What walk down going forwards, rather than on his tummy?

2boysmacca · 15/04/2007 14:06

Luca does that too. Scares the heck out of me!

Party in full swing here. It's hot, the kids are grumpy and we are stressed.

KelBelle · 15/04/2007 15:49

Yep walks down just hanging onto banister.

Off to cousins now back later

Jelley · 15/04/2007 19:32

@ stairs. Your stairs are obviously not as steep as mine! DS won't even be attempting them any time soon. He can get up on to the top bunk very quickly though

Macca - sounds fun

No shed building today. As soon as dp got up I went back to bed, and left him in charge.

ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 21:21

hum, franny said just positioning too, seems kinds wierd that I seemed to have it sorted with no leaks and then 3 times on the run I get alot of leaks. I can see that the 1st time I may not have been as careful, and maybe the 2nd time, but the 3rd time I was wide awake and very aware that there were problems. Anyway, no leaks today so will just have to see. Will have to have sex on the 2nd day of my cycle next month and see what happens - I am sure dh will oblige .

csws - hope you all enjoyed the birthday party
kel - ds1 did stairs pretty early (in fact the first day he started crawling that afternoon he crawled up the stairs ). I taught him how to come down on his tummy asap and then on his bum bumping down. He started wanting to walk down them at this age, then after a few months went back to bumping down, and did that for another 2 years. T hasn't got near the stairs yet, I keep just carrying him up and down. MUST make him do it himself.
Jelly - hope you are feeling better soon.

Been out in the garden for most of the weekend, got the baby bath out and filled it with water for T and had to make lots of challanges for ds1 to get around the garden (he is addicted to raven, apparently its a bit like knightmare if any of you remember that), balancing on beams etc. Back to work tomorrow.

Frizbe · 15/04/2007 21:27

at you lot last night, very funny thread to read back, Jelley, glad I wasn't on it too

Flame, Candleston in Wales site

Yep I have a mooncup, tis fabby! agree with what CSWS said jiggle it a bit, and maybe a quick squeeze to ensure you have a seal?
reminds me to sterilize it and pack it, as obviously due on, on hols unless my period finally works its way back to its proper place of 27th of the month!! it does seem to be trying to!

So anyone else being feasted on by small flying things.......a friend has told me to eat lots of marmite......yest I sprayed my arms before we ate outside (friends over for BBQ) but missed a small gap between my jeans and trainers, I now have very munched ankles and itchy!!! no anti histimines available at supermkt either

Macca I'll squish you in my case, as not even started packing it yet, so if you get in 1st we're sorted!! Looking forward to going, just hoping mum is going to be ok,(mum and dad coming too, babysitting help!) as looks like she caught the icky bug, she's been in bed since Friday with the trots n feeling sick, she assures me that she's had a few biscuits to eat today and some dirolyte. My dad eventually got from Supermarket today, after trying to persuade me to drive over (3/4 of an hours drive)to theirs as he didn't want to go into Tescos, I gave him a pep talk 'come on Dad, your nearly 65, just go in and ask an assistant where it is! you can do it' to which he grumbled that he couldn't, but eventually ended up at Morrisions with the next door neighbour in tow! men......

Ok sorry for the epic, will try and get back on tomorrow to say bye to you all properly!!!! can someone keep a tab of all the really good bits and fill me in when I get back!! kinda like morning papers roundup but just for this thread!

2boysmacca · 15/04/2007 21:43

Yeah right! I can't even remember what day it is let alone keep tabs on who said what

We're back. Got back about an hour ago. Let both boys cry for 20 mins so we could eat a Chinese. Ds1 was cryign as I didn't read him a story and tell him about his day and ds2 was crying as he's not slept since he woke at 6.00 this morning!

Going to unpack and then hit the sack.

Jelley · 16/04/2007 07:23

Have a lovely holiday Frizbe (and macca if you squeeze into the case!)

PhoenixGirl · 16/04/2007 08:08

Morning,
I've got the dentist this morning for a filling, xrays and a scale and polish. I'm scared I ain't been to the dentist in 10 year.

Then later we've got a guy coming to give us a quote for a new roof and a joiner to quote for the attic doing (well putting a few stud walls up)

Anyone else doing anything exciting?

mustrunmore · 16/04/2007 08:23

Holiday !!

Ds1 slept in our bed for FOUR HOURS yesterday afternoon Left him playing while I got lunch, called him, went to check him... fast asleep. Nothing would wake him! Not even a baby climbing on his head. No sleepy nappy on, obviously, so he weed all in my bed Then was up till 10pm watching Peter Rabbit. And ds2 had napped 3-4.40pm, so he was up till gone 8pm. Was there something in our water yesterday??!!

Back to realitytoday, even though its the last day of the hols... we need groceries!! Have given ds1 the choice of supermarkets though. He's chosen one close to ELC and McD's

mustrunmore · 16/04/2007 08:25

pg, I remember going to the dentist when i was pregnant, and thinknig I'd use it as a practice for the pain of giving birth. He got to about 6 inches away, I tensed up stiff as a board and my heart was pounding, and tears came to my eyes when he did the filling was easier to have a c section! But at least you get a sticker from the dentist

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/04/2007 09:01

Tumbletots and zoo for us today. You've got me worried saying that it's still hols today though. I hope it's TT, as we're leaving for it in 5 mins!

2boysmacca · 16/04/2007 10:35

We're back to school this week

Ds1 just had a melt down in town. It was so bad, a lady stopped and told him to behave himself

I just do not know where all this anger has come from. He never really did the terrible 2's...

Jelley · 16/04/2007 11:54

Why do total strangers feel the need to tell small children off?

Mine are back at school today

2boysmacca · 16/04/2007 12:55

I'm not sure what I'll be doing this afternoon but I know what I'll be doing this evening, ironing! Lots of it!!

Next door were cleaning their patio with a power jet last weekend and I've gone ouside to hang the washing out and our patio has all their mud! Because our stones are riven, all the mud has settled. Their house and land is about 2 foot above ours so everything draiend down. Argghhhh. We only cleaned ours a week before them

ellenrose · 16/04/2007 13:34

2boys - what a nightmare. I am having to re-wash whole load today because our neighbours had a particularly stinky bbq last evening and I wasn't quick enough to rescue from the line

Just ordered my mooncup

Jelley · 16/04/2007 13:36

SOUPDRAGON I got the shoes today....thankyou

Jelley · 16/04/2007 13:36

Chloe55 · 16/04/2007 13:52

Morning ladies,

Sorry about my drunken ramblings on Sat night , dh didn't get in until 1.30am so I never did get my bloody kebaba nd cheesy chips!

Anyway, loads of housework to do but just signing in to say hi.

ellenrose · 16/04/2007 14:21

Have only just managed to read all the posts from the evening and stop laughing.

Flamesparrow · 16/04/2007 17:11

I'm a crap mum. My DD is out of control.

KelBelle · 16/04/2007 17:30

Flame - you are not a bad mum hon, what's up?

I went to friends today with DS and then came back and cut the grass. Going to join library tomorrow morning for DS so we can get some free books and we are also going swimming tomorrow.

He is having a very late nap now, just off to make him some dinner then walking dogs. No rest for the wicked!!

2boysmacca · 16/04/2007 17:35

Flame, what happened. We can compare notes

Ds been a little tike all day. In the end, I took them to the park as I couldn't stand it anymore. I didn't want to take them as it would have been a treat for his behaviour but I think I might have smacked him if I'd stayed in any longer

All fed. Just waiting 10 minutes before bathtime then straight to bed. I can then do a little cleaning and watch Dr Who!
