sounds fun LTH

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 08:42

think i'd rather stick pins in my eyes EaH

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 08:53

Reminds me ellie needs plimsols/canvas shoes for when she starts pre school tuesday (no sandal/hard shoe/trainer rule) but think I'll leave it till monday and go and get them then. Are all 4 topham boys going on shopping trip or is dh home?

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 08:54

and why do I get the feeling I'll regret the leaving it till monday as I probably won't be able to get any in her size

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 08:54

All 4 coming with me.....

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 08:56

fun hope ds1 isnt in his 'competitive' mood today

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 09:22

Ha....well DS1 has just ruined the plans.
He's been told off about 5000 times already this morning so I've just said we're not going anywhere.

IF we go out he won't be getting anything... bloody socks or whatever!!!

The little sod woke me up again this morning so I'm not in the best of moods as it is.

carrotcake · 21/04/2007 09:28

Well, I'm going shopping just with lo, not dragging all mine around the shops wingeing! Dp can look after them today, I need accessories!

Have just checked the five day forecast and the first rain of April is predicted for my wedding day, can't bloody believe it . My friend says 'a wet knot is a tight knot' but I think that's crap made up by someone who had rain on their wedding day, a bit like it's lucky for a bird to crap on your head

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 09:39

It snowed on our wedding day....probably explains why we always so frosty towards each other.

OHHHHH I'm so funny!!

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 10:16

LTH - happy bunny this morning

EAH - Hmmmm, can't think what may have helped Hattie sleep through.....I wonder??????

Jacob is being a cranky pants this morning liking none of the following: playgym, bouncy chair, cleeping, Bumbo, cuddles with mummy, food.....WTF is left????? Going out in a bit to Asda.

Am VERY VERY cheesed off with my big sis. She text me this morning to see if her and the twins could come over but I didn't hear the mobile so rather than ring the house, she assumed I was busy. When I finally got message at 9.30am she said it was too late. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 10:16

Ahhh, he's now discovered eating his top is fun - of course - why didn't I think of that????

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 10:22

was it a mallett to to head technic to get hattie to sleep EaH??

actually maybe that the only thing left for j wilkie...i'm just about to use it on ds1

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 10:26

I think it may have been the baby rice

1 week 6 days and counting for me EAH. His feeding really is abysmal. BTW, how long can you freeze veg purees for?

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 10:32

ooooo...you naughty thing!!

mo2 · 21/04/2007 10:34

Fantastic baby vests/tops age 3-6 months and 6-12 months available here...

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 10:40

No idea wilkie, ages I would guess. How long do you freeze normal frozen veg??

ds3's feeding was crap too and weaning him made bugger all differnece.

Ds1 would only eat the dried packet food.
Ds2 would only eat homecooked
Ds3 would only eat jars.

I tried every concievable thing to get Ds3 to eat my own lovingly prepared food and the little sod wouldn't touch it.

Ds4 isn't anywhere near ready to be weaned yet which I thank my lucky stars about. Ds2+3 were on solids at between 15 and 16 weeks, thats just a couple of weeks away for george and he just wouldn't get it.

Oh...and the mess....the mess they make is heartstopping!
I said to the HV the other day I'm so glad it's later now because I simply cannot be fudged to do it.
He'll be chewing the table leg before I get round to it.

It's shocking how quicking it's come thats they're on the way to solids isn't it??

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 10:42

Hahahahhahah.....fantastic mo2...love it!!

nothing for me I'm afraid though

ellieandhattie · 21/04/2007 11:01

I really really didmt want to do weaning early with Hattie cause of all the faffing but she simply wont drink any more milk (5/6oz tops) but she was screaming 2.5 hours after feed so in desperation gave her couple of spoons of baby rice and she literally lapped it up with big smiles. Am only giving baby rice at lunch time for a while and see what happens (and purlease no more weaning debates we'll all do whats best for each of them individually )

Ellie loved my veg purees hated most other things preferred jars/packet till about 9 months and started eating lumpier food then she liked my cooking. With but Hattie will just have dinners I have cooked as its damn sight cheaper and hopefully I'll only have to use jars if we are out/desperate (dont think she could have fish and chips pureed if we get takeaway )

LadyTophamHatt · 21/04/2007 11:39

Nah....EaH, lets ahve a great big screaming bitch fight

You're right though, individuals and all that

Ds1 was weaned at 11 weeks so I've done early weaning......really early weaning it was too!!

I felt so excited about the otehrs eating real food, but this time I really can't be faffed. Even if it was 4 month I'd still be waiting....far too much trouble.

Wilkie · 21/04/2007 12:21

When I was at mums we were reading her baby book she had when my sis was born (1977). It really made us laugh. It said:

'12 weeks is the perfect time to wean. Start your baby on a little cereal mixed with cows milk and sugar' Ha ha ha ha ha ha

laughalot · 21/04/2007 13:38

Started lauren on babyrice she loves it too. Got a party in a bit so hoping ds behaves himself. Went shopping to morrisons last night spent £ 123 .

Eah im really not happy with you I want the silver plant pot thing from homebase saw it on telly and said to dh that would look great near the door he ignored me...

Nemo2007 · 21/04/2007 13:44

am like LTH really cant be bothered with thinking about weaning but then it helps that C is hardly taking milk so cant see her being interested in food..lol. Think I left H until she was 5.5mths, but DS I weaned at 11wks because he was constantly hungry. He took 7oz hungrier baby bottles and still wanted more

Quick question C wakes up every 3hrs of a night[goes to bed 7pm wakes 8,11,3,5 then up at 8am. Now I dont mind if it was because she was hungry or needed anything but she literally takes 1/2oz of milk and goes back to sleep. Wont take a dummy and wont be consoled in any other way at all. So what do I do??? Have tried to fob her off with water but she wont have it.

RGee · 21/04/2007 15:17

OK, so DH is away this weekend, and am pi$$ed off as poor dd has tummy troubles just cos SMA decided to change their formula. Ggrrrr to SMA. Poor little fart pants. Maybe should go and puree veg instead
