - sorry you're feeling down. Three girls is a lot of work - you're doing amazingly. Jazz sounds v clever and vocal too! Well done on b-feeding so long. I'm still breast-feeding too - I'd gone down to two feeds a day but have given in to Ryan's nagging and back up to 3 or 4 again . Scared I'm getting another blocked milk duct which is the only downside to it all....

Hello MrsDux and numptysmummy!

Gorg pix F@F!!! Emma's a star!!!

How was your bank hol French? Mine was low-key - just recovering from viral bug... sleeping loads while DP watched Ry.

Hello to everyone else. Need to log on every day to keep up with y'all!!!

News from Impy household - Ry is really on the move and is a joy to be with as always. Got loads of new teeth coming through - two have cut at the top so far.... Says "ma ma" and "ba ba" all the time (often sounds like he's saying bad mama but maybe that's my paranoia....). DP is off to India for three weeks in a couple of weeks time and, I'm sorry, I know nearly all of you said I should go, but I just can't! Makes me cry just thinking about leaving Ryan.... (and last time I went to New Delhi I was ill - I know I would be again plus it'll be 40 degrees plus....) So it's gonna be tough on our own for a few weeks. Got the in-laws over to help for part of it at least.

That's about all folks. Have a great weekend. Big hugs to all. Impy xxx
