Teething and colds aren't fun

4 530 615

Dd is currently wide awake poking and slapping me but also chewing furiously on any finger she can grab while in bed - has been since 615

ahhhhhhh

Seems happy enough while beating me up. Very chatty

Going to try weetabix this morning for breakie

DD woke at 6 left her chatting to herself until 6:30.

Just changed her and she's had her usual breakfast feed of 3oz. She has actually fallen asleep on me! 😡 should have fed her at 6 and she probably would have gone back to sleep.

Naps are going to be off today. She hasn't even had her porridge. Might transfer back to her sleeping bag and cot

Awww poor DD blondes sounds like she is coping well just waiting extra cuddles and fingers to chew Smile

Will wake her at 8. Really don't like waking her, she pulls the same face as her DF when I tell him his alarm is going off for work lol 😪😴😪

Morning all,

Still full of the cold I didn’t sleep all night, my mind was just whirring away ds slept through until 5.45! So I should’ve had a decent sleep .... he did stir a few times but self settled within 5 mins if not quicker.

@Blondeshavemorefun Sorry to hear about your parents and inlaws I don’t have inlaws but luckily have my parents and know what you mean about feeling sad for LO that they won’t meet grandparents.

@NameChange30 I absolutely hate my hair all over the carpets/ flooring no matter how much I hoover! Ds has a new habit of holding my hair whilst he has his milk and after there is a clump in his hands I have dark thick hair so I’ve still got plenty

The sleep lady - I saw her at her sleep clinic for 1h consultation held in Edinburgh (as she is from here) and then two follow up calls for £75. However because we didn’t use the full hour at the sleep clinic (as she felt the issue was his allergy and we needed to deal with that first), she offered me an extra call. If I needed her further she would’ve charged £65 for 3 further calls. I know your not in Edinburgh and given that a tailored plan will be required for your needs why don’t you give her a quick call and explain the situation and ask her for her fees depending on what she thinks you require? Even if you are creating and following your own plan there is no harm enquiring.

@coupester And @HughLauriesStubble Thanks I think I’ll make an appt with the GP and ask for both to be checked.

Yesterday dh decided he wanted to change ds routine from 7-7 to 7.30-7.30 and so woke him at 07:20 (in an attempt to ease him
Into it) and then moved naps forward. Result was that his morning nap moved forward ok but then he got overtired between morning and afternoon nap and settled very late for afternoon nap, then woke up after 1 hour which he has Only done twice since he started sleeping 2 hours at this nap. Both times were because he was overtired when going down. So he was really grumpy in the afternoon and I put him down at 4 for an extra nap, he eventually nodded off at 4.45 and slept 30 mins. He was grumpy but slightly better after waking but was still ready to be asleep for 7.

I let dh try his routine because I felt I am always making decisions / being bossy about it but it was an epic fail if ds mood was anything to go by. Funnily enough I haven’t been strictly waking him up at 7am anyway recently and it’s not caused any issues so I’ve agreed to wake him by 7.30 if not already awake and keep everything else as is. Will tweak it if we need to but will see how we go for now. For ds it just shows how much he needs a stable routine.

@HughLauriesStubble since trying to get ds to eat again, sometimes he is only having a couple of teaspoons but the odd time he has had 2/3 of an ellas pouch so just variable really. I’ve found that he likes the pouches with broccoli but doesn’t really like any of the others Confused I don’t know if this is contributing to how much he is taking

Once a baby is in a routine @purple you can tweak /leave for longer eep when having solids

Hence instead of 7-7 dd does 7/730 and I wake her then

Apart from this morning and 615. She had her morning nap. Wish I did. I was in shower and blow drying hair

@hugh nope no teeth yet 'sigh' have dosed up with nurofen and taking calpol and teething gel with us plus snuffle babe

We will grow a tooth !!!!

Have a nice day all

And dd loves weetabix tho left about half so prob should have 1/2 of one

Porridge has 2 scoops which I think is a tablespoon per scoop

Has fish pie for lunch. And then rice cakes and biscotti fingers while we eat our meal at the wedding

Hmmmmmmm watch this space to how she behaves

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/10/2017 10:32

Maybe add extra purée broccoli

Dd loves brocokli peas and cabbage

Weird girl !!

Yes maybe that’s what I’ll have to do!!!

Enjoy the wedding!

Has anyone offered Farley’s rusk? My mum reckons I should add to nighttime bottle and it’ll help him sleep through Hmm

DMs bday today so we are going to spend the day with her. Me and ds full of the cold and dm has had a sciatica flare up. Prob just stay in although might try pop out for late lunch

@HughLauriesStubble DS has baby porridge and I tend to use 2 tbsp of powder which he usually finishes with half of it being round his face. He doesn't do as well in the evenings. I sometimes purée my own veg and put them in little freezer pots, it usually comes up to the 2oz mark and he doesn't usually finish one of those.

DD didn't want much of her 11:30 feed so made some baby rice and banana with it. She loved it. Had 10g of rice which is about 45ml of formula with half a banana

Ha, yes, name, it was my DH. He actually doesn't go out often, but I don't go out ever! But that's mainly because I don't really drink.

His beer festival is 12-3 I think, he's invited his friend back to ours after but he thinks he's also going to be able to clean and pack the car... will believe it when I see it!

DD resisting nap again. Don't what's going on with her the past couple of days. Doesn't want her naps. Just taken her 40 mins to get to sleep! I almost resorted to taking her out in the car! Not done that yet but she needs at nap and tried everything else

I mixed half a farleys with a bit of formula for DD. She wasn't keen. Think it was a bit sweet for her

DS is resisting his nap too. 45mins so far Sad

Carolann8584 · 07/10/2017 15:12

Just under an hour for her afternoon nap. Should have at least 90 mins. She woke up screaming wouldn't settle. Dummy, cuddles, lovey, teething gel nothing stopped her screaming for about 10 mins. She's now chilling with me in our room, I can tell she's shattered.

Her naps work so much better when she wakes at 5! Lol
