@NameChange30 I think you posted a link to some gro bags (or equivalent) can you please repost? I tried scrolling through but can’t see it. We’ve got 2 but had a couple of situations where both have been in the wash when he’s been sick so think I’ll get another

The website is babycurls.co.uk - they have really good deals on 2 packs of Grobags, there might be some bargains on single ones too. Someone else mentioned that TK Max sell them at decent prices too.

purpleviolet1 · 11/10/2017 09:22

Missed all the messages! Mustn’t have refreshed

@NameChange30 that’s fabulous news! Really pleased. Hopefully this will be the start of better sleep for all of you. It’s amazing how much better one feels with a bit of sleep.

I really want to do Pilates too, I’ve done it before (a few years ago) and it really helped after the big abdominal surgery but I can’t find an evening class nearby

@HughLauriesStubble haha at no one clambering over you lol. Poor thing hope it passes quickly. It’s horrible being unwell yourself and then looking after poorly LO’s

Thanks, yes feeling a bit more human Smile
I found a daytime postnatal Pilates class that you can take your baby along to - I'd prefer an evening class without baby, but if there's one near you it could be better than nothing?
This Grobag is £17 www.babycurls.co.uk/baby-sleeping-bags/grobag-sleeping-bags/2.5-tog-grobag/grobag-sleeping-bag-safari-6-18-months-25-tog

Thanks @NameChange30 just need to get my card and will order

Ds really struggled to settle for his morning nap, took 30 mins! That’s very unlike him. He was up twice last night though so I think maybe he was overtired.

Carolann8584 · 11/10/2017 10:27

DD had trouble settling for her morning nap as well. Was only after she dosed off I smelt why. Poor little lady, I didn't even think I just thought she normally has trouble with morning nap if she's slept past 7.

purpleviolet1 · 11/10/2017 13:00

DS being very clingy today.. he was up twice last night as well (unusual for him). Took 30 mins Settling for morning nap and now will not let me leave the room. Stats crying hysterically with bottom lip hanging down, breaking my heart ❣. So he’s in the cot and I’m sitting beside him until he nods off.

Ooo been meaning to ask, how best to tweak routines for clock changes ??

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 11/10/2017 13:51

@name glad you had a better night. Moving to own room seems to be working. I think both parent and child keep each other awake /sense they are there and as get older they are harder to settle if they see you when they wake - where as if in own room they may mutter but often self settle

@hugh hope you are feeling better

I always avoid working last sat night of March and October 😂😂

Some day move routine 15mins a day. I don't bother. What would be 730am will be 630 - so just try and do the feeds and sleeps at what is the true time but Obv if starving feed

Bedtime sun try and keep up a little longer so what would be 7pm is really 6pm so try and make bedtime 30m later if possible and by Monday their body clock should be return to normal and wake their normal time

Just off for a photo shoot - friends hubby has started a photographer business and needs a baby

NameChange30 · 11/10/2017 17:32

Thanks Blondes! Hope the photoshoot went well.

How is everyone today? I managed a nap when DS had his lunchtime nap, and I actually feel worse Confused Clearly "sleep breeds sleep" applies to parents as well! Now I've had some I want loads more!

Carolann8584 · 11/10/2017 21:52

Need some ideas for DD meals. She's pretty much tried all veg now with different combinations, slowly adding different fruits as well. If we have a meal I think is suitable I'll blend her some to try, she doesn't seem as keen on anything with pasta or potato Hmm

I've tried giving her baby rice for lunch just so I sneak a bit more formula in to her but so far only added banana and broccoli (separately Smile) any ideas?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/10/2017 22:24

Add lots of sweet veg - parsnip carrot sweet potato peas sweetcorn etc

Dd either has remains of our food (tonight spag Bol) whizzed up with lots of veg

Or do basic meals for her and pot and freeze. Has own drawer

Cheesy cod pie and veg
Spag Bol and veg
Salmon rice and veg
Shepherd pie and veg
Veggie pasta bake
Macoroni cheese and veg
Roast chicken and veg
Roast lamb and veg
Bns risotto
Sausage mash peas /beans

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/10/2017 22:26

And photo shoot went well. Hopefully will be on the photographers website advertising xmas shoots soon

Sooooo cute huge

its the last week of DDs sensory class next week and it's fancy dress, she was given a vest with a tutu attached as a gift from SIL so shes going as a ballerina just adding some tights and a headband Smile

DD just had nearly 5oz of her DF Smile let's see how she does tonight

purpleviolet1 · 12/10/2017 08:20

Morning all, how are we?

@HughLauriesStubble sooo cute !

Ds woke twice again last night - 1.30ish when I fed him straight away, took 5oz and then he stirred on and off since 5ish but I let him self settle. Woke properly at 6.45ish I think but I didn’t go in until 7.15. Not sure why the last two nights he has had a waking around 1-2am. Do think it’s probably growth spurt related as he has been taking decent intake during the day. I should probably have got up and fed again at 5am so he had a proper sleep until 7.30am as I suspect that’s why he was in and out so sleep. I was just sooo tired though.
Every night I say we will get to bed early but it was around 11 last night. Tonight I’m going to be in my bed at 8.30! Asleep for 9ish... here’s hoping Grin

Oh ds tried those Ella’s melty puffs , he likes them! Do you just give them alongside purée ? Once or twice a day or something?

Morning purple

We had a bad night and I'm sooo tired and depressed about it Sad DS woke up loads and I ended up bringing him in with us at about 3.30am. Don't know if I should have given him ibuprofen last night but it didn't seem as if he needed it. The Myhummy (white noise device) stopped working probably so don't know if that was a factor. I'm sleeping more deeply but it makes it really hard to keep getting woken up. (In the last 2 months I don't think I've had much in the way of proper deep sleep, I'd got used to really light sleep hence constant exhaustion but at least I could deal with the wakings.) I was so hopeful that moving him had "fixed" it but I obviously got ahead of myself.

About the melty puffs, we just give him two or three with other finger food (usually veg of some description). He loves them but they're sooo messy! So we only give them from time to time.

NameChange30 · 12/10/2017 08:43

properly not probably

100yearsdotcom · 12/10/2017 09:14

We do the same with the melty puffs as name but dh absolutely hates them cos they're so hard to clean up!

We'd been doing really well and then last night DD had me up from 3.18 then was up during every hour since. Probably teething. Absolutely shattered.

Try not to despair name, you've been doing well and in all likelihood last night was (hopefully) just a blip same as us. Just keep swimming and I can send you some more cake and gin too!

Hashtag welcome and so pleased you had such great news!

purpleviolet1 · 12/10/2017 09:40

Really feel for your @NameChange30 it’s horrible being sleep Deprived. I think I’ve mentioned before that when I had my surgery I was told my ‘battery life would be half what it was’ And I was like Hmm but it’s so true. For me to feel fresh I need a decent 10 hours sleep. As 100, says nothing for it but to keep swimming unfortunately Sad last night was hopefully just a bad night

OP posts:
purpleviolet1 · 12/10/2017 09:41

@NameChange30 would you give finger food and melty puffs as one meal then? Without any spoon feeding?

OP posts:
NameChange30 · 12/10/2017 09:57

purple
Yes melty puffs and veg is a "meal"
We don't spoon feed him much because it's a battle, he is never interested and it takes a lot of persuasion to get him to have even a few spoonfuls.

NameChange30 · 12/10/2017 09:58

DS just had a 15 minute nap this morning instead of his usual 1 hour + so I am seriously pissed off with him now. So not in the mood for a tired whingy baby.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2017 10:07

@name sorry you had a bad night. Could be teeth. Def no harm in dosing up before going to bed

@purple was cold last night. Maybe wakes as chilly. What is ds wearing?

@carol. How did dd do after df?

@hugh. Cute pic and def take more pics as I always say photos are lovely memories

I think I must be a mean mummy.😳😳😳 Havnt given the puffs yet. Tho she has had prawn crackers while on holiday and loves rice cakes and baby biscotti fingers
