RGee has the formula itself changed??? Bugger hope it doesnt mess with C as only just getting her sorted on her feeds..a whole 3ozs a time

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 15:55

Don't think thyey have changed the actual formula just the 'design' of the tin etc, as a converted sma user I have found aptamil agrees with Hattie much more, she went from faffing about and crying to drinking 5oz and being contented.

Laughalot hope party went smoothly and no fighting from A (hate parties as feel I am on constant Ellie watch that she doesnt swipe somthing or someone!!) Those pots do look gorgeous just buy them a bargain at half price I have put lemon something or other tree as the main thing and then put hanging ivy and trailing lobelia in them to grow over the lip and down the side of the pots (god I may even take a pic and put on my profile when it grows I am that pleased with them)

Rgee I'll be on msn later so catch up there

Right better go and start thinking about getting tea sorted and washing in from the line before its so crispy I'll have to rewash it

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 15:56

RGee - Agree with EAH. I am an Aptamil convert as found SMA really really didn't agree with J. Made him windy, uncomortable and irritable x

RGee · 21/04/2007 16:56

'Fraid SMA have changed the actual formula, "New SMA Gold has changed its protein balance.." and "Great new formula" and my particular favourite "When you feed your baby new improved SMA Gold for the first time it may take up to 24 hours for them to get used to the new formula composition. This is perfectly normal" blah..blah..says the leaflet inside the tin. Anyway, we had our second poo of the day half an hour ago which was yellow diarreaoh (sp??? runny poo). Two poos in one day is unhead of in the RGee household (me and the little one (TMI perhaps?)), but it seems to have sorted out the lo. Fart pants has turned in to smile pants . Let's bloody hope the change of formula does not affect her magnificent sleeping through the night performance of the last fortnight, or I'll be straight out to the shops buying up about 50 tins of the old style formula. Maybe Aptimel is the way forward.

Yeah EAH - it's a hot date for tonight! LO will go to bed c7pm so I'll be around not long after. Try to read all the earlier posts then too.

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 19:37

Balls: just lost a bet. Told Rich I would eat my own head if he got J to sleep first go. He said 'No, you have to do something realistic...' so I (stupidly said) 'Fine I'll give you head...'

J went to sleep first go....

FUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKK

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 19:38

you don't actually havee to do it though wilkie....tell him you've got oral thrush or something

RGee · 21/04/2007 19:44

Evening all. Right, just had a quick catch up.

UD - not good about your gas bill. And thank god your dh was ok after nob end ran into him.

Wilkie - hope your smear went ok. I had the pleasure of 3 in a year just because the darling health professionals are not competent at getting enough cells onto a spatula. Can't help with the 'downstairs' problem.

Shimmer - cheers for the passport info. Thought going in a photo booth might be the wrong thing to do

Carrot/bridezilla - 5 days wow!! Will you change your name to weddingcake for the occasion, or Mrs Carrot? Hope you get some chill time in the next couple of days!

Galmum - have a great time in Cornwall!

Annie - started my first period (cue aged 12 jokes again) last weekend, and still going on...wtf? Never this long! And it hurts to put a tampon in. Despite having a c-section. Sigh. Don't need an excuse for any chocolate though.

RGee · 21/04/2007 19:45

Wilkie - lol!!!!!

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 20:21

was wondering why Wilkie wasnt on MSN tonight now I know what shes doing

Geordie voiceover: Day One in the Big Boy's Bed

It's 7.30pm. Earlier today, Big Mother assembled the bed rail, and fixed the stairgate to the door of the Big Boy's Bedroom. ds1 has come to the diary room to talk about the move.

"ds1 big boy's bed. Bunny and Ellie. No Cot. Big boy's bed!"

Big Father takes ds1 upstairs to bed and reads him some stories.

It's 7.45pm. Big Father has left ds1 in the big boys bed, and so far he is still in it. Big Parents are listening to the monitor:

"ds1 big boy's bed, all night, big boy's bed.....Daddy? Daddy? Daddy! Daddymummydaddymummydaddy!.....Oooh light,"

It's 8.01pm. ds1 has been switching his bedside lamp on and off for the last 12 minutes.

8.12pm. ds1 has been running round his room and is now rattling the door handle.

It's 8.30 in the Big Boy's Bedroom. ds1 is reading himself "Russell The Sheep". 5 minutes ago, Big Parents heard him knocking the lamp onto the floor.

8.35pm. Big Parents are listening to ds1 deep breathing. He isn't asleep - he's just got his mouth right up against the monitor.

9pm. Big Father goes to try and settle ds1 back in bed.

9.30pm Big Father leaves the bedroom.

9.35pm. ds1 is still screaming and running round the bedroom.

Big Mother goes into the bedroom. Big Mother gets ds1 to lie down in the bed, and be quiet.

9.50pm. ds1, bored of hitting mummy on the head, decides to kick the bed rail.

9.55pm, Bored of kicking the bedrail, ds1 decides to pull mummy's hair and stick his fingers in her ear. Big Mother pretends to be asleep.

10.05pm Big Mother tells ds1 to lie down and go to sleep for the ten zillionth time.

10.15pm Big Mother leaves the Big Boy's Bedroom. ds1 starts to scream.

10.16pm ds1 has opened the door to the Big Boy's Bedroom and is shaking the stairgate, screaming.

10.19pm Big Father puts ds1 into the cot.

10.30pm ds1 is asleep in the cot.

Yeah, but how long does it take!!!

Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 20:54

2happy how old is ds1?

2Happy · 21/04/2007 21:01

He's 22m, Nemo. We're having to try him in the bed because he's so big he broke his cot!

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 21:07

oh bless him..do you have a gate on his room? IF so and if everything in there was safe then would leave him to wander

hattie2 · 21/04/2007 21:36

Bleurgh. See you in the morning laydeez

MerlinsBeard · 21/04/2007 22:15

Just wanted to say congratulations on your year so far from BFP to bouncing babies who will fill your lives with unexpressable joy. xxx

Dragonhart · 21/04/2007 23:30

Hi MOM! Hope you are well. xxx

2happy PMSL!!! Mind you what I would rather have heard was that he went to sleep straight away as we are moving Luke into a bed sometime next week (having sorted the whole bed fiasco last weekend). Might leave it til next weekend!

Ruth is thumping around upstairs banging her legs on the crib. It is so noisy, wonder if she is running round up there!

RGee · 22/04/2007 08:34

Dragon - perhaps she's training for the London marathon. Must go an watch it - just starting on telly. Ahhh, armchair training....

LadyTophamHatt · 22/04/2007 08:34

Hi MoM, lovely to see you popping in, any news on the TTC front for you? I hope we can all congratulate you one day soon.
xxx

I must putthe fear of god into the big Ds's because when ever they've gone into a big bed none of them have got out until morning. Honestly, hand on heart I'm not exaggerating....once they're in they have stayed there.

I'm obviously a perfect mother

carrotcake · 22/04/2007 09:23

How did you manage that, LTH, did you perfect a look or something? My dd had a stairgate on her room till she was about four! DS1 did everything I told him though, dd thinks she rules the house, in fact, all the 'boys' rolled together are easier than her. My mother chuckles sadistically about it, as if I was difficult once or something

Rgee, thanks, it is only three days and I feel like cancelling at the moment. I suppose I should change my mnet name, though I might use yours (your idea that is not rgee!), no brain cells to think of a new name. That reminds me though, kids and dp would like me to have the same name as them, which would be nice, except I wasn't going to as I don't like 'Hayley Evans', sounds very eighties somehow.. maybe I'll have a nom de plume!

Hello to everyone else. Wilkie, that was most generous of you, poor dp is feeling deprived after months of no action. I said we may as well wait till we're married ha ha, but It was hard looking for nice underwear, didn't think the feeding one would be too nice on oour wedding night, normally a c-cup, but FF at the moment! Not much pretty stuff in that size they all look like fishing nets.

Wilkie · 22/04/2007 09:33

Elo

Carrot - so excited for you about the wedding although my invite still hasn't arrived prob lost in the post . I want to see tonnes of piccies when you are done please. I like MrsCarrot for your new name.

RGee - sorry, I accidently took 3 M&S truffles...oops.

EAH - sorry for the early morning phone call. Nice to hear your voice though (for info she has a strong 'farmer-esq' accent )

UD - where are you?

Laughalot - hope things are better today

2Happy - PMSL. Defo want the second installment...

Sorry, if I have forgotten anyone. Am trying to make this quick before the little monster wakes up.

I call him monster as he was awake at 1.30am and 4.30am (then wouldn't go back to sleep). He is refusing his bottle this morning and has started having tantrums where he goes bright red in the face, shout/cries and pummels (sp?) his fists. Am thinking of putting him on Ebay with a 99p reserve. Any takers??
