morning all! we had a bit of a crap night here...Zac woke up not once, not twice but three times in the night. he just would not go down to sleep either, in the end i made dh go up there and take over, but he can't settle him like i can. not sure why, all i do is rock him but maybe dh just doesn't have the hips for it. in the end Z nodded off on the boob and - with lightning speed and agility - i replaced the boob with a dummy and he took it!! i was so he won't take the dummy again this morning though, was far more interested in grabbing for the crusts off my sausage sandwich! does that count as blw???

DH - i actually lol at your ds going BAAAA at you. i know it's hard not to laugh isn't it? my dgd used to make really grumpy faces and try and hit us and go NONONONONONONOONONONO at us, we'd frown at her and say "No hitting" and then turn away and giggle.

LTH - next time you decide to walk to the post office then pick ds3 up from playschool...don't bother.

Wilkie - hope you have a loverly time with your sister. what's up with her, doesn't she have broadband???

2Happy - will be very curious to see how your DH does tonight

MrsCarrotToBe - GOOD LUCK!!! lalalala......how's your crusty nose today?

how many weddings have we had on the thread now? there was me, Wilkie, and someone else got married too, but i can't think who it was....

the garage has decided to write our car off, it wasn't badly damaged during the accident, but it's because the value of the car is less than it would cost to repair. Dh spoke to the insurance company yesterday and they said they've already instructed salvage to go get it! we were like, "Hang on a minute!!!!" so today i have to ring round garages and get quotes for a new bumper and front lights. am so - because of some tosserknobheadcuntweaselgoatfelcher coming out of his driveway too fast, we've got to do all this shit. Dh is so stressed i'm seriously worried about him having a breakdown.

anyway i've rambled on for far too long...sorry to anyone i missed.

Lizzzombie · 25/04/2007 08:24

Good morning!
Hope Carrott is having a great day.
Sorry to hear you are having a bad period LTH.
I had one 8 weeks after having LO and havent had one since. Am due any minute, and scared of wearing white, sitting on white sofas...I dont know where its is.
We have 2nd lot of jabs this afternoon. Not looking forward to seeing his "Mummy I hate you" face again.
Was talking to a mate yesterday who has a 10 wk old. She is putting off him getting immunised till he is older. I didnt even know you could do that. Has anyone else elected not to get LO immunised yet?

RGee · 25/04/2007 08:28

LTH the gushing doesn't sound right. But who knows what goes on inside after having babies. Hope you feel ok.

EAH - pmsl at us all in synch. We are all nuns living in the same convent

Carrot - thinking of you..Here comes the bride...dum dum ded dum...

Have a good time at your sis's Wilkie if you get to read this before bobbing off(Manchester isn't too far from Leeds - fancy popping over?). Am off to my sil today, but just realised I haven't driven once with the lo in the car!! Can't believe that - she's 4 months!!! Must go check out the car seat..

RGee · 25/04/2007 08:32

UD & Lizz - Xposts.

UD - is your week going to get any better? Good luck with the car stuff.
Lizz - 3rd jabs for us tomorrow. It feels like she's getting jabs every week at the mo. Hope D forgives you!

Piss...cat's just brought in a live mouse...gotta go..

Lizzzombie · 25/04/2007 08:36

Rgee - thats nice of your Cat, bring in your breakfast for you! x

LadyTophamHatt · 25/04/2007 08:48

Lizz, Ds3 wasn't immunised atthe corrct times and I'm not entirely sure if he ever had the full set.

If he did he was way older than 16 weeks for the last lot....I actually don't remember him having them!!

He'll be 4 in september and hasn't had his MMr yet either. IMO 13months is too young so I wait until they're abit older...then generally forget!
I'll be taking him soon though....just don't tell him!

2Happy · 25/04/2007 09:02

Well.... dh put ds1 to bed, and he got straight up again.

So I went in, put him back into bed

and

HE STAYED THERE!!

For 8 hours solid!

Unfotunately, that meant he got up at 4.15 this morning and we couldn't get him to go to sleep again.

And ds2 is still growth spurting so I've had 4 hours sleep and I'm knackered.

Still, ds2 gets his first imms today (I didn't put them off Lizzz, just the surgery is really disorganised!) so maybe that'll make him sleep and forget the growth spurt.

Besides, at nearly 12w he's like the size of 6month old, why does he need a growth spurt FFS?!

CARROT - have a fantastic day. The sun is shining here, hope it is for you too x

LTH - sounds grim, hope it slows soon

RGee - hope the mouse didn't run up your leg this time

Galmum - I'm glad I got a metal stairgte now!!!

UD - what a PITA, like you need more stress right now. Hope it gets sorted.

...sorry, ds1 (overtired, surprisingly) being a pest, sorry for no more personals

OP posts:
Galmum · 25/04/2007 09:16

LTH...sounds gross to me...do periods get heavier after each child, in the same way after pains tend to get worse with each one??

Sorry if TMI..but we had to change grim bathroom carpet tiles in old flat after MIL had a major woman's problem..my god it looked like someone had been murdered in there - felt so sorry for her to have such a flood at our house!

So pleased that ds stayed in bed 2Happy - get some rest soon!

May not pop in for a while..back to house purchase admin and crap!

Nemo2007 · 25/04/2007 09:40

LTH all my periods since having DS have been horribly heavy i.e what you describe. TMI but I have to put 2 sanitary towels on end to end to stop leaks.

C has her injections next wednesday and at same time they are doing DS preschool booster...am not looking forward to that at all!!!!

As for sleep last night was horrendous again!! So am going to try a change of formula as C only seems able to manage 2ozs then thats it so of course she bit feeds. Am going to see if the chemist sells aptamil seeing as that is the formula of choice..if not will be cow and gate..lol

Wilkie · 25/04/2007 09:51

Hi all, just a quickie before I go....am shitting myself for driving on motorway with LO...

Shitty night with J awake at 12.20, 1.30 and 4.45 - EXCELLENT! Am knackered

UD - PMSL Goat Felcher - NICE!!!!!!!!!! What a though

LTH - Sounds like you have niagra falls going on. Doesn't sound quite right, would go to dr if it doesn't ease up as you may end up anemic (sp?).

Carrott - So glad the sun is shining. I am sure it will be a wonderful day, will be thinking of you!

RGee - I had same thought this morning actually about stopping off at Leeds but as this is the first 'long trip' on my own with LO thought I was best going straight there

Galmum - bleurgh. How awful for you MIL!

2Happy - GREAT!!!! So pleased he stayed there even if it was an early start

EAH -

Laughalot - how is the Aptamil working for you?

Shimmer - you back from HK yet?

DH - hope Luke is better

Nemo - are you switching to Aptamil?

Lizz - how's the house purchasing going? What did you decide about the damp?

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. Catch up on Fri - don't chat too much

Nemo2007 · 25/04/2007 11:08

Wilkie hope you have a good trip!!

Well I have bought the APTAMIL...so fingers crossed it will make a difference as am getting desperate!

Nemo2007 · 25/04/2007 15:29

I am in love with Aptamil...lol C has had one bottle but took 5ozs This is so far unheard of for the littlest fish. She hasnt even thrown up and has been really settled. Maybe she just didnt like the taste of SMA or maybe is a fluke..lol

Nemo2007 · 25/04/2007 16:22

another 5 ozs

LadyTophamHatt · 25/04/2007 16:29

Wow, nemo....thats amazing!!

George is an aptimal baby too and sleeps like log after his bottle.

SMA is shite IMO, ds3 used to fuss andfaff about on it too.

katwith3kittens · 25/04/2007 17:57

OMG, just logged on and found a thread I started has been upgraded to discussions of the day. Too busy to chat now got to read thro responses.

Hope mum in question isnt a MNetter but on the otherhand might not be a bad thing ......

hattie2 · 25/04/2007 18:02

oh yes, I saw that yesterday kat and was , didn't notice it was you that started it though. Sounds absolutely ridiculous to me!

Why are discussions of the day upside down though? i.e. first post at the top?

Dragonhart · 25/04/2007 20:03

Wilkie, hope you had a good journey and have a good time!

LTH- Mine are always like that so no sypathy here! Mind you not had one yet so who knows what might happen. Perhaps I will bleed out!!

Urban- SOrry you are both having such a crap time . Is there any way that dh could take some time off to try and chill? Someone ran into the back of dh outside our house afew years ago and it was such a nightmare as, even though it was not his fault, it still ended up costing us loads. The car was worth more to us than in was actually worth iyswim and we couldnt afford a decent car with what we got. Hope it all gets better soon. xxx

2happy! congratulations about the staying in bed but for the early start.

Nemo wow thats amazing. When Luke went onto the follow on milk when I gave up bf, he hated aptimel and I tasted it to see what the problem was. It tasted disgusting and kind of fishy. He loved SMA follow but guess it is really different to the baby milk. Glad she is feeding better.xxx

Carrot hop all went well today and that you have a good night!

Well Luke seems back to normal except for the fact that he is posessed by the devil himself!! He has been such a grump today as has Ruth. When ever I was doing someting with one of them, the other was crying or whinging! GOD I HATE WHINGING*

He is sleeping properly again so maybe it was just that the cot mattress was too soft for im and he was getting back ache? It was pretty squidgy and he is a bit of a lump! Mind you every time I have checked on him before goingto bed, he is the wrong way with his head at the end. Thinking of moving the bed but he would prob be a tthe other end if I did!

ellieandhattie · 25/04/2007 20:13

am with you on the whinging dragonhart it drives me mad and makes me sooo its the constant non stop whinging when she cant have her own way that really really gets me.

Ellie had a fab day as they have been digging up our old drive so she has been sitting on the windowsill most of the day asking them what they were doing, she almost peed her self when the digger turned up and managed to open the window to ask the man if he was called Bob and where Wendy and scoop were (for first timers thats all in relation to Bob The Builder) she then had to ring my dad (who is a builder) to tell him all about the digger, that child should have been a boy. The man who has been here all day has a ds 10 days younger than Hattie so we were swapping stories and recommended Aptamil to him as is ds not settling well

Nemo - hows it going with Chloe is she going to burst with all this milk?

Wilkie - have a lovley time catch up over weekend

Mrs Carrot - have been thinking about you today hope it all went well and you have a good night

Laughalot hope aiden settled okay nd is fast asleep and giving you some peace (I am football widow again tonight so will be here for a while)

2happy - did ds1 settle okay tonight?

Galmum/Lizz - God luck wit house stuff (lizz what did you decide to do re damp?)

PCF - Hows alex tonight did he sleep again this afternoon or is he in the land of nod now?

LTH - Hope you are feeling better

Rgee - hope you caught the mouse

Cant remember anymore but if I have missed anyone - shopaholic/feb where are you, have we frightened you off????

LadyTophamHatt · 25/04/2007 20:33

This isn't funny anymore.

I used a whole pack of sanitary towels today.

I feel all achey and tired(more tired than usual) too

laughalot · 25/04/2007 20:45

Hi everyone hope you are all well cant chat for long dh was supposed to be at football watching his mate play in a final but his mate has broke his leg so dh has come home .

Loaded a new pic of lauren on today

Catch up tmoz

ellieandhattie · 25/04/2007 21:06

lth do you think you could be aneamic (sp) could explain tireness etc can get blood test done at drs

laugalot CUTE pic shes gorgeous!

Lizzzombie · 25/04/2007 21:12

EAH - pmsl at your bob the builder story! I can just see it. My 20 month old nephews go absolutely nutty for telly tubbies, and when ever they see a vacum cleaner its like they are possessed by noo noo himself!

All is ok with the house, rthe mortage lenders arent concerned with the damp & we have had a builder mate look at it, so hopefully its all ok! x

LadyTophamHatt · 26/04/2007 07:20

bloody awful night sleep last night.

First the thunder woke me up about 6 times, then George starting la la laa and br brr brrr-ing at about 4am ( That translates to generally making a lot of noise)
4:30am of getting up and down I concidered getting the parcel tape to hole the bloody dummy in.
Warm the bottle up, which he then drains.

But now becuase he's been La la laa-ing etc for so long he wants to get up and play. Dummy plugged back in several times before I give up and get him back in bed with me.
It's now nearing 5:30am and he's not keen on going backk to sleep but does eventually.

We are then woken up but Ds1+ 2 arguing over a bit of spilt milk (yes, really....they were!!) Ds2 was saying it looked like an animal shape and ds1 being his usual annoying little fecker slef was disaggreeing so argument started at 6:15am!

George then did an almighty poo and so my day has got off to a fantastic start.

Someone seems to have turn the tap off with regards to my period though so at least I'm not bellding to death anymore.

Lizzzombie · 26/04/2007 08:16

I have taken it upon myself to do some research on behalf of all of us. It is a very difficult undertaking but I felt that I was the best qualified to do this. I'm afraid the results won't be available in any scientific form...as I have eaten them.
Yes, I brought a big bar of the new Cadburys Dairy Milk Double Chocolate!
It has my stamp of approval.
Its lush. Go forth and buy it, you wont regret it! x

laughalot · 26/04/2007 08:26

Lizz hope you dident eat it this morning .

Lth pmsl at your kids with the milk, I know how you feel with the singing aswell lauren hasnt been fed through the night I refuse now butshe tends to wake and want her dummy in which is fine but she wont keep the bloody thing in.

I am going to have a day in the life of lth today my bf dh broke his leg last night actually his bone came through his skin ouch so when she goes to visit him in hospital today im having her kids so ill have a 3/2/1/ 14 week old to look after . I might be grey later .

Hope everyone is ok I bet you Mrscarrot has woken up with a big on her face could she be a due feb 08 ????
